Background / History

The Great Shang Dynasty is the ruling human dynasty of the Human Realm Nine Provinces when Qin Feng transmigrates into Di Xin, its Human Emperor. After accepting Di Xin's identity, Qin Feng vows that he will not allow Great Shang to perish and directly names Hongjun and the Six Sages as enemies he intends to confront 1.

Great Shang traces its ancestry to Xie, a descendant of Emperor Ku among the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors. Its human imperial lineage therefore retains a direct connection to Fire Cloud Cave and humanity's ancient sovereigns 191.

Great Shang is treated as one of the main targets of the Investiture of the Gods Tribulation. Di Xin understands the tribulation as Hongjun's scheme against both the Interception Sect and the Great Shang Dynasty, and later reveals to trusted ministers that the dynasty is fated to be destroyed and replaced by Great Zhou unless its strength is secretly raised 1 18 23.

Di Xin's first major strategic advantage comes from the system's rewards.
