Background / History

Minato became Hokage after serving as the Jonin Council's head and earning the “Yellow Flash” reputation as a battlefield ninja capable of deciding engagements alone. Though he initially described himself as still learning the role, he was already well informed about the ninja world and the darker currents within Konoha. 3

His first inauguration visit was to the Uchiha Clan. Minato considered their exclusion from Konoha's leadership unreasonable given their contribution during the Third Shinobi World War, and he sought to free more of their combat strength from confinement within the Police Force.
