History

Shrek Academy rose from a destitute institution ten thousand years earlier into one of the continent's three great powers. Its growth was supported by accumulated strength, high-level soul masters, and the Golden Tree on Sea God Island. By the beginning of the story, it possessed a Limit Douluo, more than five Super Douluos, and numerous Titled Douluos 4.

Four thousand years before the present events, Shrek led the Douluo Three Kingdoms and allied Titled Douluos in defeating the Sun and Moon Empire. This victory elevated its status above that of an ordinary academy; its master was regarded by many natives of the Three Kingdoms as comparable to an emperor 131.

At the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Soul Fighting Tournament, Zhang Lexuan represented Shrek in the final against the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy. She defeated all seven opposing contestants alone, securing the championship and publicly demonstrating Shrek's strength 1 3.

A conflict with Wang Chen began when his spiritual-pressure aftermath damaged spirit medicines within Shrek territory. Yan Shaozhe attempted to detain him for compensation and ransom, but Wang Chen killed him; Xuan Zi was subsequently gravely injured in pursuit 125 126 130. Mu En mobilized Shrek's Titled and Super Douluos and used the academy's influence to organize a continent-wide hunt for Wang Chen 131.

Mu En later died from injuries sustained while pursuing Wang Chen. Before his death, he merged his soul into the Golden Tree so that he could continue defending Shrek through its power 146 148.

Following the Holy Spirit Cult's invasion of the Star Luo Empire, Shrek convened the Sea God Pavilion and formed an alliance with the Douluo Three Kingdoms and major sects to suppress the Evil Soul Masters. The resulting Town Evil War raised Shrek's prestige despite its losses 181 191 198.

Wang Chen ultimately attacked Shrek Academy directly. Xuan Zi and Mu En's Golden Tree-empowered soul were defeated, and Shrek's remaining Super Douluos and Titled Douluos were annihilated during their final assault. Wang Chen then reduced the academy to ruins with Space-Time power, preserving only the Golden Tree before relocating Sea God Island 199 200 201.

Organization and Influence

• Sea God Pavilion — Shrek's governing body and seat of its highest leadership. After Mu En and Yan Shaozhe's deaths, it retained eight members; Xuan Zi served as acting Master 181.
• Territory — Shrek possessed the Lima Plain as its territory, Shrek City as its city, and the Shrek Army as its military force 131.
