Parting (Part One)

"Well then, Pang Heng, since you can't leave the Eastern Sea for too long, your boss has thought of a way. I'll temporarily find you a place not far from the Eastern Sea, and I'll personally set up a grand array to protect you. You can cultivate there while I head into the Primordial Wilderness to gain experience. If you reach the Great Luo Realm first, go to the Primordial Continent and find me. "Mm. Your injuries haven't completely healed, and you've traveled such a long way. Rest well here for now. Your boss will set up the grand arrays." After saying this, Yuan Tian went outside to prepare the arrays. As for the materials needed for the formations, the Dragon Clan members they had encountered last time had provided them. Those Dragon Clan members were truly wealthy beyond measure. Every one of them had an innate Dharma treasure. Though their grades were not particularly high, they were innate Dharma treasures nonetheless. Besides the treasures, they also possessed quite a few refining materials. The materials Yuan Tian had used to refine the Golden Dragon Scissors had been scavenged from those Dragon Clan members.

Seeing the Dharma treasures and materials on those Dragon Clan members, Yuan Tian could not help wondering when he should rob the Dragon Clan. The Dragon Clan was simply too rich. Compared to them, Yuan Tian felt like an utter "pauper."

Of course, since the Phoenix Clan and Qilin Clan could stand alongside the Dragon Clan as the three great innate races of the Primordial Wilderness, their wealth could not be too shabby either. He could pay them a visit when he had the time. At this thought, a trace of a wicked smile appeared on Yuan Tian's face. If Pang Heng had seen it, he would certainly have known that someone was about to suffer misfortune. Every time that wicked smile appeared, someone always ended up unlucky. Of course, in the past, that unlucky person had always been Pang Heng himself. Yuan Tian planned to refine an array diagram—the Breath-Concealing Diagram—refining the Breath-Concealing Array into a diagram so that he could set up the Breath-Concealing Array easily in the future.

Though the Breath-Concealing Array was a "double-none" array, possessing neither offensive nor defensive power, it was not completely useless. At the very least, it was quite useful and practical right now.

Yuan Tian intended to use the Breath-Concealing Array to hide Pang Heng's aura. That way, even if the Dragon Clan later learned that their clansmen had died at Yuan Tian and Pang Heng's hands, the Breath-Concealing Array would come into play. Even if the Dragon Clan knew Pang Heng had killed their clansmen, without someone at the Quasi-Sage level to help calculate his whereabouts, they would not be able to find Pang Heng. Yuan Tian spent only nine years successfully refining the Breath-Concealing Array diagram. This was far less time than he had spent refining the Golden Dragon Scissors.

This time, Yuan Tian still planned to set up two formations. One was the Breath-Concealing Array, while the other was the Five Elements Reversal Grand Array. The Breath-Concealing Array possessed no offensive or defensive power, but the Five Elements Reversal Grand Array did. The Five Elements Reversal Grand Array focused on offense, with defense as support. The Breath-Concealing Array would be set outside, while the Five Elements Reversal Grand Array would be set within.

Yuan Tian had already refined the Breath-Concealing Array diagram, so setting up that array was easy. As for the Five Elements Reversal Grand Array, it was somewhat more troublesome, but before Yuan Tian, a grandmaster of formations, it was only troublesome—not impossible to arrange.

Overall, Yuan Tian did not spend much time setting up the two grand arrays. He believed that breaking the Breath-Concealing Array might be manageable, but to break the Five Elements Reversal Grand Array, one would at least need the strength of a peak Zenith Heaven Loose Immortal. But what Zenith Heaven Loose Immortal would have nothing better to do than come to this little mountain? Thus, these two formations could basically protect Pang Heng until he broke through to the Great Luo Realm.

After Yuan Tian finished setting up the formations, he flashed into the cave where Pang Heng was staying.
