Personality

Tang San is intensely loyal to those he recognizes as family or benefactors. Yu Xiaogang's help after the Notting Academy deaths makes Tang San reluctant to accept criticism of his teacher, even after learning that Yu's methods may have caused another student's death. He chooses to verify Yu Xiaogang's theory rather than immediately reject him. 14 15

He strongly favors becoming a battle Soul Master over a support Soul Master, considering that path more compatible with his Tang Sect background and hidden weapons. 15 He is similarly protective of Xiao Wu, openly defying the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect when they attempt to take her. 40 41
