Background

Qin Qi is a transmigrator from the modern world who awakened his Martial Soul at Heaven Dou Royal Academy. Meng Shenji identified the green caterpillar-like creature as a rare detached beast Martial Soul, while Qin Qi’s soul-power test revealed Innate Full Soul Power. 1

Rather than immediately acquire a soul ring, Qin Qi chose to build his physical foundation. He and Qin Ming discovered that whale rubber could improve physical fitness, and Qin Qi delayed his first ring for a year. By age seven, his body was already comparable to that of a Rank 20 Soul Master. 2

In the Star Dou Great Forest, he defeated a roughly thousand-year digestive-type soul beast and absorbed its ring, becoming the first known Soul Master with a thousand-year first soul ring. The absorption was stabilized when the Strength-Eating Immortal Gu divided the incoming ring energy and buffered it before returning it to Qin Qi. 3

After obtaining his third ring from the Crimson Flame Qilin Horse, the Strength-Eating Immortal Gu triggered the awakening of Qin Qi’s second Martial Soul, Reckless Savage Demon Venerable. This Martial Soul can consume and manifest the powers associated with his soul rings through Freedom Incomplete Transformation. 37 38

The Strength-Eating Immortal Gu later underwent further transformations through high-grade resources, including Blazing Fire Academy’s medicinal bath and the Ten-Thousand-Year Profound Ice Marrow. These changes strengthened Qin Qi’s constitution, turned his hair blonde, and eventually gave the Gu ice-blue and crimson patterns associated with its ice-and-fire energies. 67 69 85 114

Qin Qi awakened a third Martial Soul after the Strength-Eating Immortal Gu entered his body again. The newly awakened Little Monkey is a Golden Behemoth rather than an ordinary soul beast and can feed life energy back to Qin Qi while eating. 73

At Dugu Bo’s Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, Qin Qi used the extreme ice and fire energies to temper his body and bloodline. His blood, bones, and internal organs became predominantly golden, while his awakened golden eyes allowed him to perceive energy particles, Soul Power circulation, and bodily structures. 109 110

After awakening the Rampaging Savage Domain during his extended spar with Sword Douluo, Qin Qi became a target for major powers. Following an attempted assassination connected to Qian Renxue, he chose to leave Heaven Dou temporarily and cultivate in the Far North rather than remain under protection. 132 137 138

In the Far North, Qin Qi disguised himself as an Ice Bear named Xiao Hei, befriended the Titan Snow Demon King A Tai, and learned to draw frost energy into his attacks and defenses. His cultivation later brought him into contact with the Snow Empress, whom he persuaded to become his Martial Soul in exchange for helping her survive her Heavenly Tribulation and pursue godhood. 144 149 153

Qin Qi and the Snow Empress endured the Heavenly Tribulation together. After she merged into his body, Qin Qi shattered the tribulation clouds with her Ultimate Ice and his swordsmanship, rose to Rank 61, and gained the Snow Lotus as a fifth Martial Soul. 153 154

His friendships later became the foundation of a political coalition supporting Xue Beng’s rise to power. By bringing together the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, Dugu Clan, Nine Heart Begonia lineage, Black Tortoise Clan, and Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, Qin Qi helped secure the new ruler’s position and received an unprecedented princely title despite having no imperial blood. 189 195

Seeking Level-100 godhood rather than a permanent role at court, Qin Qi obtained the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud and other resources from the royal treasury before traveling toward Sea God Island. After returning to Heaven Dou, Qin Qi entered the Star Dou Great Forest with the Snow Empress and Bo Saixi. Absorbing the Titan Giant Ape and Sky Azure Bull Python’s power brought him to Rank 91. He combines physical power with practical intelligence. Qin Qi repeatedly tests his body and Martial Soul, develops self-created techniques, recognizes his shortcomings in ranged combat and experience, and uses tactical deception against stronger or better-equipped opponents. 7 8 16 45

Despite his arrogance and tendency to provoke others, Qin Qi protects friends and intervenes against perceived bullying. He befriended Ye Lingling after mistaking Xue Beng for a bully, supported Dugu Yan during her conflict with Blazing Fire Academy, and chose to face Skywater Academy’s Ice Phoenix alone so his teammates could retreat. 5 19 49

Qin Qi is also fearless toward powerful seniors and hostile factions. He confronted Huyan Zhen’s son despite the danger of provoking Elephant Armored Academy, continued fighting while his body was severely damaged, and openly challenged Sword Douluo to test his own limits. 92 93 119

Although he often dismisses the strength path as “declining,” Qin Qi is determined to develop it further. He studies Martial Soul evolution, controlled mutation, Soul Power circulation, and Soul Core theory, then applies his findings to his own cultivation and publishes research for others to use. 55 100 110 116

Qin Qi can distinguish strategic withdrawal from cowardice. Following Spirit Hall’s attempt on his life, he left for the Far North to cultivate rather than provoke a conflict he could not yet win, intending to return for the Advanced Soul Master Tournament and its rewards. 138

His confidence has become increasingly ruthless toward those who deliberately threaten him or his companions.
