Background

Ning Rongrong is the daughter of Ning Fengzhi, Sect Master of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. Her birth and innate rank-nine soul power made her a celebrated prodigy within the sect, but she privately wished for an attack-type martial soul rather than a support-type pagoda. She kept that desire hidden because the sect expected her to preserve and advance its inherited martial soul. 3 4 13

She travels alone to Soto City to enroll at Shrek Academy. Before reaching the academy, she encounters the fortune-teller Yang Xing and initially tries to expose him as a fraud. His knowledge of her identity, family, hidden ambition, and purpose leaves her suspicious rather than convinced. 1 2 3
