A Black man stepped out of the portal before Quicksilver. He was none other than the corrupted Mordo. Dark Quicksilver looked somewhat surprised. He did not understand why Mordo had come back to find him. He clearly remembered that Mordo had rejected him.
"You came back?" Dark Quicksilver asked in surprise, unable to understand why he had returned.
Mordo nodded without saying much, merely explaining, "The Avengers really do need to be eliminated."
Faced with Mordo's answer, Dark Quicksilver knew his chance had come. A dangerous curve formed at the corner of his lips as he said, "In that case, we might as well take them down one by one."
They both knew that once the Avengers gathered together, the two of them would be difficult to deal with and could easily be utterly crushed. So, they needed to pick them off individually. Only then could they secure victory in the coming war. Their gazes met.
Clearly, they had both considered the plan of picking them off one by one, and they already had targets in mind.
Mordo said to Dark Quicksilver, "The hardest people to deal with among the Avengers are Vision and the Scarlet Witch. Although they went through the Civil War, in the Avengers' hearts, Captain America and the others are still Avengers. So, what I mean is that these two should be dealt with first."
"If I remember correctly, the Scarlet Witch is my sister." Dark Quicksilver drew out his words as though he were pondering something while speaking. He touched his non-beating heart with a finger and said, "So, we should deal with her first. Everyone has a weakness, and I'm her greatest weakness."
Mordo warned him not to kill anyone, and Dark Quicksilver readily agreed.
Their agreement was thus established. Since Mordo had warned him not to kill anyone, that did not mean the Dark Blade would not kill. Dark Quicksilver smiled cruelly, but Mordo did not see it.
Mordo pondered the matter as he opened a portal. The Boots of Valtorr carried him into it.
"What are you going to do?" Dark Quicksilver asked, peering curiously through the portal. He did not believe Mordo's answer; he only believed what he saw and heard for himself.
Through the portal, he saw an archive room. There were no surveillance cameras around, not even any electronic equipment. There was only candlelight and files. Dark Quicksilver deduced that this was the Avengers' archive room, so he clearly understood that Mordo intended to search for the Scarlet Witch's whereabouts.
Dark Quicksilver watched Mordo, who was about to leave, and said, "I doubt you'll find her this way. After all, the Avengers' files won't contain the Scarlet Witch's whereabouts."
"But we can analyze her past and determine where she might want to go, return to, or visit often. Can't we?" Mordo looked at Dark Quicksilver as if he were looking at an idiot.
Dark Quicksilver said no more. He asked to wait for Mordo's return on the grassland. After all, devouring ordinary people's hearts would only intensify that craving and serve no purpose. So, resting here now was also a form of preparation.
Spider-Man and Lu Mingyu planned to make the two suits attack Hercules at the same time, so they began analyzing their running routes. However, Hercules and the others would not give Spider-Man and Lu Mingyu that time.
Lu Mingyu said that he would draw away the suit with freezing abilities, then vanished from where he stood. Spider-Man shook his head and said, "I can do it. I can do it."
Spider-Man charged down despite his weakened state. What they needed to do was draw the attacks toward themselves. Only then could they ensure Hercules would be hit.
Hercules' defense was exceptionally formidable, so Lu Mingyu and Spider-Man could only come up with this plan.
After all, Lu Mingyu had already used that skill once. Tony would certainly upload new programs into the remaining three suits. Therefore, those three suits could easily evade Lu Mingyu's attacks.
Spider-Man fired a strand of webbing at the restraint suit, while spreading a web in front of himself. At the same time, the restraint suit also fired a web-like mass of energy. This was the spider suit Tony had developed based on Spider-Man, but it seemed Spider-Man had anticipated it long ago.
So, he quickly wove the web together and blocked the restraining attack.
Spider-Man dodged left and right as the spider suit tore through the web. After turning and firing more webbing, Spider-Man gradually closed in on Hercules.
A strand of webbing quickly attached itself to Hercules' suit. Spider-Man wanted to pull Hercules a few steps, but it was simply too difficult. Using the tension, Spider-Man launched himself directly at Hercules. The spider suit charged after Spider-Man as well, continuously spraying web-like energy.
If Spider-Man was even slightly careless, he could be restrained. There were gliding devices like small wings beneath his arms. He released the webbing in his hands and began gliding through the air, constantly spinning to evade one web-based restraint after another.
Lu Mingyu was also quite fast. He successfully drew the aggro of the ice suit, running at top speed and continuously dodging freezing rays. In an instant, Hercules had already run in front of Lu Mingyu. At that moment, the attack trajectories of the spider suit and ice suit were no longer on Hercules, as though they had perfectly avoided him.
Lu Mingyu adjusted his running direction, but Hercules was right in front of him. With a flash, he evaded the spider suit's web attack. He slid across the ground, passing by Hercules' feet as lightning surged wildly in his eyes.
The Speed Force returned in an instant!
Lu Mingyu turned and vanished from the suits' field of vision.
Everything stopped. Lu Mingyu stood where he had turned, surrounded by blue lightning. Even the air around him became turbulent from the electricity.
Lu Mingyu's short hair seemed to be lifted by the wind. Blue lightning filled his eyes, while the lightning on the Allen Armor became especially bright.
Only a flash of blue light reflected in Spider-Man's lenses before Lu Mingyu's figure disappeared.
Lu Mingyu lowered himself into a forward stance as the Allen Armor provided him with enough speed. His entire body seemed almost illusory. Then, everything resumed.
Blue lightning continuously darted between the three suits, like an electrical tornado.
However, Lu Mingyu's attack had no effect at all on Hercules' suit.
Spider-Man sprayed webbing onto Hercules' legs and pulled hard, dragging Hercules to the ground. Spider-Man grabbed the webbing with his other hand, while the hand that had fired the webbing aimed at a distant wall.
After accurately firing webbing onto the wall, he gripped the strands tightly with both hands and pulled Hercules toward it.
Lu Mingyu's lightning was like the current within the suits. His speed grew faster and faster, and the current became stronger and stronger.
Spider-Man's webbing was quickly severed by the electric current. He watched Lu Mingyu's blue lightning, unable to figure out how Hercules could possibly be defeated.
Then, Lu Mingyu suddenly grabbed the blue lightning behind him. Like Thor, he directly struck Hercules' suit with it.
Lu Mingyu believed the current would destroy Hercules' suit, but who could have expected Hercules' suit to grow stronger and stronger instead!
