Ye Family Marriage Alliance

Ning Fengzhi visits the Ye Residence with Ning Yunxiao and proposes a marriage alliance between the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and the Ye Family. Ye Cixin rejects the proposal, insisting that any alliance would require Ning's side to marry into the Ye Family. Ning Fengzhi remains outwardly calm despite the dismissal. 22

After leaving the residence, he berates Ning Yunxiao for ruining the arrangement. He reveals that acquiring the Ye Family is his objective and orders Yunxiao to make Ye Lingling marry him, even if he must force the matter into a “done deal.” 23

Ning Yunxiao Incident

When Ning Yunxiao publicly harasses Ye Lingling and Dugu Yan, Ning Fengzhi slaps and reprimands him. His priority is preserving the sect's public image, and he orders Yunxiao to apologize at the Ye Residence while planning to bring Chen Xin and Gu Rong as leverage against Dugu Bo. 55 56

Before Ning Fengzhi can carry out the planned apology, Dugu Bo and Ye Cixin arrive at Seven Treasure Mountain. Ning Fengzhi receives them with forced courtesy and presents Ning Yunxiao for an apology, but Dugu Bo kills Yunxiao with poison. 58

Conflict with Dugu Bo and Ye Xishui

Enraged by his son's death, Ning Fengzhi permits Chen Xin to fight Dugu Bo and openly desires Dugu Bo's death. 59

When Meng Chen intervenes, Ning Fengzhi dismisses him—only for Ye Xishui to reveal herself. Ning Fengzhi enhances Chen Xin and Gu Rong as they attack her together, but their ultimate techniques fail against the level ninety-nine Ultimate Douluo. 60 61

Submission to the Holy Spirit Cult

After Ye Xishui defeats Chen Xin and Gu Rong, Ning Fengzhi attempts to negotiate compensation. Ye Xishui instead demands that he and the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect submit to her orders. Unable to resist, Ning Fengzhi kneels and agrees to join the Holy Spirit Cult. 61

Meng Chen then reveals that the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda may be able to evolve into the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda. The prospect leaves Ning Fengzhi eager to prove his usefulness despite his humiliation. 61
