Background / History

Luxuan was born as the first strand of Innate Dao breath associated with Penglai Immortal Island. After countless epochs of cultivation within the island, he perfected his human form and awakened to find Yunxiao, Qiongxiao, and Bixiao entering Penglai through its innate restriction. At the same time, his Daoist sect master system activated, granting a hundredfold homologous return whenever a disciple experienced genuine growth. 1

Recognizing the Three Cloud Sisters’ exceptional foundations and future potential, Luxuan guided them at Enlightenment Cliff before offering to accept them as disciples. Once they formally entered his sect, he gave each a personalized cultivation scripture and a Supreme-grade Innate Spirit Treasure. He also resolved to protect them from the dangerous fate they would otherwise face. 2 3 4

Penglai’s existence was exposed when Luxuan’s advancement briefly pierced its restrictions. He subsequently rejected the Celestial Court’s attempt to register Penglai and repeatedly defeated its forces, eventually forcing Dongwang Gong to pay compensation and recognize Penglai’s autonomy. 5 7 15 16

After accepting Zhao Gongming as a registered disciple, Luxuan used the feedback from Zhao’s Great Luo breakthrough and Twenty-Four Heavens to unify his own Daos. He later destroyed Dongwang Gong and the Celestial Court after its final invasion of Penglai. 23 24 30 33

Following the conflict, Luxuan redirected the Celestial Court’s seized resources into Penglai’s spiritual veins, formations, cultivation grounds, and internal space. His long-term objective became the evolution of Penglai from an immortal island into a self-sustaining world. 35 36 37
