Background
Qin Qi is a transmigrator from the modern world who awakened his Martial Soul at Heaven Dou Royal Academy. Meng Shenji identified the green caterpillar-like creature as a rare detached beast Martial Soul, while Qin Qi’s soul-power test revealed Innate Full Soul Power. 1
Rather than immediately acquire a soul ring, Qin Qi chose to build his physical foundation. He and Qin Ming discovered that whale rubber could improve physical fitness, and Qin Qi delayed his first ring for a year. By age seven, his body was already comparable to that of a Rank 20 Soul Master. 2
In the Star Dou Great Forest, he defeated a roughly thousand-year digestive-type soul beast and absorbed its ring, becoming the first known Soul Master with a thousand-year first soul ring. The absorption was stabilized when the Strength-Eating Immortal Gu divided the incoming ring energy and buffered it before returning it to Qin Qi. 3
After obtaining his third ring from the Crimson Flame Qilin Horse, the Strength-Eating Immortal Gu triggered the awakening of Qin Qi’s second Martial Soul, Reckless Savage Demon Venerable. This Martial Soul can consume and manifest the powers associated with his soul rings through Freedom Incomplete Transformation. 37 38
The Strength-Eating Immortal Gu later underwent further transformations through high-grade resources, including Blazing Fire Academy’s medicinal bath and the Ten-Thousand-Year Profound Ice Marrow. These changes strengthened Qin Qi’s constitution, turned his hair blonde, and eventually gave the Gu ice-blue and crimson patterns associated with its ice-and-fire energies. 67 69 85 114
Qin Qi awakened a third Martial Soul after the Strength-Eating Immortal Gu entered his body again. The newly awakened Little Monkey is a Golden Behemoth rather than an ordinary soul beast and can feed life energy back to Qin Qi while eating. 73
At Dugu Bo’s Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, Qin Qi used the extreme ice and fire energies to temper his body and bloodline. His blood, bones, and internal organs became predominantly golden, while his awakened golden eyes allowed him to perceive energy particles, Soul Power circulation, and bodily structures. 109 110
Appearance
Qin Qi is physically developed far beyond his age due to the Strength-Eating Immortal Gu’s constant enhancement. By age ten, he does not look like an ordinary child, and Ning Rongrong remarks on his unusually mature physique. 61
- His skin and the Strength-Eating Immortal Gu became golden after a major transformation. 29
- His hair later turned completely blonde and was noted to be unusually stiff, resilient, and difficult to break. 69
- His eyes became golden after his bloodline awakening at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. 109
- During Freedom Incomplete Transformation, he manifests a blood-red cape marked by beast totems. 38
- His transformed state carries a savage, domineering aura and can surround his fists and feet with pale-blue flames. 37 38
- The evolved Strength-Eating Immortal Gu has a dark-gold body marked by ice-blue and crimson patterns. 114
- He takes care with his presentation, dressing formally and even wearing perfume when meeting the academy’s instructors. 11
Personality
Qin Qi is confident, combative, and highly conscious of his own strength. He habitually gives dramatic names to ordinary attacks in order to build momentum or mislead opponents, despite openly admitting that many of these “ultimate moves” began as forceful swings or shouted encouragement. 3 14 35
He combines physical power with practical intelligence. Qin Qi repeatedly tests his body and Martial Soul, develops self-created techniques, recognizes his shortcomings in ranged combat and experience, and uses tactical deception against stronger or better-equipped opponents. 7 8 16 45
Despite his arrogance and tendency to provoke others, Qin Qi protects friends and intervenes against perceived bullying. He befriended Ye Lingling after mistaking Xue Beng for a bully, supported Dugu Yan during her conflict with Blazing Fire Academy, and chose to face Skywater Academy’s Ice Phoenix alone so his teammates could retreat. 5 19 49
Qin Qi is also fearless toward powerful seniors and hostile factions. He confronted Huyan Zhen’s son despite the danger of provoking Elephant Armored Academy, continued fighting while his body was severely damaged, and openly challenged Sword Douluo to test his own limits. 92 93 119
Although he often dismisses the strength path as “declining,” Qin Qi is determined to develop it further. He studies Martial Soul evolution, controlled mutation, Soul Power circulation, and Soul Core theory, then applies his findings to his own cultivation and publishes research for others to use. 55 100 110 116
Abilities & Skills
Strength-Eating Immortal Gu
A detached beast Martial Soul that consumes food and converts its energy into Qin Qi’s growth.
- Eating improves Qin Qi’s physical strength and supports soul-power cultivation. 2 5
- It absorbs ambient spiritual energy while digesting, then returns both that energy and digested food energy to Qin Qi. 5
- Its enormous consumption forces Qin Qi to eat several meals per day and seek high-quality soul beast meat. 4 32
- After turning gold, it can strengthen its defensive golden light by eating. 29
- It can consume unusual materials; after eating the remains of the Millennium Ice Bear Arm Spirit Bone, it contributed to Qin Qi’s soul-power increase. 62
- It underwent a second metamorphosis after enduring the Blazing Fire Academy medicinal bath alongside Qin Qi, further increasing Qin Qi’s strength and appetite. 67 69
- After absorbing Ten-Thousand-Year Profound Ice Marrow, it developed ice-blue patterns and the ability to convert energy into mental-power-enhancing ice marrow energy. 85
- Its later ice-and-fire transformation gave it crimson patterns in addition to its ice-blue markings and enabled it to help condense the Water-Fire Tempered Golden Core. 114
Physical Strength and Constitution
Qin Qi’s main combat power comes from his extraordinary body rather than direct offensive Martial Soul abilities.
- At Rank 17, his physical attributes were comparable to those of a Rank 30 beast Spirit Master. 4
- At Rank 20, his raw punch was assessed as comparable to a Rank 31–32 Soul Master’s soul skill. 13
- He defeated Yu Tianheng, a two-ring Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Soul Master, with one punch. 6 7
- He can kill strength-type thousand-year soul beasts with a single punch. 18
- His golden body has resistance to lightning and fire attacks from opponents at least one major rank above him. 29
- He endured the extreme cold of the Ten-Thousand-Year Profound Ice Marrow and the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, which further tempered his body and bloodline. 78 109
- He developed immunity to Dugu Bo’s poison after being tempered by the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. 116
- He can force his body beyond its limits in battle, though doing so can shatter his bones and severely damage his muscles and organs. 93 94
First Soul Skill — Three Meals a Day
Qin Qi’s first soul skill is a consumption-oriented ability rather than a combat technique.
- Increases his capacity to eat, effectively making him a “bottomless pit.” 4
- Provides no direct offensive power; Qin Qi relies on his body and self-created techniques in battle. 13
Second Soul Skill
A second consumption-based skill acquired from his second thousand-year soul ring.
- Consumes Qin Qi’s own Soul Power rather than meat. 19
- Refines the absorbed Soul Power and returns it to Qin Qi at a higher quality over time. 19
- This continuous refinement has made Qin Qi’s Soul Power exceptionally dense, with Qin Qi judging its quality to exceed that of many ordinary Titled Douluo. 110
Fourth Soul Skill — Mental Power Enhancement
A mental-power enhancement produced through the Strength-Eating Immortal Gu’s absorption of Ten-Thousand-Year Profound Ice Marrow.
- Temporarily enhances Qin Qi’s mental power, perception, and reaction speed. 85
- Manifests as pale-blue patterns across Qin Qi’s body while active. 85
- Enables Qin Qi to perceive nearby movement in far greater detail, though it consumes substantial energy and leaves the Gu hungry afterward. 85
- Its effects contributed to Qin Qi’s later ability to observe energy particles and internal Soul Power circulation. 109 110
Fifth Soul Skill — Dark Gold Blood Essence Soul Ring
A self-created, growing fifth soul ring formed from Qin Qi’s spiritual power, Soul Power, Bloodline Power, and the Golden Behemoth’s assistance.
- The ring grows in age and strength alongside Qin Qi rather than possessing a fixed age. 115
- Qin Qi can alter its dark-gold color into black to conceal its unusual nature. 115
- Stores Bloodline Power as a reserve; Qin Qi filled it with an amount equal to one thousand percent of his own Bloodline Power. 115
- Its soul skill increases Qin Qi’s strength in proportion to the severity of his injuries. 115 121
- Functions as a “health potion” by preserving Bloodline Power for later use. 115
Self-Created Soul Skills
Yora Yora Yora Yora Yora
A rapid barrage created by concentrating soul power into Qin Qi’s fists.
- Fires more than one hundred punches in quick succession. 8
- Projects soul-power impacts over range, leaving trees riddled with holes. 8
- Has strong power, speed, range, and destructive force, but consumes large amounts of soul power. 8
Coil
A refined soul-power reinforcement technique.
- Wraps soul power around fists and legs to improve offense. 11
- Covers the body in soul power for defense. 11
- Functions as an auxiliary enchantment-style technique rather than a conventional soul skill. 11
Armor Shatter
A force-based technique used during the Blazing Fire Academy conflict.
- Defeated two agility-attack Soul Masters while Qin Qi broke through the opposing formation. 22
Eula Punch
A full-force strength-path attack.
- Used after Qin Qi’s soul power was exhausted and his strength was waning. 23
Day Tiger and Yura Fist Technique
Qi-path and strength-path killing moves.
- Used together to overwhelmingly defeat Yu Tianxin during the academy exchange tournament. 43
Pinwheel
A force-based ultimate move.
- Used by Qin Qi during the academy exchange tournament as part of his evolving strength-path combat system. 41
Thousand-Layer Waves
A wind-path killing move.
- Developed and employed during Qin Qi’s third soul-ring hunt. 35
Thunder Half-Moon Slash
A named attack Qin Qi initially used as a momentum-building shout while wielding a halberd.
- First used to kill his first ring soul beast with a full-force halberd strike. 3
- Later, Blade Dao Killing Move—Thunder Half-Moon Slash defeated Shui Bing’er and amplified his strength to a level comparable to a Rank 60 Soul Master. 50
Five-Finger Fist-Heart Sword
A sword-qi killing move Qin Qi developed after observing Sword Douluo’s Seven Killings Sword Technique.
- Qin Qi rapidly comprehended and reproduced a form of Seven Killings Sword Qi during his sparring match with Sword Douluo. 122
- Each raised finger corresponds to a successive sword-qi attack. 122
- Its final strike forced Sword Douluo to restore his strength as a Rank 96 Titled Douluo and use his Seven Killings True Body to defend. 122
Reckless Savage Demon Venerable
Qin Qi’s second Martial Soul, awakened after he absorbed the Crimson Flame Qilin Horse’s ten-thousand-year soul ring. It is also called the Rampaging Savage Phantom.
- Manifests as a bare-chested, red-haired phantom covered in totems. 38
- Shares sensations with Qin Qi; striking the phantom causes Qin Qi to feel the same force. 38
- Displays limited self-awareness and a pronounced habit of posing to show its muscles. 38
- Can absorb and later restore Qin Qi’s soul rings, converting their associated beasts into totems. 38
- It can eat alongside Qin Qi and his other Martial Souls, receiving energy through their shared cultivation. 65 73
- It can merge with Qin Qi as the Rampaging Savage Totem during Freedom Incomplete Transformation. 92
Freedom Incomplete Transformation
The signature state of Reckless Savage Demon Venerable.
- Temporarily consumes Qin Qi’s displayed soul rings; dismissing the transformation restores them. 38
- Grants Qin Qi the strength, speed, defense, and special abilities of the soul beasts represented by his totems. 38
- Devour Heaven and Earth — increases soul-power recovery speed by thirty times. 49
- Azure Ox Strength — doubles Qin Qi’s strength and grants the Azure Ox’s defense. 49
- Crimson Flame Possession — grants fire control and increases leg speed. 49
- The combined three-totem state enabled Qin Qi to clash with and partially shatter Shui Bing’er’s Ice Phoenix. 49
- The form has substantial soul-power consumption. 38
- Qin Qi can use the form’s enhancement with his injury-based fifth soul skill, allowing his combat ability to rise sharply while wounded. 121 122
Ice Bear Totem
A fourth totem gained after the Rampaging Savage Phantom absorbed the Millennium Ice Bear Arm Spirit Bone.
Golden Behemoth
Qin Qi’s third Martial Soul, initially manifested as a little monkey.
- Awakened after the Strength-Eating Immortal Gu entered Qin Qi’s body again. 73
- Is a Behemoth rather than an ordinary soul beast. 73
- Eats alongside Qin Qi and his other Martial Souls, feeding life energy back to him and accelerating his Soul Power growth. 73
- Assisted Qin Qi in absorbing the energy of the Ten-Thousand-Year Profound Ice Marrow and in forming the dark-gold Blood Essence Soul Ring. 79 115
Water-Fire Tempered Golden Core
A Soul Core-like construct condensed through the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well’s energies.
- Formed after Qin Qi’s Soul Power, spiritual power, life force, and ice-and-fire energies were compressed into a central vortex. 114
- Appears as a small ice-and-fire-colored bead marked with dragon patterns. 114
- Continuously absorbs and condenses Qin Qi’s Soul Power, refining it toward a more solid state. 114
- Is associated with Qin Qi’s developing Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well domain. 114
Energy Perception
An awakened sensory ability associated with Qin Qi’s golden eyes and bloodline transformation.
- Allows Qin Qi to see ambient energy particles and perceive movement in greatly increased detail. 110
- Lets him observe Soul Power circulation, blood flow, muscular movement, and internal bodily conditions in himself and others. 110
- Allowed Qin Qi to identify inefficiencies in his own energy circulation and optimize his cultivation. 110
Cultivation Method
Qin Qi developed a four-in-one Soul Core cultivation method based on his detached beast Martial Souls, refined Soul Power, and vortex circulation.
- His method allows him to cultivate at approximately five times the speed of an ordinary Soul Master. 112
- His vortex circulation increased his Soul Power recovery speed by more than ten times. 112
- When combined with Freedom Incomplete Transformation, Qin Qi can absorb and recover Soul Power at an exceptionally high rate. 112
