Shrek Academy has stood for approximately twenty thousand years as the continent's leading academy, with a reputation built on exceptional resources, powerful teachers, and generations of elite graduates. Its traditional motto is, “Shrek only accepts monsters, never ordinary people.” 44 58 78

The academy is based in Shrek City, the Federation's foremost city and the location of the Spirit Pagoda Headquarters. Despite the city's political and economic importance, it is not governed by the Federation. 56

Shrek's prestige suffers two major public setbacks through Xiling. He defeats a five-ring Shrek Soul King in one move at the academy gates, then later defeats Shrek's junior team alone during the Skysea Alliance Grand Tournament, ending its ten-thousand-year undefeated streak. 59 83

Following his later entry into Shrek as a teaching assistant, Xiling directly challenges the academy's institutional worship of “Shrek glory,” its treatment of Dark Martial Soul possessors, and its status as a quasi-independent power within the Federation. Xiling's gate challenge

Xiling arrives at Shrek's gates and issues an open challenge to every academy student under twenty, with no limit on numbers. Four students accept; their five-ring Soul King leader is defeated in a single move before summoning his martial soul. 58 59

Outer Court dean Cai Yue'er confronts Xiling after he criticizes Shrek's students. She releases Super Douluo-level pressure against him, prompting Leng Yaozhu to intervene. Qingtian Douluo Yun Ming later invites Xiling and Leng Yaozhu into the academy to settle the matter. 60 61

Battle over the Golden Ancient Tree

Xiling requests to borrow the Golden Ancient Tree to restore Leng Yaozhu's life essence. Yun Ming refuses, as the tree is Shrek's foundation and has no precedent for being lent to an outsider. 61

Benares subsequently appears over Shrek in a thousand-meter dragon form, freezing Sea God Island and confronting six Super Douluo alongside Yun Ming. The incident exposes the academy's vulnerability to Xiling's forces and draws the attention of major powers. 62 65

Skysea Alliance exhibition match

During the Skysea Alliance Grand Tournament, Shrek's seven-member junior team defeats six Skysea Alliance champions in under a minute, leaving Xiling alone. 81

Xiling reveals four soul rings at age ten and uses Spatial Folding to evade and redirect the team's attacks. He ultimately incapacitates all seven students with one sword strike, breaking Shrek's undefeated record before a live Federation-wide audience. 82 83

Conflict with Long Yeyue

After Xiling absorbs 30% of the Golden Ancient Tree's energy and reaches the peak of Rank 69, Long Yeyue attacks him with Two Extremes Explosion, believing he has stolen Shrek's foundation. 162

Xiling uses spatial manipulation to evade and defeat her, leaving her seriously injured and damaging more than half of her four-word Battle Armor. Yun Ming later apologizes on Shrek's behalf and offers two hundred-thousand-year soul bones and one billion Federation credits in compensation. 165

Long Yeyue's condition continues to deteriorate after the battle. Recurring nightmares and episodes of madness diminish her vitality and spirit, leaving Shrek unable to prevent a severe reduction in her expected remaining lifespan. 166

Xiling's teaching appointment

Wu Zhangkong introduces Xiling as the teaching assistant of Class One, Grade One, despite the Outer Court students' immediate doubts over his apparent age and qualifications. Xiling establishes his authority through a brief display of overwhelming strength. 167 169 170

In accepting the post, Xiling requires that all needed teaching resources be supplied, that he control the curriculum, and that he be allowed to remove students' blind reverence for Shrek's glory. Wu Zhangkong agrees to these terms despite Shen Yi's objections. 170 171

Glory controversy and Wu Zhangkong's suspension

Xiling's first major lesson declares Shrek's glory “worthless,” arguing that students have been bound by the academy's prestige rather than encouraged to cultivate according to their own judgment. Nearly the entire class reacts with outrage. 171

He subsequently challenges the class's understanding of Shrek history and uses a constructed illusion to make the students experience prejudice against Dark Martial Soul possessors firsthand. The lesson causes many students to question the academy's practices. 172 173 174

Cai Yue'er holds Wu Zhangkong responsible for failing to stop the lesson, temporarily suspending him and prohibiting him from teaching while she investigates the matter. 174

Exposure of the Inner Court disqualification

Xiling secretly leads the students to meet the former Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon wielder from Shrek's Skysea exhibition team. They learn that he was deprived of his Inner Court qualifications after his defeat by Xiling, despite his exceptional martial soul and potential. 176

The incident reinforces Xiling's criticism of Shrek's competitive culture and contributes to his conclusion that meaningful reform of the academy is unlikely under its existing structure. 176

Star Luo exchange mission

Shrek dispatches Tang Wulin, Xu Xiaoyan, Xie Xie, Ye Xinglan, Xu Lizhi, Yuanen Yehui, Yue Zhengyu, and Wu Sidu to the Star Luo Continent as part of an exchange mission. Cai Yue'er leads the group, while Wu Zhangkong serves as its instructor. 181

Federation taxation reforms

As Federation Speaker, Xiling introduces legislation repealing the tax exemptions and autonomous privileges of powerful organizations, including Shrek, Tang Sect, and Spirit Pagoda. Shrek-affiliated councilors oppose the measure, citing the academy's historical contributions. A proposal to preserve Shrek's exemption in exchange for an industrial contribution fund is rejected. 235

The Presidium passes both the repeal and a progressive-tax bill whose maximum rate for exceptionally large organizations is eighty percent. When the regulations reach Sea God Pavilion, Yun Ming reacts angrily to the tax imposed on Shrek City's income. 235 236
