Background

Early life and adoption

Na'er was found alone in Eastsea City with no memory of her parents or origin. Human traffickers cornered her before Xiling intervened and drove them away. After she gave her name, Xiling took responsibility for her safety, fed her, and arranged for the orphanage director to adopt her formally. 4 5

She became deeply attached to Xiling, who bought a home for them near Eastsea Academy and regarded her as a younger sister. Na'er repeatedly made clear that she wanted to remain with him above all else. 6

Recovered memories and departure

Although she spent more than two years without a Martial Soul, Na'er traveled across the Sun-Moon Federation with Xiling, learning about soul beasts, humans, and the responsibility tied to her identity. 7

Her memories eventually returned, revealing her as the Silver Dragon King's split body. Knowing she could not remain with Xiling, she left their home through a spatial rift, leaving him a silver-gem pendant. 7 8

Reunion and Dragon Valley

Na'er reunited with Xiling when Gu Yue brought her to Eastsea Park. Xiling had learned that Na'er's thirty percent share of the Silver Dragon King's origin could not sustain her indefinitely and sought a way to prevent her disappearance. 23 51 55

In Dragon Valley, Na'er and Gu Yue temporarily merged to undertake the Dragon God's trial. They later separated: Gu Yue recovered the complete Silver Dragon King origin, while Na'er received the Golden Dragon King's complete origin through the Dragon God's Heart. This gave Na'er a stable, independent life and transformed her eyes from amethyst to gold. 71 72

Appearance

Na'er is a delicate silver-haired girl whose appearance changes after her Dragon Valley transformation. She later resembles Gu Yue closely enough that the two appear seventy to eighty percent alike. 5 74

Personality

Initially timid, dependent, and easily frightened, Na'er finds security almost entirely in Xiling. She clings to him after being rescued and regards any place with him as home. 5 6
