Eternal Night Descends

The Plumbers ' assault ship bursts out of the Quantum Tunnel.

Inside the bridge, alarms blared.

Jiang Li stood by the porthole. At the end of his line of sight, there was no blue Earth, only a dead star covered in black slime. The sun was completely obscured by a layer of writhing black matter.

The stars went out. Eternal night descended.

"Break through the atmosphere!" Jiang Li ordered.

The assault ship's engines roared, tearing through the black Symbiotes clouds.

The ruins of Stark Tower, New York.

Searchlights flashed. Gunfire was deafening.

Hundreds of black Symbiotes monsters, resembling hunting dogs, surged towards the Avengers' last line of defense like a tidal wave.

"Friday, energy allocation to chest cluster cannons!"

Tony Stark's armor was tattered, and his palm cannon pierced through two monsters. But the black slime instantly reformed and continued to pounce.

"Physical attacks are ineffective! They can heal themselves!"

Captain America hurled his Vibranium Shield. The shield severed the lumbar vertebrae of three monsters, but was then tightly bound by the black tentacles of a fourth monster and flung into the air.

"Lightning strike!"

Thor descended from the sky, his Stormbreaker slamming into the ground. Lightning exploded, scorching a patch of Symbiotes. But more monsters, stepping over the charred corpses of their companions, surged forward relentlessly.

The defense line is on the verge of collapse.

High in the sky, the clouds are torn apart.

Roar--!

A Symbiote Dragons (Grendel), hundreds of meters long, locked onto the falling Plumbers assault ship. The dragon flapped its wings, opened its blood-red maw, and bit towards the warship's engine.

The hatch popped open.

Jiang Li wasn't wearing a spacesuit; he jumped directly out of the hatch. The wind tore at his trench coat.

Facing the charging Symbiote Dragons, Jiang Li's thoughts flashed.

Omnitrix dark gold scale rotation.

No basic morphological transition is needed; the ultimate gene is extracted directly!

Swish!

A blinding white-green light exploded thousands of meters in the air.

In the light, a colossal creature, fifteen meters tall, covered in dark green heavy armor and with metal bone spikes on its back, crashed to the ground.

[Ultimate Humungousaur]!

Bang!

Jiang Li's feet landed precisely on the Symbiote Dragons's head. The terrifying kinetic energy shattered the dragon's skull.

The dragon howled and plummeted straight down, carrying Jiang Li with it.

"Fire!"

Jiang Li raised his arms. The armor on his forearms flipped over, revealing a six-cell bone spike missile launcher.

Boom boom boom boom boom!

Close-range full-scale missile launch.

High-explosive fragments and flames exploded wildly at the dragon's neck. The dragon's massive body was blasted in two mid-air.

Jiang Li stepped on the remains of the giant dragon, as if he were a meteorite falling to the ground.

Boom!

The plaza in front of Stark Tower was cratered fifty meters in diameter by the impact. The shockwave overturned all the Symbiote Hounds in the vicinity.

The smoke and dust had not yet cleared.

The Ultimate Humungousaur stood up and shook off the rubble from its shoulders.

"Big guy, you're late!" Tony stared at the final form that had once belonged to Albedo, first in shock, then overjoyed. "You stole that fake watch?"

"It just swallowed its code."

Jiang Li's voice was like thunder, shaking the air.

Hundreds upon hundreds of Symbiote Hounds rose to their feet. They showed no fear; their black, slimy threads formed a new encirclement as they pounced on the ultimate Tyrannosaurus Rex at the bottom of the pit.

"There are too many!" Captain America shouted.

"No matter how many grunts there are, they're still just weeds."

Jiang Li made no move.

Master Control, seamless cutting!

Swish!

The enormous Tyrannosaurus Rex vanished instantly.

A mechanical alien covered in blue metallic discs floated in mid-air.

[Ultimate Echo Echo]!

Jiang Li waved his hands.

Whoosh whoosh!

Hundreds of metal discs flew out of his body, scattering like a swarm of bees and hovering in every corner of the plaza. A disc was stuck to the ear of every Symbiotes monster.

"Symbiotes sound waves and flames."

Jiang Li clasped his hands together in prayer.

"Sonic Death Formation. Maximum Power."

Buzz----!!!

Hundreds of discs were activated simultaneously. Visible blue high-frequency sound waves formed an ultrasonic killing field with absolutely no blind spots.

"Hiss!!!"

A piercing scream tore through the night sky.

This is a form of restraint at the genetic level. The moment all the Symbiote Hounds come into contact with the high-frequency sound waves, their black mucus boils and disintegrates violently. They don't even have time to recombine before being reduced to puddles of lifeless black ash by the vibrations of the sound waves.

Five seconds.

The square was cleared.

The ground was covered in black ash.

The Avengers were dumbfounded. The monster horde they had fought for hours was wiped out in a single move by Jiang Li.

Swish.

Jiang Li transformed back into human form and landed on the ground. Gwen also shot out Silk and landed smoothly next to Jiang Li from the assault ship.

"Well done, hacker." Thor walked over, tomahawk in hand. "But I must remind you, this is just the tip of the iceberg."

Jiang Li looked up.

There was no sun, only endless darkness.

The black, slimy substance writhed wildly in the stratosphere, like living creatures. Occasionally, lightning would flash, revealing thousands upon thousands of Symbiote Dragons lurking in the clouds.

The Earth has become a closed cocoon.

"What happened?" Jiang Li looked at Tony. "Where did this thing come from?"

"Outer space." Tony brought up the projection on his suit. "A few hours ago, dark spots suddenly appeared on the sun. Then, these dark substances engulfed the Earth like a tsunami. The last images transmitted back by the satellites showed..."

Projection magnification.

In space, not far from Earth.

A man sat on a black throne. He had long, pale hair, wore black armor made of Symbiotes, and held a giant, jet-black sword in his hand.

That's a sword that can cut through even light.

"Knull." Jiang Li squinted and uttered the name.

"You know him?" Doctor Strange hovered and landed, the Time Stone on his chest emitting a faint glow, resisting the encroachment of darkness.

"The God of Symbiotes. The Ruler of the Abyss."

Jiang Li sneered.

"He wants to pull the universe back to a primitive era without light."

Boom!

As if in response to Jiang Li's words, the black slime in the sky suddenly bulged downwards, forming a gigantic face that covered the entire city of New York.

Knull's projection.

Those scarlet eyes pierced the darkness, fixedly staring at the Omnitrix on Jiang Li's left wrist.

"Variable."

An ancient, hoarse sound, like the friction of metal, resounded in everyone's minds.

"I smell... a scent that doesn't belong to this universe."

"Shoulder your core. I will grant Earth... a painless death."

An immense mental pressure descended.

Jiang Li stood still, his back straight, like a javelin piercing the darkness.

He raised his left hand, and the Omnitrix shone with a blinding green light in the endless darkness.

"Want my watch?"

Jiang Li looked up and stared directly at the giant face in the sky.

"Get down here and get it."
