Background / History

Huo Yuhao comes from White Tiger Duke's Manor and carries deep hatred toward Dai Huabin, whom he regards as the murderer of his mother, Huo Yun'er 15. In the original course of events known to Jiang Yue, Huo Yuhao was meant to receive Dream Iceworm as the defining opportunity that let him defy fate despite Rank 1 innate soul power, but Jiang Yue takes that opportunity first, causing Huo Yuhao's future to diverge 9.

His martial soul awakens at the age of six with innate Rank 1 soul power. It takes him five years to cultivate to Rank 10, illustrating the severe limitations of his initial aptitude 9 36.

After leaving the Duke's Manor, Huo Yuhao meets Bei Bei and Tang Ya. Tang Ya accepts him into the Tang Sect largely out of compassion after learning he is an orphan, while Bei Bei treats it as a way to make Tang Ya happy despite Huo Yuhao's poor talent 10. Bei Bei and Tang Ya help him hunt a suitable first soul ring so that he can use the Tang Sect's special recruitment quota to enter Shrek Academy 10.

In the Star Dou Forest, Jiang Yue saves Huo Yuhao from a Datura Snake with three flying swords and points him toward a two- or three-hundred-year spiritual-attribute soul beast about twenty kilometers southwest 10 15. Huo Yuhao later obtains a hundred-year first soul ring and enters Shrek Academy 12.

At Shrek, Huo Yuhao is assigned to Dormitory 108 with Wang Dong. As Dai Huabin's injuries, lost martial soul fusion skill, and stalled cultivation undermine his former status as a prodigy, Huo Yuhao trains relentlessly in the hope of surpassing him and completely trampling his pride 163. Personality

Huo Yuhao is cautious because of his childhood at White Tiger Duke's Manor, but he is also quick to remember kindness. After meeting Jiang Yue, Bei Bei, and Tang Ya, he concludes that the peers he has met outside the manor are good people 10. His Spirit Eye martial soul and life experience make him sensitive to whether others are sincere toward him 15.

He is deeply stubborn. After Wang Dong injures him and forces him out of Dormitory 108, Huo Yuhao refuses to return or bow his head to an arrogant young noble 15. He also hides the intensity of his hatred for Dai Huabin from Bei Bei, lying that he only looks pale because classes were tiring 15.

Huo Yuhao is highly driven despite weak talent. He wants to become a Martial Soul Department core disciple even after becoming Fan Yu's personal disciple in the Soul Tool Department, and later declares his determination to become a ninth-rank soul engineer to help revive the Tang Sect 24 36.

Jiang Yue's fusion with Dream Iceworm removes the opportunity that originally defined Huo Yuhao's rise, making Huo Yuhao's fate one of the clearest examples of Jiang Yue's butterfly effect on the world 9.

Electrolux's remnant soul also enters Jiang Yue's Sea of Spirit rather than Huo Yuhao's. The divergence therefore removes both of the spiritual companions associated with Huo Yuhao's original development 9. Without the Ice Empress, Huo Yuhao also lacks the Ultimate Ice martial soul that would have transformed his cultivation prospects in the original timeline 63.

Star Dou Forest and Tang Sect Entry

Huo Yuhao joins the Tang Sect under Tang Ya and Bei Bei, then receives Jiang Yue's help locating a spiritual-attribute soul beast for his first ring 10. This lets him enter Shrek Academy with a legitimate hundred-year first soul ring rather than the disguised ten-year ring from the original timeline 12.

Shrek Academy Freshman Life

Huo Yuhao's early academy life is difficult. He is injured by Wang Dong, loses his original dormitory place, and remains one of the weakest students by cultivation 12 15 36. Even so, he continues pursuing recognition in both the Martial Soul Department and Soul Tool Department 24 36.

His grilled-fish business leads to a confrontation with Xu Sanshi over fish reserved for Tang Ya. After Tang Ya intervenes, Huo Yuhao's perception support helps Bei Bei defeat Xu Sanshi in the Soul Arena, securing another Mysterious Water Pill through their wager 17 18.

Freshman Assessment

Huo Yuhao teams with Wang Dong and Xiao Xiao, but their lack of coordination and his limited offensive ability hold the team back 22 36. They qualify for the elimination stage but lose in the round of sixteen, leaving Huo Yuhao frustrated with his own weakness 30 36.

During the round-robin stage, Jiang Yue eliminates Huo Yuhao first by breaking through Xiao Xiao's defense and placing a hand against his neck before he can react 23. The team nevertheless finishes the round-robin stage with eight wins 24. Against Ning Tian's team, Huo Yuhao has neither meaningful offensive power nor Mental Shock to interfere with her enhancements, leaving him dependent on Tang Sect movement and defensive techniques 30.
