Xiao Wu is a transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast whose home is the Star Dou Great Forest. Humans killed her mother, leaving her deeply distrustful of powerful human soul masters and particularly wary of anyone who might covet her soul ring or soul bone. 102 104

She shares a close bond with Da Ming, the Sky Azure Bull Python, and Er Ming, the Titan Giant Ape. Both address her as “Sister Xiao Wu,” and Er Ming's longing to see her causes him to carry her away during Tang San's soul-ring hunt. 77 104

After returning to the forest, Xiao Wu learns that Er Ming has disappeared. She blames herself for possibly contributing to his fate, while Da Ming ultimately risks entering the Core Area to seek the Beast God's aid. Er Ming later returns to the Lake of Life. 105 239 240 243

Xiao Wu arrives for academy registration with Tang San and tests at rank 29. During Tang San's conflict with the academy, she remains in a virtual pod completing the third-round assessment while Tang San tries to take her away. 7 9

She later enters the Suo Tuo Great Spirit Arena for individual matches. When Tang Wulin severely injures Tang San, she rushes onto the stage, supports Tang San in her arms, and confronts Tang Wulin in anger. 25 27

Star Dou Great Forest Incident

Xiao Wu accompanies Tang San's group into the Star Dou Great Forest for his third soul ring. Er Ming takes her away, but she cannot openly reveal their familiarity without exposing herself as a transformed soul beast. 76 77

After ensuring Er Ming will not provoke the humans, Xiao Wu condenses her third soul ring and returns to Tang San's group. Tang San's meridians are damaged during his absorption, and Xiao Wu blames herself for the incident. 77 83
