The Primordial Wilderness changed with each passing day. Since Kunpeng had created Demon Script and left behind methods of inheritance, countless Demon Cultivators had risen in succession. After three thousand years of development, another three hundred and sixty-five great demons of the Demon Race had emerged. These great demons were no ordinary beings. Though their cultivation could not compare to that of the Ten Great Demon Gods, each possessed the realm of a Golden Immortal, ruling over a region of heaven and earth and living in carefree splendor.

As the Demon Race developed, they inevitably encountered the shamans beneath Mount Buzhou.

The two races seemed born enemies. Whenever they met, it was either your death or mine. Though the million shamans were not many, their cultivation was exceptionally formidable. The Demon Race was still in its early stages of development, and when they clashed with the shamans, they suffered more defeats than victories.

Yet although the shamans numbered a million, compared to the entire Primordial Wilderness, they were but a grain of millet in the vast sea. They could not stir up the slightest wave or seize much territory. For a time, though minor frictions arose between the two races, they did not harm the overall situation.

As time passed, the Primordial Wilderness gradually regained its former vitality and became lively once more.

The great powers who had only just taken form also left their mountains and abodes one after another, traveling throughout the Primordial Wilderness. Gradually, they gained some renown.

Among the famous was Redcloud Ancestor, formed from the first innate crimson cloud. From the moment he took form, he possessed the cultivation of a Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal. Redcloud Ancestor was truly extraordinary. He had once occupied a Saint's seat within Purple Cloud Palace and was renowned as the great good fellow of the Primordial Wilderness.

There was also a great immortal named Zhen Yuanzi, formed from Rejuvenation Grass—also known as the Ginseng Fruit Tree—one of the ten great innate spiritual roots. Like Mu Jizi, he was a spirit of innate vegetation. At birth, he possessed the Earth Book Treasure Mirror, a top-grade innate spiritual treasure among the Three Talents Treasures. His cultivation, too, had reached the realm of a Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal.

The three Daoists were the Three Pure Ones: Grand Pure Moral Heavenly Venerable, Laozi Li Er; Primordial Heavenly Venerable; and Numinous Treasure Heavenly Venerable, the Heaven-Connecting Cult Master. These three Daoists were even more extraordinary. They had been formed from the three portions of Pangu's Primordial Spirit, fused with innate pure qi. They possessed boundless merit from the creation of heaven and earth, and would become Saints in later ages, the patriarchs of Daoism. The Three Pure Ones had been at the peak of the Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal realm from birth. Laozi Li Er, moreover, possessed the Xuanhuang Pagoda, a postnatal merit defensive supreme treasure condensed from the mysterious yellow qi of creation. This pagoda had nine levels; once suspended above one's head, one became invincible. It was truly a fine treasure.

There were also two True Persons. One was the Eastern Azure Emperor, formed from the first stream of yang qi after creation, and a Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal from birth. The other was Queen Mother of the West, formed from the first stream of yin qi after creation, likewise possessing the realm of a Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal at birth. Both were extraordinary. After Hongjun the Dao Ancestor's first sermon, they were appointed to govern the male and female immortals of heaven and earth. Drawn together by yin and yang, they became Dao companions. Together, they could claim a place among Zenith Heaven Golden Immortals.

There were two more: Zhunti and Jieyin. One was formed from Subhuti, a spirit of innate vegetation, while the other was formed from the metal-geng qi of heaven and earth. Both possessed the cultivation of Zenith Heaven Golden Immortals. Like Mu Jizi and Kunpeng, they traveled as companions. They would become the Western Realm's leaders in later ages and take their places among the Saints, truly extraordinary beings. At birth, Zhunti refined his original body into a treasure, the Seven-Treasure Wondrous Tree. Jieyin was born with a first-rate innate spiritual treasure, the Guiding Divine Banner.

There were another two ancestors. One was Styx Ancestor, formed from a placenta within the Nine Nether Blood Sea. Styx Ancestor truly possessed immense fortune; at birth, he held three top-grade innate spiritual treasures: Yuantu, Avici, and the Twelfth-Grade Karma Fire Red Lotus. His cultivation had also reached the realm of a Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal. The other was Burning Lamp Ancestor, formed from an innate spiritual coffin. At birth, he possessed the Coffin Lantern, one of the Four Symbols spiritual treasures and a first-rate innate spiritual treasure. His own cultivation was likewise at the Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal realm. In later ages, he would become Burning Lamp Ancient Buddha, foremost of Buddhism's Seven Ancient Buddhas, also known as Dingguang Buddha.

There were also two immortal maidens, Xihe and Yuehua. Both were formed from the essence of moonlight and possessed great divine abilities, with cultivation at the Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal realm. Xihe would later become the wife of Dijun, emperor of the Demon Race, and after taking charge of the Heavenly Court, she would govern the harem.

Then there were Nuwa and Fuxi, great sages of the Demon Race. One would become one of the Saints of later ages, while the other would become one of humanity's Three Sovereigns. Both possessed immense divine abilities.

There were also the two Golden Crows born upon the sun, Dijun and Taiyi, as well as the Twelve Ancestral Shamans formed from Pangu's essence blood. Naturally, there was no need to say more of these figures.

Thus, great powers gathered throughout the Primordial Wilderness, making it truly bustling beyond compare.

One morning, warm winds danced, and strands of golden sunlight spilled across the entire Primordial Wilderness. The sunlight shone upon the morning dew, adding several shades of vitality to the lively land.

In the distance, two figures rode auspicious clouds through the air at leisure. Looking closer, were they not Mu Jizi and Kunpeng? The two chatted casually, carrying an air of transcendence beyond the mortal world.

"Brother, on this journey through the Primordial Wilderness, whether scenery or treasures, nothing compares to what we found when we first traveled the land!"

Kunpeng lowered his cloud and casually reached out, seizing a piece of innate vegetation essence that radiated a faint spiritual aura. As he weighed the vegetation essence in his hand, he curled his lips in disdain.

"Getting an advantage and still acting spoiled!" Mu Jizi could not help shaking his head. Then, with a single step, he came to Kunpeng's side and said, "The Primordial Wilderness is no longer as it was at the beginning of creation. First, countless innate objects took form. Then the demons created by Devil Ancestor Luohu ravaged the Primordial Wilderness for hundreds of years. After that, many great powers like us gathered innate objects, and finally, countless trees and spirit monsters that took postnatal form gathered them to refine magical treasures. This caused the extinction of innate objects!"

At this, Mu Jizi glanced at the smug Kunpeng, his expression turning somewhat unpleasant. Then he laughed and cursed, "How long has it been since we left the island? Worthy younger brother, you have already gained so much, yet you are still unsatisfied. Truly, you are no son of man!"

After finishing their sparring, Mu Jizi and Kunpeng left the North Sea and came to the Primordial Wilderness. Seeing that the land was no longer covered in innate objects as it had been at the beginning of creation, they could not help feeling a little wistful. Then their childish spirits rose, and in a moment of playfulness, they made a wager: whoever found the most innate objects would win.

Whether Mu Jizi's luck was simply too poor, Kunpeng's luck too good, or both, Mu Jizi had not obtained a single innate object since the wager began.

Kunpeng, on the other hand, would occasionally pick up a piece of innate vegetation essence, then occasionally find a crystal of innate metal-geng qi...

Had that been all, Mu Jizi would not have scolded him. But Kunpeng was rather shameless. It was one thing to pick up innate objects, but he also kept making snide remarks as he did so. It was truly infuriating!

At this moment, Kunpeng nodded and actually smiled again. "Brother speaks rightly. Your foolish younger brother has been too greedy. I should be like Brother and pay no heed to these innate objects!"

Having said this, Kunpeng deliberately paused. When he saw Mu Jizi's face darken like an overcast sky about to pour rain, he thought of Mu Jizi's methods and could not help shuddering. He hurriedly added, "Brother, how about we call off this wager between us?"

After saying this, Kunpeng saw that Mu Jizi's expression had yet to improve. Gritting his teeth, he could only continue, "Does Brother not know that this younger brother's Great Peng body possesses not only the ability to devour all things, but also the art of seeking treasures? If Brother and I fought, this younger brother would be no match for Brother. But if it is merely a matter of searching for innate objects, with this younger brother's innate divine abilities, Brother is far from being this younger brother's match!"

After saying this, Kunpeng secretly glanced at Mu Jizi again. Seeing his expression gradually improve, Kunpeng could not help releasing a slight breath of relief inwardly.
