Background

Early life and adoption

Na'er was found alone in Eastsea City with no memory of her parents or origin. Human traffickers cornered her before Xiling intervened and drove them away. After she gave her name, Xiling took responsibility for her safety, fed her, and arranged for the orphanage director to adopt her formally. 4 5

She became deeply attached to Xiling, who bought a home for them near Eastsea Academy and regarded her as a younger sister. Na'er repeatedly made clear that she wanted to remain with him above all else. 6

Recovered memories and departure

Although she spent more than two years without a Martial Soul, Na'er traveled across the Sun-Moon Federation with Xiling, learning about soul beasts, humans, and the responsibility tied to her identity. 7

Her memories eventually returned, revealing her as the Silver Dragon King's split body. Knowing she could not remain with Xiling, she left their home through a spatial rift, leaving him a silver-gem pendant. 7 8

Reunion and Dragon Valley

Na'er reunited with Xiling when Gu Yue brought her to Eastsea Park. Xiling had learned that Na'er's thirty percent share of the Silver Dragon King's origin could not sustain her indefinitely and sought a way to prevent her disappearance. 23 51 55

In Dragon Valley, Na'er and Gu Yue temporarily merged to undertake the Dragon God's trial. They later separated: Gu Yue recovered the complete Silver Dragon King origin, while Na'er received the Golden Dragon King's complete origin through the Dragon God's Heart. This gave Na'er a stable, independent life and transformed her eyes from amethyst to gold. 71 72

Shrek Academy and later training

Na'er studied within Shrek Academy's Inner Court under Yun Ming's protection and lived on Sea God Island. Following her reunion with Xiling there, she began attending his lessons and later trained directly through sparring sessions with him. 51 67 158 174 178

After arriving in the Star Luo Empire, Na'er was given a Blood God Legion recommendation letter alongside Gu Yue. Xiling sent both of them to the legion so that Na'er could develop her Golden Dragon King origin as quickly as possible. 200

During her years of training with the Blood God Legion, Na'er learned to react instinctively in combat. She and Gu Yue entered the Abyssal Passage and killed three Abyssal Kings, causing three Abyssal layers to collapse. When the Abyssal forces mounted a major assault, Black Empress recognized Na'er as the person responsible and targeted her. Despite injuries and a substantial difference in strength, Na'er fought on, absorbed Abyssal energy through her spear, and broke through to Soul Douluo while facing Black Empress and other Abyssal Kings. 247 248 254

After the Abyssal Sage King emerged, Na'er carried the Seed of Life sought by him; Xiling concealed it within her before it could be taken. Na'er and Gu Yue later aided the Northern Legion against the invading Abyssal army. Working under Gu Yue's protection, Na'er transformed absorbed Abyssal energy into life-giving energy that nourished the Seed of Life at the Lake of Life. She subsequently told Xiling that she had briefly sensed a faint will resisting her as she sent the energy to the Life Ancient Tree. Xiling later asked both women to help him move the tree to the Far North as part of his plan concerning the Abyssal Sage King. 255 267 270 271

Appearance

Na'er is a delicate silver-haired girl whose appearance changes after her Dragon Valley transformation. She later resembles Gu Yue closely enough that the two appear seventy to eighty percent alike. 5 74

Personality

Initially timid, dependent, and easily frightened, Na'er finds security almost entirely in Xiling. She clings to him after being rescued and regards any place with him as home. 5 6

Her restored memories do not erase that attachment, but she accepts that her identity carries responsibilities toward the soul beast race. Xiling encourages her to grow beyond relying on him alone. 7
