Power Progression

Background / History

The Human Clan initially lived in scattered Eastern Sea Coast tribes. Their communities relied on hunting, simple food preparation, and animal-skin clothing; despite being nourished by spiritual qi, ordinary humans remained mortal and generations continued to die of age, illness, and hunting accidents. 23 29

After returning to a tribe that had once sheltered him, Chen Yang found that only Sui Qing remained from his former acquaintances. The tribe had prospered under intermittent Jie Sect protection, but its members still suffered from limited aptitude and mixed bloodlines. 23

Chen Yang began reforming the Human Clan through its children. Using the Human Pool, he purified bloodlines and improved aptitude and wisdom, then chose literacy rather than cultivation as the foundation of long-term change. 23

Over ten thousand years, Chen Yang and three thousand students traveled among Eastern Sea Coast tribes. They spread Human Clan Script, standardized surnames, record-keeping, and the production of brush, ink, paper, and inkstones; disciples remained behind as teachers to continue the work. 24

The Human Clan collectively accepted the script and honored Chen Yang as the Human Teacher. This recognition bound faith and fortune to him while giving the race a shared written identity and a means to preserve knowledge across generations. 24 25

The race’s rise accelerated after it joined the Wu Tribe against the Demon Race. Human armies endured immense losses but earned military confidence, dignity, and recognition as a great race rather than a people treated as blood food or prey. 49 59

Following the war, the Human Clan expanded outside the Eastern Sea Coast, absorbed great quantities of resources and Fortune, and gradually transformed its tribes into cities. This growth also produced divisions of class, bloodline, wealth, and local political power. 60 70 87

Pingxin later created the Origin People Tribe, a new branch of humanity whose aptitude and physical foundation surpassed those of Nuwa’s original humans. Chen Yang and the Three Ancestors approved the gradual intermarriage of Origin People and existing humans, making mixed descendants the predominant Human Clan population. 65 67 84

The Human Clan’s subsequent civil war exposed the oppression of Human-Demon Hybrids, who had been treated as an impoverished underclass because demon blood hindered Martial Dao cultivation and provoked prejudice. Chen Yang ended the conflict by recognizing them as Human Clan members, declaring that identity depends on whether one’s heart and allegiance are human rather than on bloodline alone. 70 83

Under Hongyun, Chiyou, and Xuanyuan, the Human Clan developed from a loose collection of tribes into a unified civilization of cities, laws, commerce, twelve vast territories, and enduring military institutions. 84 96 97 105

Society and Culture

Human Clan Script

Human Clan Script was simplified from Dao Script and adapted to Human Clan concepts. Its acceptance depended on Chen Yang’s status as a pure Human Clan member, his recognized connection to the Three Teachings, and his sustained work among the tribes. 23 25

• Literacy was first taught through the Thousand Character Classic, Hundred Family Surnames, and Standards for Being a Good Student and Child. 24
• The script standardized previously inconsistent tribal naming practices and established surnames across the Human Clan. 24

Baptism and Bloodline Purification

Baptism became a widespread Human Clan custom after Chen Yang introduced diluted Human Pool water to tribal children. 29

• The water removes impurities and many mixed bloodlines while improving wisdom and cultivation aptitude. 23 29

Human Marriage and Equality

Hongyun’s marriage established Human Marriage as the final component of the Three Marriages of Heaven, Earth, and Humanity. The ceremony created a formal marriage order, linked spouses through Heaven-and-Earth-recognized rites, and helped accelerate Human Clan reproduction. 69 70

• The rite requires the couple to bow to Heaven and Earth, Nuwa and Pingxin as humanity’s birth mothers, and finally to one another. 70

Totem Cultivation Method

Heaven-Mending Scripture

The Heaven-Mending Scripture is a secret art created by Chen Yang to address the Human Clan’s incomplete skeletal foundation. 105

• The scripture is resource-intensive and painful, preventing its universal use; it is reserved for blessed lands and exceptional prodigies. 105

Chen Yang created the Faith System for Human Clan heroic spirits who refused reincarnation or lacked suitable bodies for rebirth. 133

• Heroic spirits reside in Halls of Heroes and use collective Human Clan worship to form bodies of faith, Divine Kingdoms, Godheads, and divine cultivation. 133

Wu–Demon War

The Human Clan forms an alliance with the Wu Tribe, accepting that vast numbers of human soldiers may die. Human forces enter the war under Wu commanders, seeking revenge for historical massacres and recognition as a people that can no longer be humiliated. 47 48

During the war, Human Clan martial artists from Firecloud Cave intercept Demon Gods, while Suiren Clan confronts a Demon Saint. Chen Yang’s destruction of a Demon Emperor establishes him as the race’s central protector. 49

Bloodline Transformation and Civil War

Pingxin’s creation of the Origin People Tribe gives Chen Yang a means to raise Human Clan aptitude through integration and reincarnation. However, entrenched discrimination against Human-Demon Hybrids contributes to a vast internal rebellion supported by the Demon Race. 65 67 70

Chen Yang ends the war by recognizing that Human-Demon Hybrids remain Human Clan if their allegiance lies with humanity. Their sentencing to fight Outworld Demons balances punishment for rebellion with recognition, while the equality decree reunifies the race. 83

Era of the Human Emperors

Hongyun, Chiyou, and Xuanyuan embody successive stages of Human Clan development: Hongyun establishes equality, law, cities, commerce, and marriage; Chiyou unifies the cities and forges military strength through conquest; Xuanyuan restores order, population, and governance. 84 96 97 105

Construction of the Human Realm

Faced with Demon Cultivator and Zombie Clan invasions, Chen Yang transforms the Human Clan’s twelve territories into the Primordial World Formation. Human warriors who died defending the race become mountain gods, land deities, and heroic spirits, while Human Dao is born to govern and maintain the defensive system. 131 133 134

The later completion of the Human Clan Great Wall turns the Human Realm into a protected homeland that suppresses Demon Cultivators and enables humanity to reclaim its territory through a massive counterattack. 150

Chen Yang creates the Heavenly People Tribe and opens the Void God Realm to all humanity.
