Background / History

Ye Xishui was cultivating in seclusion within the Holy Spirit Cult when an unknown power forcibly transported her to Meng Chen's era. A message instructed her to become Meng Chen's guardian, promising her a godhood once he inherited the position of God King. Seeking ascension above all else, she resolved to protect him and remove anyone who threatened that goal. 3

She revealed herself to Meng Chen near Notting Academy, where he immediately recognized her as the Death God Douluo. She accepted his warning that Angel martial souls—particularly the era's Angel God's High Priest—could suppress her evil-Soul-Master powers, and agreed to avoid exposing the Blood Soul Demon Puppet whenever possible. 3

As Meng Chen's guardian, Ye Xishui acquired ten-thousand-year whale glue for him, located a Millennium Azure-Scaled Thunder Flood Dragon for his first soul ring, and suppressed the beast so he could kill it safely. She subsequently tested and evaluated his Thunder Hell Spear variation, then provided him with a Sun-Moon Imperial Family spiritual-cultivation method. 7 10 12

When Tang Hao attempted to target Meng Chen, Ye Xishui overwhelmed him with her cultivation and soul-ring configuration. Following Meng Chen's preference not to have Tang Hao killed yet, she let him escape after placing a soul mark on him for surveillance. 17
