Background / History
In the What-If Timeline, Son Goku and Vegeta failed to fuse against Super Buu. He killed them, ruled their timeline, and later destroyed more than half of the universe after becoming effectively unchallenged. Bored by his victories, he learned from Zuno that alternate timelines existed and used a Supreme Kai Time Ring to seek stronger opponents elsewhere. 131
Super Buu arrives outside West City in an orange-red martial arts uniform, having previously absorbed Son Gohan. He quickly recognizes that the new timeline differs from his own: Majin Buu is alive, several unfamiliar fighters exist, and a powerful figure named Roger is absent from his original history. 131 132
Appearance
Super Buu is a medium-built, pink Majin Buu with a head antenna and an orange-red martial arts uniform. His body can be torn apart, scorched, or reduced to fragments without remaining permanently damaged. 131 133
- Pink skin and an elastic, malleable body.
- Long head antenna capable of firing pink energy beams. 134 139
- Wears clothing associated with the Son Gohan he absorbed in his original timeline. 131 132
- Can regenerate even after his body is scattered into separate pieces. 133 138
Personality
Super Buu is arrogant, confrontational, and driven by boredom with easy victories. He travels to another timeline specifically to find opponents strong enough to challenge him before attempting to rule that timeline as well. 131 132
He routinely underestimates opponents, dismissing Vegeta and initially treating Rigor as someone he could defeat with ease. However, he becomes cautious around fighters whose strength exceeds his expectations, particularly Luo Gohan, Rigor, and Roger. 132 135 138 139
“Because I was bored!” 132
Abilities & Skills
Regeneration
Super Buu can restore his body from severe physical damage, including dismemberment, burning, and fragmentation.
- Reformed after Luo Gohan’s Kamehameha and a redirected energy sphere tore his body apart. 133
- Reconstituted after Rigor repeatedly blasted his body into fragments. 135 138
- His regeneration alone does not protect him from Roger’s Destruction Energy. 139
Absorption
Super Buu can absorb other beings and add their power to his own.
- Had already absorbed Son Gohan before entering the main timeline. 131 132
- Planned to absorb Luo Gohan, but abandoned the attempt because the surrounding fighters made a sneak attack difficult. 135
- Absorbed an alternate-timeline Rigor after gaining immortality, greatly increasing his strength. 137
Immortality
After returning to his original timeline, Super Buu uses Namek’s Dragon Balls to obtain an immortal body. 137
- Uses immortality to wear down and eventually absorb an otherwise stronger Rigor. 137
- Believes immortality makes Roger unable to kill him. 139
- Is nevertheless erased when Roger freezes time and attacks him with Destruction Energy. 139
Energy Projection and Combat
Super Buu is a fast close-range fighter who supplements his physical attacks with large-scale pink energy techniques.
- Defeats Super Saiyan III Vegeta with superior speed, kicks, and energy blasts. 134
- Fires a massive pink energy sphere at Earth, forcing Luo Gohan to counter it with a Kamehameha. 133
- Uses volleys of pink energy blasts to bombard Rigor. 137 138
- Fires pink beams from his head antenna. 134 139
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Time Ring — Enables travel between timelines and automatically returns Super Buu to his original timeline when his body is nearly destroyed. Roger removes it during their battle. 136 139
Relationships
- Son Gohan — Super Buu absorbed his counterpart in the What-If Timeline; the main-timeline Gohan is the first fighter Super Buu confronts after arriving. 131 132
- Majin Buu — The main-timeline Majin Buu identifies Super Buu as his evil side. 132
- Luo Gohan — A fusion opponent who blocks Super Buu’s attacks, deflects his planet-threatening energy sphere, and forces him to regenerate. 132 133
- Son Goku — Super Buu killed his original-timeline counterpart and seeks another battle with the version from this timeline. 131 133
- Vegeta — Super Buu defeats him despite Vegeta reaching Super Saiyan III. 133 134
- Rigor — Super Buu’s principal target for revenge; he absorbs an alternate Rigor to gain power, then challenges the main-timeline Rigor twice. 136 137 138
- Roger — Recognized as Earth’s strongest fighter; Roger takes the Time Ring from Super Buu and destroys him with the Power of Time and Destruction Energy. 132 139
- Zuno — Provides Super Buu with Rigor’s location after Super Buu returns to his original timeline. 136

Arrival from the What-If Timeline
Super Buu enters the main timeline through a black vortex outside West City. He intends to locate powerful opponents, fight them, and eventually rule this timeline as he ruled his own. 131
Battle against Luo Gohan and Vegeta
After learning that Roger destroyed Evil Buu in this timeline, Super Buu clashes with the defenders of Earth. Luo Gohan repels him and prevents Earth’s destruction, but Super Buu regenerates. He then easily defeats Vegeta, including Vegeta’s Super Saiyan III form. 132 133 134

Defeat by Roger
After overpowering Rigor, Super Buu confronts Roger. Roger removes the Time Ring, freezes time with the Power of Time, and erases Super Buu with Destruction Energy despite his immortality. 138 139
