Learn from the Uchiha Clan, Strive to be a Good Person in Konoha

Land of Wind, Hidden Sand Village.

The First Kazekage, Reto, received an invitation from Konoha—Konoha had invited the Kage of the Five Great Ninja Villages to Konoha for a Five Kage Summit, where they would discuss the future development of the ninja world and build a "community with a shared future for the ninja world."

Should he go or not? Reto was uncertain. Holding a meeting on someone else's turf meant that if Konoha harbored ill intentions, they could easily wipe them all out in one stroke. Though Reto was confident in his own strength, he was not arrogant enough to believe he could emerge unscathed from Konoha's territory.

"Shamon, do you think we should go?" Reto asked his trusted right-hand man.

Shamon thought for a moment. "Kazekage-sama, since Konoha sent out invitations, we can't be the only ones from Hidden Sand Village to receive one. Hidden Cloud, Hidden Mist, and Hidden Stone must have received them as well."

"Besides, Hidden Sand Village is Konoha's ally, at least on the surface. Konoha probably wouldn't dare outrage the world by plotting against us. We can send word to Hidden Mist and Hidden Cloud first, then have the three villages' Kage gather and travel to Konoha together. And Hidden Stone Village as well. Hidden Stone is Konoha's ally just like us; I believe the Tsuchikage understands that if the lips are gone, the teeth will be cold."

"Fine, then we'll go. When the time comes, the four Kage will head to Konoha together. If Konoha really dares to pull something underhanded, I'll make them lose a few teeth."

Hidden Stone Village.

The First Tsuchikage, Ishikawa, also received an invitation. He sought out Mu to discuss a response.

As Konoha's ally, the First Tsuchikage Ishikawa was not worried that Konoha would openly move against them. What he feared was that Konoha would use the opportunity to raise conditions they could not accept, thereby giving Konoha an excuse.

"Tsuchikage-sama, when the time comes, we should join forces with the other hidden villages and stand together. If Konoha truly tries to force the issue, I believe the other hidden villages will not simply stand by. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. We are allied with Konoha, but we can also ally ourselves with the other hidden villages," Mu analyzed.

"Mm. Send messages to the other hidden villages. Tell them that on this trip to Konoha, Hidden Stone Village is willing to advance and retreat alongside them."

Hidden Cloud Village.

Unlike Hidden Sand and Hidden Stone Village, which had their reservations, Hidden Cloud Village immediately assembled nearly a dozen elite jonin to accompany the Raikage after receiving the news. Should Konoha show any ill intent, they would resist at once.

Hidden Mist Village.

After receiving the invitation, the First Mizukage, White Lotus, likewise contacted the other villages and arranged for them to depart together. On the issue of Konoha, the various Kage had reached an unprecedented consensus: they would stand together and would not negotiate terms with Konoha separately.

Konoha Village, Hokage's Office.

Uchiha Madara sat behind his desk, with a stack of documents piled before him.

"Hokage-sama, this is the construction plan and budget for Konoha's orphanage and nursing home. It requires your signature."

"Hokage-sama, this is the Medical Department's plan to build a new hospital. It requires your signature."

"Hokage-sama, this is the commendation list for Konoha's recent Good Deeds campaign. Please let us know when you are free; we need you to present the awards."

Uchiha Madara sat in his office reviewing documents. Though he did not enjoy this sort of seemingly tedious work, heavy lies the crown. Since he was already Hokage, he had to do what a Hokage was supposed to do.

As the Hokage's assistant, Uzumaki Shino was also busy every day without her feet touching the ground. By now, she had completely gotten over her infatuation with Uchiha Madara. After becoming the Hokage's assistant, she thoroughly enjoyed this fulfilling feeling. Screw love—she wanted to be the leading lady of her own career.

As Konoha's development became increasingly comprehensive, Uchiha Yan proposed Konoha's first Three-Year Plan: to fully build the ninja world's model village.

Good health and safety, good material prosperity, good security for the young and old, harmonious clans, and freedom and harmony.

To this end, he personally wrote the Konoha White Paper on Peaceful Coexistence and Development, putting forward the concept of "Four for the Old, Four for the Young": every child would be raised, educated, protected, and given joy; every elder would be cared for, supported, kept secure, and given happiness.

Uchiha Yan personally led the Uchiha Clan in launching a comprehensive aid campaign throughout Konoha for the elderly, children, poor, and vulnerable—delivering rice, flour, grain, and cooking oil to lonely elderly people; providing stationery and books to children from impoverished families; repairing homes for those with limited mobility; and arranging for those without any skills to learn a trade.

For a time, a movement swept through all of Konoha: "Learn from the Uchiha and strive to be a good person of Konoha." Reports of the Uchiha Clan's good deeds filled the streets and alleys—who had helped an old person carry water today, who had returned a wallet they found, who had led a child across the street. Whenever Konoha villagers gathered to chat, all they talked about was "someone from the Uchiha Clan doing another good deed."

Uchiha Yan even had slogans painted throughout Konoha's streets and alleys: "The Uchiha work hard, all Konoha prospers," "When Konoha has a need, the Uchiha respond," and more.

"Long live Konoha! Long live the Hokage! Long live the Uchiha!"

Such voices grew more numerous and louder by the day.

Senju Tobirama watched it all with growing anxiety. He wanted to crack open the Uchiha's skulls and see what kind of brains they had inside, to come up with things like this.

He could not even dream up such grand slogans.

So Tobirama simply copied them outright. If you couldn't beat them, join them. He clumsily began imitating them and came up with an event called "Senju Hand in Hand," intending to lead the Senju Clan into the streets to lend a hand and get closer to the villagers.

The event was called off before it had even lasted a day.

The moment those villagers saw Senju clansmen approaching in uniform, they turned around and left. One elderly street vendor even fell while trying to avoid them, hurriedly saying, "I just set up my stall. I'm leaving right away."

That was enough to kill the event before it ever got off the ground.

The Senju Clan controlled the Konoha Guard Department and had offended far too many people in their daily work.

As Konoha's Minister of Justice and head of the Guard Department, Senju Momoka had played an important role in maintaining Konoha's stability. He had cracked down on illegal street occupations, unlawful vendors, petty thieves, hooligans, and other idle troublemakers in Konoha. Yet unexpectedly, not only were these villagers ungrateful to the Senju Clan, they actually rejected them.

"Ungrateful peasants! Every last one of them!"

Tobirama slammed the table in his office. Senju Momoka sat opposite him, unable to keep a straight face either. As both Minister of Justice and head of the Guard Department, he had personally handled all these matters.

"Without the Senju Guard Department, you ungrateful peasants would be eating unhygienic garbage and gutter oil! Without the Guard Department, how could the streets have become neat and clean? Without the Ministry of Justice locking up those vicious criminals, how would your personal safety be guaranteed?"

Even after Tobirama finished cursing, he was still not satisfied, so he kept at it for another hour.

He cursed Uchiha Madara, then Uchiha Izuna, then Uchiha Yan. In the end, he got so worked up that even Hashirama got cursed.

"They're all evil Uchiha! Damn Uchiha Yan!" Tobirama had finally tasted the "boomerang" from the original story that had once been hurled at the Uchiha.
