Background / History

Tang Hao raised Tang San alone after the boy lost his mother. He later admits that he drank, lived in despair, fled from responsibility, and failed to properly oversee Tang San's Martial Soul awakening; Tang San's early growth instead came through his own effort and Yu Xiaogang's guidance. His guilt made him fiercely protective of his son. 14

After Tang San was rejected by Shrek Academy, Tang Hao broke into the academy at night to demand justice. He intended to punish those responsible and confronted Dean Lin Feng with the Clear Sky Hammer, but Lin Feng crushed him into the ground with an unseen force and fitted him with Soul Sealing Shackles. 14 135

Shrek Academy subsequently used him as a combat opponent in the Spirit Ascension Platform. Although restricted to three rings, Tang Hao retained a powerful physique and fought Tang Wulin's group with the Clear Sky Hammer. The repeated forced battles left him fearful of Lin Feng and increasingly exhausted. 46 48 49

Tang San eventually encountered Tang Hao in the Confinement Room. Tang Hao explained that he had been captured on the day of Tang San's rejection, having come to avenge the humiliation he believed his son had suffered. 128 135

While imprisoned, he fought beside Tang San against Tang Wulin and attempted to pass on the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer technique. Both father and son were defeated, and Tang San retained no memory of the lesson afterward. 136

Tang Hao is fiercely protective of Tang San. His decision to attack Shrek Academy stemmed from guilt over his failures as a father and his refusal to let others humiliate his son. 14 135

He is proud, aggressive, and accustomed to solving conflict through overwhelming force. Even when reduced to three rings, he considers Shrek Academy's students beneath him and responds to their coordinated attacks with open contempt. 47 48
