Background / History

Bei Bei arrives with Tang Ya after witnessing Ning An demonstrate Ghost Shadow Track. As a wielder of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Martial Soul and Tang Ya's boyfriend, he immediately recognizes the technique as a Tang Sect secret art and suspects Ning An of theft. 11 12

He initially places great confidence in Tang Ya's mastery of Ghost Shadow Track and expects her to defeat Ning An in their movement-technique contest. Ning An's overwhelming victory—and his unnoticed removal of Tang Ya's hair tie—forces Bei Bei to accept that the Nine Treasure Arts are superior to the Tang Sect's inherited techniques. 13 14

After learning that the Tang Sect's arts are incomplete and allegedly derived from the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, Bei Bei and Tang Ya submit the Tang Sect to Ning An rather than face its destruction. 14

Personality

Bei Bei is protective and devoted toward Tang Ya. When he believes Ning An has stolen Tang Sect techniques, he places himself in front of her and confronts Ning An with open hostility. 12

He is capable of reassessing his judgment when presented with proof. Ning An's superior movement technique leaves him shocked and grave rather than blindly defiant. 13 14

Following the Tang Sect's submission, he becomes deeply respectful of Ning An. He is willing to use his connections at Shrek Academy to secure Huo Yuhao's enrollment and tries to protect Ning An from the Mandala Snake before realizing the Young Sect Master's true combat ability. 15 16 18

Tang Sect Submission

After the truth of the incomplete secret arts is revealed, Bei Bei and Tang Ya accept Ning An's terms. Their decision preserves the Tang Sect as an affiliated sect of the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. 14

Journey to Shrek Academy

Bei Bei agrees to help Huo Yuhao enter Shrek Academy despite the complications caused by Huo Yuhao's affiliation with the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. 15

Mandala Snake Encounter

Believing Ning An to be only an auxiliary Soul Master, Bei Bei attempts to shield him from a thousand-year Mandala Snake. He is stunned when Ning An reveals the Dark Gold Dreadclaw Bear Martial Soul and kills the beast with Furious Bear Roar and Dark Gold Bear Stomp. 16 17 18
