Above the sky, a gigantic black face covering New York sneered.
There was no sound, but a wave of contemptuous mental energy crashed into everyone's minds.
The giant face collapsed. Black slime swirled wildly in the clouds.
A pure black meteorite, thirty meters in diameter, was ejected from the center of the vortex, tearing through the stratosphere and crashing into the ruins of Stark Tower.
The sonic boom cloud exploded in mid-air.
"Scatter!" Captain America roared.
Boom!
The meteorite struck the ground. Manhattan Island trembled violently. The shockwave ripped up three stories of ground and asphalt, spreading outwards in a ring. More than a dozen abandoned cars were shredded by the blast.
Amidst the thick smoke, the black viscous substance on the meteorite's surface peeled off like flower petals.
A humanoid creature stepped out of the deep pit.
He had no legs; his lower body was a tattered, grayish-white shroud. His upper body was covered with eerie patterns woven from black Symbiotes. He had an inverted skull face, and his chest bore no Omnitrix symbol, only a single, constantly rotating purple vertical eye.
Zs'Skayr (Zs; Skayr).
The true master of the "Ghostfreak" gene in the Ben10 universe, and the overlord of the Ectonurite.
"Azmuth's toy."
Zs'Skayr floated in mid-air, his purple monocular eye fixed on the watch on Jiang Li's left wrist. His voice was hoarse, like fingernails scratching a blackboard.
"Knull gave me a perfect body. Now, release my genes from that disgusting cage!"
Whoosh!
Zs'Skayr raised his hand. Five black spikes, a mixture of Symbiotes and shadow energy, burst from the ground, piercing straight for Jiang Li's heart.

A Vibranium Shield sliced across, severing the ground spikes.
"He's really ugly." Tony Stark fired his shoulder cannons.
Boom boom boom!
Six micro armor-piercing rounds, trailing flames, slammed into Zs'Skayr's chest.
There was no explosion. There was no fire.
The bullet pierced through Zs'Skayr's body, struck the building behind him, and shattered an entire glass curtain wall.
"Physical attack ineffective?" Tony frowned.
"Get out of the way, Iron Man!"
Thor soared into the sky, Stormbreaker raised high. A massive bolt of azure lightning, as thick as a bucket, crashed down from the heavens, striking Zs'Skayr squarely on the head.
Zs'Skayr did not dodge.
The purple vertical eye on his chest inverted, and his body instantly dissolved into a cloud of gray mist.
A violent bolt of lightning pierced through the gray mist and struck the ground, creating a scorched crater. The gray mist reformed after the lightning dissipated, Zs'Skayr was unharmed.
"Physical and energy immunity?" Captain America gripped his shield, cold sweat dripping down his back.
"It's no use. I am shadow. I am fear."
Zs'Skayr spread his arms. The black shroud behind him suddenly ripped open, and hundreds of Symbiotes with sharp teeth shot out like venomous snakes, engulfing the Avengers.
Swish!
A bluish-black afterimage streaked past.
Jiang Li's thoughts flashed, and [XLR8] entered the battlefield, grabbing Captain America and Tony by the back of their collars and instantly dragging them out of the tentacles' attack range.
The moment he landed, his afterimage vanished. Jiang Li transformed back into human form.
"Ordinary physics and energy cannot touch him."
Jiang Li flicked his wrist.
"Because he doesn't belong to this universe. He's a 'tenant' in my space."
Jiang Li forward, facing alone the Symbiotes dancing wildly in the sky.
"Zs'Skayr, do you think you can turn things around by hooking up with Knull?"
Jiang Li pressed down on the Omnitrix.
"Today I'll teach you a word: 'clean house'."

A green light shot into the sky.
Jiang Li disappeared. In his place appeared a one-eyed, gray-white ghost, also floating in mid-air.

"Stupid monkey!"
Seeing Jiang Li transform into his likeness, Zs'Skayr let out a piercing, maniacal laugh, "Using my genes to fight me in my domain? I can strip this body of its control at any time!"
Zs'Skayr swooped down, transforming into a black whirlwind, and crashed directly into Jiang Li (Ghostfreak)'s body.
He's going to possess someone's body, just like in the anime!
"Jiang Li!" Gwen was shocked.
In mid-air, Jiang Li's Ghostfreak form froze. Black Symbiotes slime began to spread across his grayish-white skin.
"Mine! This body, this watch, they're all mine!" Zs'Skayr's maniacal laughter emanated from Jiang Li's body.

A blinding white-green light suddenly erupted from Jiang Li's (Ghostfreak) body without warning.
"No! What is this power?! Stop!" Zs'Skayr's screams instantly turned shrill as the black Symbiotes slime was frantically burned and peeled off by this light.
The light dimmed.
The ordinary gray-white Ghostfreak disappeared.
Instead, a terrifying being appeared, as if death itself had descended.
He was over three meters tall, draped in a dark matter Cloak that seemed to absorb light like Abyss abyss. Without that grayish-white outer skin, his true form was a burning, ghostly blue flame of Soul Stone. The Omnitrix symbol on his chest had turned dark gold, and beneath his hood, a scarlet vertical eye emanated an aura of deathly stillness.
Ultimate Ghostfreak!
The air temperature plummeted. The water on the ground instantly froze into black ice.
"What... what did you do to my genes?!"
Zs'Skayr was forcibly ejected from Jiang Li's body. Looking at this "ultimate form" that was purer, darker, and several levels higher than himself, he instinctively shuddered from the depths of his Soul Stone.
"I made a small Upgrade."
The Ultimate Ghostfreak extended its right hand. There was no palm, only five sharp bone claws made of ghostly blue Soul Stone flames.

Jiang Li raised his bone claw and made a grasping motion in the air.

Jiang Li sneered and thrust his bone claw forward.

Zs'Skayr let out an unprecedented scream. His ethereal form was like a thin sheet of paper before the Ultimate Ghostfreak. This was because the Ultimate Ghostfreak wasn't attacking the physical entity at all, but rather the core of the Soul Stone and genes!

Jiang Li twisted his wrist, and his bone claws slammed into Zs'Skayr's body!
