Background

Little Golden Dragon began as Bai Fan's pig-like martial soul, Luo Sanpao. When Bai Fan successfully absorbed the thousand-year Golden Saint Python Soul Ring, Luo Sanpao became slimmer, gained a golden glow, and was renamed “Little Golden Dragon” by Bai Fan. Its first displayed attack, Golden Dragon Breath, devastated the surrounding trees and rocks 3.

During Bai Fan's early travels, it remained constantly at his side. It shared Bai Fan's enthusiasm for sugar cakes, accidentally consuming an entire vendor's stock and joining Bai Fan in fleeing Spirit City without paying the inflated bill 3. In battle, it protected Bai Fan even after his soul power was exhausted, releasing Holy Dragon Domain to eliminate their enemies 4.

At the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, Little Golden Dragon consumed numerous Immortal Herbs. The herbs accelerated its growth and broke restrictions in its dragon bloodline; it subsequently developed wings, horns, scales, and a far more imposing dragon form 7 8. Bai Fan eventually discovered that their connection had changed: they remained mentally linked, but could cultivate independently and no longer shared a single fate 8.

As Bai Fan built the Republic Empire, Little Golden Dragon served as a mount, battlefield weapon, and trusted companion. It transported troops, subdued powerful dragon-type Soul Beasts, and fought alongside Republic Empire forces during their campaigns 20 24 32.

During the battle at Spirit Hall, Bai Fan entrusted the unconscious Bibi Dong to Little Golden Dragon and ordered it to flee. It initially obeyed, but returned with Bibi Dong rather than abandon Bai Fan to Qian Daoliu and Golden Crocodile 34 36. After Bai Fan activated Five Elements Return as One and destroyed Spirit City, Little Golden Dragon burned its own bloodline and self-destructed, killing the weakened Qian Daoliu and Golden Crocodile 37.

Following the simulation, the system fully revived Little Golden Dragon. It became Bai Fan's only companion as he wandered the Star Dou Great Forest, and later drove away the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger with the pressure of a hundred-thousand-year Soul Beast 37 38.

Appearance

Little Golden Dragon initially retained Luo Sanpao's round, pig-like shape, though its body became slimmer and was covered in golden light after its transformation 3. Its later evolution gave it the appearance of a true dragon 8.

Little Golden Dragon is affectionate, simple-hearted, and deeply attached to Bai Fan. It communicates largely through coos, physical gestures, and their mental connection; when Bai Fan confides his feelings about Bibi Dong, it listens silently without judgment 3 9.

Its strongest trait is loyalty. It repeatedly protects Bai Fan at personal risk, refuses to abandon him when ordered to do so, returns to Spirit Hall despite knowing it may die, and ultimately chooses self-destruction rather than leave Bai Fan behind 4 34 36 37.
