Raccoon City Outbreak

Li Zu finds Claire surrounded by more than twenty zombies after her gun runs dry. He rescues her with precise headshots in near-total darkness, gives her a weapon, and travels with her toward the police station. 206

At a convenience store, the pair encounters a Licker. Li Zu shoves Claire out of the path of its tongue and later uses a gas-station explosion to disrupt a pack of Lickers, allowing them to escape. 207

Protecting Sherry Birkin

Claire reunites with Leon but leaves the police station with Li Zu. Soon afterward, she finds Sherry fleeing the mutated William Birkin and promises that she and Li Zu will protect her. 208

As Sherry's father relentlessly pursues them, Claire supports Sherry while Li Zu attempts to use the child as bait to lure another monster into a fight. Despite her terror at the plan, Claire trusts Li Zu enough to follow it. 209

When Li Zu is separated from them, Claire follows his planned escape route and chooses to wait for him with Sherry rather than flee Raccoon City alone. 212

Nuclear Escape and Umbrella Pursuit

Claire, Sherry, and Alice escape Raccoon City in an Umbrella helicopter shortly before a nuclear missile destroys the city. Claire takes decisive action during the escape, shooting Umbrella personnel and commandeering the aircraft. 218

Afterward, Umbrella and government forces pursue Sherry because of the G-virus in her body. Claire recounts that both organizations experimented on Sherry, including cutting her open and extracting blood, forcing the pair to flee across the border. 223

The Li Zu Clone Crisis

Claire encounters multiple versions of Li Zu and becomes increasingly uncertain which one, if any, is the man she knew in Raccoon City. She is horrified when a hooded Li Zu turns another Li Zu into a plush toy and later realizes that Sherry has also been transformed into a toy. 232 235

She accompanies Li Zu and Alice back to the Hive, but flees in panic after watching Li Zu willingly allow William Birkin's flesh mass to swallow him. While escaping, she carries a Li Zu toy that later transforms back into a living Li Zu. 236 237 238

Departure

After the conflict surrounding Raccoon City and the Hive, Claire declines to remain with Li Zu and Harley Quinn. Believing she cannot protect Sherry in the apocalypse, she leaves to continue searching for Chris. 239 240
