Background

Lin Wu was originally a man from Earth who transmigrated to the Douluo Continent as a Soft Bone Rabbit. While fearing that he would eventually be hunted for a soul ring, he unexpectedly received the Love God's inheritance and began the Love God's Nine Trials. The inheritance allowed him to bind willing or weaker targets as contract beasts and share their fate, talent, destiny, and future gains 1.

He spent six years in the Star Dou Great Forest under the care of two powerful female soul-beast guardians. The inheritance gave him an exceptional foundation, allowing him to become a hundred-thousand-year soul beast before he took human form at age six 1.

Nuoding Academy

Lin Wu enters Nuoding Academy as a work-study student intending to find Tang San. His expectations collapse when he discovers Tang San is female and realizes that he is this world's male counterpart to Xiao Wu 1 2.

At Dorm Seven, Tang San first defeats Wang Sheng and claims the boss position. Lin Wu then defeats Tang San through superior close-quarters combat, becoming Dorm Seven's boss himself 3 4 5.

Training Tang San

Lin Wu prevents Yu Xiaogang from taking Tang San as a disciple and assumes control of her training. He rejects Yu Xiaogang's proposed control-oriented development for Blue Silver Grass, instead directing Tang San toward a life-force and durability-focused path 8 9 10.

He uses Whale Glue, physical conditioning, blacksmithing, meditation, and harsh drills to strengthen Tang San's body. This training prepares her to bear a thousand-year first soul ring 11 12 13.

Love God Contract

In the Soul Hunting Forest, Lin Wu guides Tang San through the absorption of a thousand-year Solitary Bamboo soul ring. He then uses Hypnotic Eye and the Love God Contract to make her his contract beast, gaining access to her destiny, talents, memories, and twin martial souls 13 15 16.

Tang Hao confronts Lin Wu over Tang San's devotion, but Tang San openly defends Lin Wu as her master. Tang Hao later subjects Lin Wu to repeated “special training,” which Lin Wu turns into an opportunity for rapid growth 17 18 19.

Shrek Academy Conflict

After reaching level 50, Lin Wu arrives at Shrek Academy with Tang San. He humiliates Dai Mubai, defeats Soul Emperor Li Yusong without releasing his martial soul or soul rings, and causes the enrollment crowd to flee 23 26 27 28.

When Zhao Wuji challenges him, Lin Wu uses Hypnotic Eye to incapacitate the Soul Sage, then severely beats him using his physical body, Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, and a concealed manifestation of the Clear Sky Hammer's force 30 31 32.
