The Ball (End)
Karkaroff left with Professor Snape, while Harry and Ron continued their leisurely stroll.
"What are those two talking about? Why is Karkaroff so terrified..."
Ron couldn't help but speak first, but just then the two walked up to another couple, and Harry saw the two of them hiding in a corner, secretly kissing.
"Get out of the way!" the boy shouted as soon as he spotted them.
"Oh, okay," Harry turned and left, then shouted "Professor Snape!" The two kissing were so startled that they bumped heads together in a panic, not even caring about the pain, and immediately ran away.
"How come you've become as wicked as Su Yu..."
"Oh, Ron, thank you for the compliment."
Su Yu danced with the girls until midnight, until the Weird Sisters stopped playing. Only then did he rub his aching back; it had been a truly tiring day. Besides Fa-jie and Ka-jie, there was Hermione, Ginny, Daphne, and even Isolde had danced with him for a long time. He hadn't had a moment to rest, dancing until now. Was this truly a gentle burden? Was this the karma a scumbag deserved?
Kurama was already asleep in Olivia's arms. She and Little Theodore had been dancing until they were exhausted, and seeing Daphne and the others still dancing enthusiastically, she took on the task of taking care of Kurama to sleep. After all, she was a little drunk, and in case she moved around in her sleep and fell, it was better for her to stay in someone's arms. Olivia gently patted Kurama in her arms, and Kurama would suddenly kick her legs from time to time, as if someone was chasing her.
The large bump on her head had already subsided thanks to Daphne's healing magic, but the culprit, Professor Graves, was scolded by Isolde. Professor Graves felt wronged; who would have thought that like master, like pet? He got like this after only half a cup of wine.
He's really getting old; even a little girl can scold him now, and he can't do anything about it. He got so angry that he went to drink with Headmaster Dumbledore by himself. Of course, whether he was just making an excuse or not, nobody knows.
As Su Yu led the girls out of the hall, they saw Harry and Ron looking relieved. Tonight's Christmas Ball wasn't a particularly pleasant memory for them; in fact, it was even a little terrifying to think about later. They both wanted to go home and sleep. What a memorable day...
Neville escorted Parvati all the way to the girls' dormitory entrance in the lounge, where the two reluctantly said goodbye, suggesting they had gotten along well that evening.
Meanwhile, in the Slytherin common room, the second ball had just begun. Everyone was gathered together, and with the loud music and unlimited beer and wine, Malfoy and his friends were like they were on drugs, partying non-stop. Even Hermione and Ginny didn't go back to the Gryffindor Common Room; they stayed with Su Yu and the others until dawn.
The next day, Kurama woke up early, looked at Su Yu and Fa-jie Ka-jie who were fast asleep, stretched, and went out of the dormitory to the Slytherin common room.
"What's going on? Why is there no one here? Am I still asleep?"
Kurama rubbed his eyes again, and when he realized that the Slytherin common room was indeed empty, he panicked. They had all vanished!
Nine-Tailed Fox rushed into Daphne's bedroom in a panic. He was relieved to see her lying on the bed with Hermione and Ginny. He then jumped onto the bed, put his paws under their noses to make sure they were still breathing, and then returned to the common room.
"I'm so hungry... Is anyone there? I'm starving..."
I played with Kurama alone in the common room all morning, and was so hungry that I lay on the sofa yelling. Not a single one of them woke up for the entire morning. If I didn't know they were alright, I would have thought the whole Slytherin had been wiped out.
Having been stuck with an unreliable owner, what could she do? She could only come to the hall alone and sneak over to Cho Chang for a meal.
"Are they still asleep?" Cho Chang asked, having ordered Kurama her favorite cheesecake.
"Don't even mention it, they're all dead, and they almost starved me to death..."
Cho Chang's lips twitched. She was so angry with Kurama. She quickly tried to soothe her and Olivia kept comforting the poor little thing.
After having eaten and drunk her fill, Kurama followed Cho Chang and the others to the Ravenclaw common room. She had no intention of returning to Slytherin; let them all sleep soundly, hmph!
When Su Yu woke up, it was almost dark. He rubbed his still swollen eyes, nudged Ka-jie and Fa-jie who were still fast asleep after drinking so much that morning, and then the group slowly got up and washed up.
When Su Yu and his group arrived at the lounge, Daphne and the others had just gotten up and were elegantly drinking coffee and reading books.
"I'll never stay up this late again. My dark circles haven't gone away yet. Ugh, I don't know how I'm going to fall asleep tonight..."
Hermione complained to Ginny about her dark circles. Having spent the night in the Slytherin common room instead of Gryffindor, the two were already used to it. After all, Yousu Yu; who would dare gossip? Even Headmaster Dumbledore hadn't said anything, so who would dare to spread rumors? Did they really think those Slytherin lunatics wouldn't dare to eat people?
"Have you heard? Professor Snape caught a lot of couples sneaking around last night! When I went to the entrance of the Great Hall this afternoon, I found that Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff had almost run out of points!"
Malfoy sneaked into the lounge and came over to share what he had just seen outside.
"No, you woke up so early? Aren't you sleepy?"
Su Yu yawned and sat down next to Ginny, casually taking a sip of her milk, which made Ginny blush.
"It's all because of those two gluttons, Goyle and Crabbe. I didn't go to sleep until 7 a. m. this morning, and just after 2 p. m., they were both complaining of being hungry, so I took them to eat with me. That's how I saw them."
"Oh, then why didn't Gryffindor get any points deducted?"
Pansy also came over and brought a plate of cookies for Su Yu and the others to have a little something to eat.
"Maybe they're just not good enough for dating?"
Su Yu took a bite of the cookie. "It tastes great, thank you, Pansy."
"Shouldn't you be focusing on the rice buckets? There are only two rice buckets here, one is missing..."
"Oh right, who's missing? No, where did my huge Kurama go?"
Half-asleep, Su Yu finally realized that his "big son" was gone. The group immediately started searching frantically, scouring the entire Slytherin common room, but they couldn't find her.
Su Yu led the group to the hall and asked several people before learning that he had seen Kurama return to the dormitory with Cho Chang at noon. Only then did he feel relieved and sat in the hall to wait for dinner.
As long as she's not lost, that's fine. As for her being with Cho Chang, she's perfectly safe, okay? Why worry so much? Let her go have fun.
