Background / History

Ye Lingling is the only daughter of the Ye family, inheritors of the Nine Heart Begonia. Her parents sent her to Heaven Dou Royal Academy in hopes that greater contact with other students would ease her naturally aloof disposition. 5

Upon arriving at the academy, she is approached by Qin Qi, who recognizes the importance of having a powerful healer as a teammate. Though she initially responds with little emotion, she begins accompanying Qin Qi and Xue Beng to the sparring grounds and later becomes part of their social circle. 5 7 9

Qin Qi encourages her to approach Dugu Yan, but Ye Lingling is too anxious to begin a conversation. After Dugu Yan helps her clean cream from her clothes, Ye Lingling eventually communicates—largely through gestures—that she wants to be friends. Following intensive training at Blazing Fire Academy and Skywater Academy, Ye Lingling reaches Rank 30 and joins a soul-ring hunt in the Star Dou Great Forest.
