Lin Yan’s Comfort and Their Relationship

After Flender’s discipline leaves her crying in the dormitory, Lin Yan reassures her, restores her stamina and mental energy, and reinforces her self-worth. Her favorability toward him rises from 70% to 99%, and she becomes openly affectionate. 7 8

Ning Rongrong later waits for Lin Yan at the academy gates, confesses under the moonlight, and asks him to accept her pursuit. She explains that the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School expects its heir to marry a powerful battle Soul Master, leading her to propose an unconventional relationship with Lin Yan instead. 11 12

Soul Fighting Arena Partnership

At the Soto Great Soul Fighting Arena, Ning Rongrong assists Lin Yan with his healing stall and uses her appraisal ability to acquire rare metals for his soul-tool production. Conflict with Dai Mubai

When Dai Mubai threatens Ning Rongrong, Lin Yan publicly identifies her as his girlfriend and intervenes. Captivity and Forced Wedding

While Lin Yan spends half a month refining immortal herbs and absorbing a spirit bone, Ning Rongrong sends desperate messages asking him to save her from a forced marriage to Tang San. Ning Fengzhi also captures Xiao Wu, Zhu Zhuqing, Ye Rou’er, and Ye Lingling, using the women as leverage to draw Lin Yan out. 103

On the wedding day, Rongrong is confined in her bedroom, dressed in an elaborate bridal gown, and physically weakened by her ordeal. She angrily rejects Tang San’s claim that the marriage serves the sect’s future. Believing Lin Yan may never return, she asks Xiao Wu to kill her rather than let the marriage proceed; Xiao Wu ultimately expresses a willingness to die with her. 104

Ning Fengzhi detects the resulting suicide attempt through a mark he planted on Rongrong and prevents it. He then uses Lin Yan’s safety as leverage and threatens to disown her unless she completes the ceremony. Rongrong walks toward Tang San in emotional numbness but reveals that Lin Yan has killed Tang Hao. Tang San responds by strangling her before the assembled guests, forcing the elders to intervene. 105

Rescue Battle and Rejection by Her Family

Lin Yan descends onto the wedding platform, crushes Tang San beneath his foot, and reunites with Rongrong. He apologizes for arriving late and heals her weakened body. At his instruction, she summons the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda to boost his strength and speed while keeping the Dragon Talisman available for protection. 106

Her support contributes to Lin Yan’s initial advantage against Chen Xin while his puppet suppresses Gu Rong. Tang Xiao then breaks off the proposed marriage alliance but attacks Lin Yan to avenge Tang Hao. As Lin Yan’s defenses and restoration abilities are exhausted, Rongrong attempts to protect him with a Dragon Talisman fireball. Tang Xiao dispels the attack and threatens her. She then threatens to cripple her own martial soul if Chen Xin kills Lin Yan, but Chen Xin condemns her and Ning Fengzhi publicly disowns her.
