Background / History

As a young disciple of Serie, Frieren was captivated by flowers. Serie taught her Flower Field Creation Magic, but required her to practice it only after completing her daily cultivation. Frieren wished to preserve beautiful flowers and memories alongside her master. 142

The death of Frieren's senior disciple sister and her husband at the hands of a Demon Race member became a defining lesson. Serie instructed Frieren to become more cunning, and Frieren developed a combat style based on continuously suppressing her visible mana to one-tenth of its normal level, causing demons to underestimate her. 142
