History
After Uchiha Mirai defeated a Cloud envoy in Konoha, A investigated the incident and faced demands from the returning Cloud ninja to retaliate 27. Later, on the Land of Lightning Daimyo’s orders, he consulted Dodai and sent Yugito and four selected elite jonin to assassinate Mirai 84 93.
The mission failed. Mirai arrived alone at Kumogakure, blocked A’s attack with Susanoo, then devastated the village with an armored Godzilla’s Atomic Breath 93 94. A was left confronting the destruction of the village he had protected 95.
A subsequently sought Yugito’s release. He sent his younger brother Killer B with a Cloud delegation to Konoha, but B was captured while infiltrating the Uchiha Clan Compound 141 151. A blamed himself for B’s fate; Mirai then used a false offer of a Jinchuriki exchange to extort resources from Kumogakure 157 158.
Seeking a way to defeat Mirai, A answered a secret invitation from Orochimaru and saw his experimental beast, King Ghidorah 160. A later tried to trap Mirai with the Thunder Prison Seal, but Mirai broke it. When Ghidorah fought Godzilla, Orochimaru attacked A despite their shared enemy; Godzilla ultimately defeated Ghidorah 165 167 175. Kumogakure surrendered in the ensuing war 177.

A is fiercely protective of Kumogakure and Killer B. The damage to his village enrages him, while B’s capture leaves him both furious and remorseful 95 153 157. He is willing to take risks himself: he visits Orochimaru’s meeting place alone and later charges Mirai to rally frightened Cloud ninja 160 166.
He also repeatedly misjudges Mirai. He believes Yugito’s assassination team has the advantage, but its failure brings Mirai directly to Kumogakure; his later sealing attempt likewise fails 84 93 165.
