Background

Tang Wulin entered Eastsea Academy as a Rank 11 Soul Master with a mutated Blue Silver Grass martial soul. His early cultivation was hindered by the Golden Dragon King bloodline sealed within him, which had reduced his innate soul power from its expected Rank 10 to Rank 3. Despite this, he trained persistently and also studied forging. 9 32

He first met Xiling during a dormitory conflict with Xie Xie. Xiling caught him after Xie Xie threw him out of the room, then later supported Tang Wulin in Class Five and intervened when others disparaged his forging studies. 8 13 14

After dreaming of the Golden Dragon King and learning that he would die if its first seal remained unresolved, Tang Wulin sought Xiling’s help. Xiling explained both the danger and potential benefits of the bloodline; Tang Wulin chose to have it removed rather than gamble his life on its power. 31 32

The extraction was initially interrupted by Tang San’s intervention through Tang Wulin’s body. Xiling, Gu Yue, and Di Tian later succeeded in removing the Golden Dragon King bloodline.
