Background

Di Jun is a Sun Star-born Innate Divine who shares authority over the celestial body with his brother, Taiyi. Both possess the Nine-Nine Supreme Fate, but Di Jun in particular follows the Imperial Rulership Dao and cannot accept submission to anyone he does not recognize as overwhelmingly superior. 72

His ambition crystallized when Dao Ancestor Hongjun named Dongwang Gong the leader of the male immortals. Di Jun regarded the appointment as a direct challenge to his own path, seeing Dongwang Gong as a potential Dao enemy and future rival for control of the Primordial World. 72

Personality

Di Jun is imperial, proud, and intensely ambitious. He treats dominion, Fortune, and political authority as essential parts of his Dao path, not merely worldly rewards. His resentment toward the Witch Clan ultimately becomes so deeply rooted that even enormous Merit cannot help him sever his Obsession Corpse. 214

Unlike Taiyi’s more openly fiery temperament, Di Jun is patient and calculating. He repeatedly restrains his brother from reckless action, abandons plans that would create dangerous Karma, and favors long-term accumulation of territory, resources, formations, and loyal subordinates over immediate revenge. 137 156 263

His pragmatism does not diminish his loyalty. When Taiyi proposes sacrificing himself during their encirclement, Di Jun refuses to flee alone and insists that they either escape together or die together. 230

Di Jun can also be ruthless toward those he considers obstacles. He demands binding submission from Taiwei, then attempts to seize the Star God’s origin and authority and imprison him for torment after Taiwei refuses. 315 316

Story Role / Major Arcs

Conflict with the Witch Clan

The Twelve Ancestral Witches invaded the Sun Star after advancing to the Primordial Golden Immortal realm. Although Di Jun and Taiyi used their authority as Sun Star masters, the brothers were forced to flee after prolonged fighting. 124 125

Once Di Jun left the Sun Star and lost its Primordial Origin support, Jiufeng ambushed him with Yin-Yang Annihilation Fiendish Force. The attack shattered the River Chart and Luo Book’s defenses and gravely damaged his body, Primordial Spirit, and Innate Imperishable True Spirit. Taiyi burned his own Primordial Origin and used the Chaos Bell to save them both. 128

During a later pursuit, Di Jun and Taiyi sacrificed their Benevolent Corpse Dao Bodies, burning their origins, Dao Fruits, and True Spirits to create an opening for escape. The decision saved their lives but inflicted catastrophic long-term losses. 143

Founding the Demon Clan

Unable to defeat the Witch Clan through personal power, Di Jun concluded that he needed a unified force. He chose the name Demon Clan because it could encompass nearly all beings of the Myriad Tribes, then used hidden avatars to gather followers and prepare the Primordial River-Luo Grand Formation. 158

After five hundred yuanhui of development, Di Jun publicly established the Demon Clan before the Heavenly Dao. He became the Demon Emperor, Taiyi became the Eastern Emperor, and the resulting Merit and Fortune elevated both brothers to the Late-Stage Primordial Golden Immortal realm. 214

The breakthrough did not remove Di Jun’s hatred. He openly challenged the Witch Clan, declaring that the Demon Clan would attack Pangu Temple in ten thousand years. 220

“Witch Clan savages! Ten thousand years from now, I will personally lead the Demon Clan army to trample your temple and wash away our humiliation with your blood!” 220

Defeat, Survival, and Escape

The Demon Clan’s clash with the Witch Clan culminated in the Pangu True Body’s “Earth-Cleaving” strike. Di Jun and Taiyi burned their origins and sacrificed their Good and Evil Corpse Dao Bodies to empower the Eastern Emperor Bell, but the attack still shattered their bodies, Dao Fruits, True Spirits, Karma, and fate across space-time. 228

The Demon Clan’s Fortune Dharma Form sacrificed more than half of the clan’s Fortune to keep them alive. Before the Witches could finish them, Dijiang withdrew the Pangu True Body rather than expose the weakened Witches to Dongwang Gong’s waiting Ten Thousand Immortals Formation. 228

Di Jun then secretly spent Merit to heal himself and Taiyi, deceived the Ancestral Witches with apparently unstable treasures, and escaped through the Chaos Bell’s space-time power. 230

Rebuilding the Demon Clan

After hiding in the Demon Realm for several Epochs, Di Jun began rebuilding his strength and considering an alliance with Dongwang Gong. He ultimately recognized that the Witch Clan had become an obstacle to his Dao Heart as well as his political ambitions. 249 250

His discovery of the Thirty-Three Heavens transformed the Demon Clan’s prospects. By refining the Heavenly Emperor Seal, Di Jun gained control of a concealed celestial domain rich in treasures and resources, which he viewed as the future foundation of the Heavenly Court. 254

He used the discovery to restore Demon Clan morale, resettle surviving members, recover scattered clansmen, recruit new races, and divide responsibilities with Taiyi. Di Jun returned to the Sun Star to heal and deduce his star-based formation, while Taiyi remained in the Thirty-Three Heavens to oversee expansion. 255

By Chapter 263, Di Jun had rejected Dongwang Gong’s proposed immediate assault on the Witch Clan. Instead, he planned to spend ten to twenty Epochs conquering the Southern Continent, rebuilding his Three Corpse Dao Bodies, strengthening his formations, and preparing the Thirty-Three Heavens as a concealed fallback. 263

The Demon Clan subsequently consolidated its conquest of the Southern Continent through a hierarchy of territorial governors. Its Fortune recovered and surpassed its former level, while Di Jun completed the Zhou Tian Star Formation during a sixteen-Epoch retreat to the Sun Star. 266

Earth Court Conflict and Heavenly Dao Ceasefire

When the Earth Court moved against Dongwang Gong’s Immortal Court, Di Jun secretly withdrew Demon Clan forces from the Southern Continent and ordered them to plunder resources as they left. He and Dongwang Gong had never sworn a binding alliance, and Di Jun would not sacrifice his own faction to protect him. 271

Di Jun and Taiyi later intervened to rescue nearly half the Immortal Court experts besieged by Earth Court, including seven Primordial Golden Immortals, three Quasi-Sages, and more than four hundred Great Firmament Golden Immortals. Di Jun sacrificed his Benevolent and Evil Corpse Dao Bodies to cover their escape. 285

After further growth aided by Demon Clan Fortune, Di Jun and Taiyi reached the Eighth-Layer Primordial Golden Immortal realm. Di Jun then sought to perfect the Zhou Tian Star Formation by bringing the Boundless Starry Sky and the Star Gods’ origins and authority under Demon Clan control. His attempt to subdue Taiwei was interrupted by the Ancestral Witches’ assault. 295 315 316

The Pangu True Body’s axe strike shattered both the Primordial River-Luo Grand Formation and the Zhou Tian Star Formation, devastated the Demon Clan, and grievously struck Di Jun and Taiyi despite the Eastern Emperor Bell’s protection. Facing a further strike, Di Jun accepted that he might die, but remained unwilling to perish without inflicting losses on the Witches. 318 326

Yuan Yan intervened under a Heavenly Dao decree, neutralized the next strike, and separated the armies. Di Jun and Taiyi accepted the resulting ceasefire, under which the Demon Clan governs the heavens, the Earth Court governs the land, and neither side may initiate war for three thousand Epochs. Di Jun interpreted the intervention as evidence of Heaven’s support for the Demon Clan. 326
