Shrek Academy has stood for at least ten thousand years as the continent's leading academy, with a reputation built on exceptional resources, powerful teachers, and generations of elite graduates. Its traditional motto is, “Shrek only accepts monsters, never ordinary people.” 44 78

The academy is based in Shrek City, the Federation's foremost city and the location of the Spirit Pagoda Headquarters. Despite the city's political and economic importance, it is not governed by the Federation. 56

Shrek's prestige suffers two major public setbacks through Xiling. He defeats a five-ring Shrek Soul King in one move at the academy gates, then later defeats Shrek's junior team alone during the Skysea Alliance Grand Tournament, ending its ten-thousand-year undefeated streak. 59 83

Notable incidents

Xiling's gate challenge

Xiling arrives at Shrek's gates and issues an open challenge to every academy student under twenty, with no limit on numbers. Four students accept; their five-ring Soul King leader is defeated in a single move before summoning his martial soul. 58 59

Outer Court dean Cai Yue'er confronts Xiling after he criticizes Shrek's students. She releases Super Douluo-level pressure against him, prompting Leng Yaozhu to intervene. Qingtian Douluo Yun Ming later invites Xiling and Leng Yaozhu into the academy to settle the matter. 60 61

Battle over the Golden Ancient Tree

Xiling requests to borrow the Golden Ancient Tree to restore Leng Yaozhu's life essence. Yun Ming refuses, as the tree is Shrek's foundation and has no precedent for being lent to an outsider. 61

Benares subsequently appears over Shrek in a thousand-meter dragon form, freezing Sea God Island and confronting six Super Douluo alongside Yun Ming. The incident exposes the academy's vulnerability to Xiling's forces and draws the attention of major powers. 62 65

Conflict with Long Yeyue

After Xiling absorbs 30% of the Golden Ancient Tree's energy and reaches the peak of Rank 69, Long Yeyue attacks him with Two Extremes Explosion, believing he has stolen Shrek's foundation. 162

Xiling uses spatial manipulation to evade and defeat her, leaving her seriously injured and damaging more than half of her four-word Battle Armor. Yun Ming later apologizes on Shrek's behalf and offers two hundred-thousand-year soul bones and one billion Federation credits in compensation. 165
