Background

Lin Hao arrived in the Marvel Cinematic Universe believing he had been reborn. At age twenty-eight, he recalled recognizing Captain America in a school history textbook and realizing fifteen years earlier that his world was specifically the cinematic universe. From then on, his central aim was survival against “Director Mie,” with longevity as his second priority. 2 33

He joined S.P.E.A.R. at eighteen and spent a decade concealing his original appearance through gradual, deliberate alterations. Five years before personally arriving in San Francisco, he placed a doppelgänger using his true face in a Pacific-facing manor to establish a credible local identity. He later dissolved that duplicate and installed an artificial human, Zheng Xiaoxian, as the manor’s gardener. 2 190

S.P.E.A.R. approved his request to lead its damaged American branch, authorizing him to rebuild its intelligence network without forbidden methods.
