Arc 36The Crone World Bargain

Li Qinwu explored a Crone World, absorbed its possession monsters, and looted an Eldar temple before trading with a Craftworld Farseer. The arc ended with the Farseer agreeing to exchange a Webway Route Map for 100,000 Spirit Crystals.

  • Li Qinwu sent the Bear Priest to teach Li Danü about her ability to understand Blue Whales, while the Order of the Sacred Rose arrived to investigate the Psychic Torch and Canoness Aseya accepted it as a miracle.
  • After a month of failed attempts to win over the Sisters of Battle, Li Qinwu left his advisers behind on Agricultural World 496B and began exploring a newly revealed Crone World.
  • Li Qinwu resisted a Body-Snatching Monster with Scripture and psychic power, then hunted the creatures and absorbed their Eldar souls, increasing his mental strength.
  • Li Qinwu rescued Warlock Daal and Atasha from the monsters, agreed to help them in exchange for a Master Bonesinger Flute, and used Daal to lure more creatures as he searched for an Eldar temple.
  • Li Qinwu defeated the temple’s Wraith Constructs, recovered 124,630 Spirit Stones and other Eldar relics, and completed the valley’s exploration by moving Isha’s statue into the Vault.
  • Li Qinwu forced the Farseer to provide a Master Bonesinger Flute, then traded Spirit Stones for Isha’s Kiss, Solar Sails, and a Wraithbone Plant.
  • Li Qinwu demanded a Webway Route Map for 100,000 Spirit Crystals, and the Farseer agreed after her prophecies showed that opposing him would trigger a nuclear explosion.
Chapters 877–901 Vol. 9 Read

Ch. 877The Sisters' Visit

Li Qinwu discovered that Li Danü could communicate with and command animals, so he arranged for the Bear Priest to teach her. Meanwhile, the Sisters of Battle arrived at Agricultural World 496B to inspect its powerful Psychic Torch, leaving open whether it was a miracle or something heretical.

  • Li Danü told Li Qinwu she could understand the Blue Whales, and he decided to find her a teacher to develop her talent.
  • Li Qinwu sent the Bear Priest to teach Li Danü, who named her whale friends and pointed toward space when she mentioned Lele, a whale who was coming to visit her.
  • The Order of the Sacred Rose arrived at Agricultural World 496B aboard a heavily armed pilgrimage ship to investigate the Psychic Torch.
  • Canoness Aseya accepted Governor Zeppelin's invitation to inspect the Psychic Church but warned her sisters not to lower their guard.
  • A Sister of Battle suggested the Torch might be a miracle from His Majesty, and Canoness Aseya considered how it could bring scattered worlds into the Imperium.

Ch. 878Flirting

Canoness Preceptor Aseya and her Sisters of Battle confirmed that the Psychic Church’s Ever-Burning Lamp was a genuine miracle and took over its defense. A month later, Aseya confronted Sister Theresa about PDF soldiers bothering her Sisters, just as Theresa’s brother Joel asked Aseya out for a drink.

  • Canoness Preceptor Aseya arrived on Planet 496B and followed Sister Theresa to the Psychic Church after the Devout One introduced them.
  • Theresa explained the Church’s origins and led Aseya’s party into its inner sanctum, where the Sisters of Battle felt the Emperor’s presence and accepted the shrine as a miracle.
  • Aseya took charge of the Church’s defenses, and more Sisters of Battle arrived from the pilgrim ship to guard it.
  • A month later, Aseya told Theresa that she expected reinforcements and complained that PDF soldiers kept harassing her Sisters.
  • Joel approached Aseya with a rose and asked her out for a drink while Theresa avoided answering.

Ch. 879A hopeless bunch

Li Qinwu scolded his advisers for failing to court the Sisters of Battle and ordered them to keep trying. His advisers found ways to leave Parson behind, who realized he was the only one still in danger of being stranded on Planet 496b.

  • Li Qinwu confronted his advisers about their failure to win over any Sisters of Battle during the past month.
  • Rudosen, Little Knife, Parson, and Joel explained why their attempts had failed, while Joel revealed Lady Aseya had spent an evening teaching him Scripture.
  • Li Qinwu opened a Portal and left his advisers on Agricultural Planet 496b, warning that anyone who failed to land a Sister could not return to the warship.
  • Little Knife left to visit his wife and child, and Rudosen departed to meet his old PDF friends.
  • The Traffic Light Trio went to flirt with the Sisters, while Joel left to study Scripture with Lady Aseya, leaving Parson alone.

Ch. 880Search-Fight-Extract Instance, Crone World

Li Qinwu learned that an unknown warship had discovered the Vault and that a Warp Storm had revealed a nearby planet. The system identified the planet as a Crone World, and Li Qinwu prepared to explore it for Eldar treasures.

  • The Vault Overseer reported that an unidentified warship had scanned the Vault but had not approached or communicated.
  • The Vault Overseer told Li Qinwu that a Warp Storm had cleared the mist enough for the Vault to detect a rotating planet with four continents.
  • Li Qinwu received a system notification identifying the planet as a Crone World and listing four teleportation points.
  • Li Qinwu recognized the planet as an Eldar world and eagerly considered exploring it for ancient technology and treasures.

Ch. 881Valley Deployment

Li Qinwu prepared for his first deployment to the Crone World and arrived in its Valley, where he surveyed a ruined Eldar city and discovered a high-value supply point. The chapter left him looking out over immense planetary destruction and confronting the scale of dangers within the Warp.

  • Li Qinwu learned that Factory, Armory, and Hive City required more than 70% exploration of the previous map to unlock, then prepared weapons, supplies, and a small cart for the Valley.
  • Li Qinwu selected Crone World, Valley, and teleported to its deployment point, where the system reported dangerous Warp energy and Daemon presence.
  • Li Qinwu surveyed the ruined Eldar city and drove his cart partway up a slope before leaving it and climbing a tall building with Psychic Power.
  • Li Qinwu mapped the Valley from the building and spotted a huge disc-shaped structure that he identified as a high-value supply point.
  • Li Qinwu saw that immense claw marks had shattered the Eldar city-continents across thousands of kilometers and realized the Warp could produce planet-sized monsters.

Ch. 882Body-Snatching Monster

Li Qinwu encountered a body-snatching monster in the Warp and used the God-Emperor's Psychic Power to destroy it. The monster left behind a corrupted Spirit Stone, which revealed that it had been an Eldar soul twisted by isolation and Warp energy.

  • Li Qinwu drove toward a distant disc-shaped Eldar building, passing through decayed ruins and taking pictures of the architecture.
  • Li Qinwu spotted a purple, winged creature whose dance and music distracted him before it shrieked and entered his body.
  • Li Qinwu resisted the creature's attempt to control him by reciting the Scripture, then burned it away with the God-Emperor's Psychic Power.
  • Li Qinwu found a Spirit Stone among the bones and used the system to identify it as a corrupted stone containing a mutated Eldar soul.

Ch. 883Absorbing a Remnant Soul

Li Qinwu cleansed a Corrupted Spirit Stone, then used his God-Emperor's Psychic Power to destroy a Body-Snatching Monster that possessed him. Absorbing the remnant soul raised his mental power, and he drove toward another monster to repeat the process.

  • Li Qinwu purified the Corrupted Spirit Stone with the God-Emperor's Psychic Power and tossed it into Diced Pepper Fish Head's cargo bed.
  • Li Qinwu drank Holy Wine, recited scripture, and charged a Body-Snatching Monster, which struck him with a Psychic Shock and entered his body.
  • Li Qinwu's Psychic Power burned the Eldar remnant soul, and he forced it back inside when it tried to escape.
  • Li Qinwu absorbed the remnant soul and discovered that his mental power had increased from 190 to 200.
  • Li Qinwu spotted another Body-Snatching Monster, jumped into Diced Pepper Fish Head, and accelerated toward it.

Ch. 884Crash-Landing Mining Team

Warlock Daal tried to keep the dying Aeldari Warrior Atasha from surrendering to the Warp as they hid among the ruins of a Crone World. Daal recalled how their elite mining team had been devastated on landing, leaving the survivors surrounded by Body-Snatching Monsters.

  • Warlock Daal warned Atasha that giving in would contaminate her Spirit Stone and destroy her soul.
  • Atasha asked Daal whether the failure of their Spirit Stone mining mission meant their Craftworld had no future.
  • Daal looked toward dozens of Body-Snatching Monsters, former members of her mineral survey team, wandering outside.
  • Daal recalled that the team had come to a Crone World to find Spirit Stone veins so their Craftworld could grow its population.
  • Warp corruption overwhelmed the team despite their protective suits, and Daal tried to order the Shuttle to leave.
  • Body-Snatching Monsters possessed nearly half the team, including the pilot, and destroyed the Shuttle; more than seventy of the hundred Eldar died in the attack.

Ch. 885Chasing Down Body-Snatching Monsters

Warlock Daal and Atasha were the only survivors of their Aeldari exploration team after Body-Snatching Monsters and Warp corruption killed the others. As Atasha prepared to die, a golden man appeared and began absorbing the monsters into his body, leaving the two Aeldari stunned.

  • The surviving Aeldari fled the landing site, but more Body-Snatching Monsters possessed them as they ran, reducing the team to a handful.
  • The survivors hid in ruins, where Warp whispers drove several Aeldari mad and caused them to kill themselves.
  • Warlock Daal discarded her dead comrades' Spirit Stones to keep them from becoming more Body-Snatching Monsters, leaving only her and Atasha alive.
  • Atasha despaired of rescue and raised her pistol to kill herself while Daal struggled against the Warp's whispers.
  • A golden man ran past the alley, seized Body-Snatching Monsters against his chest, and absorbed them as the creatures scattered from him.

Ch. 886Encounter

Li Qinwu hunted down the Body-Snatching Monsters, collected their Corrupted Spirit Stones, and raised his mental strength to 240 while exploring the valley. When three fresh Aeldari Warriors ambushed him, two injured Eldar intervened and one used Psychic Control to save him.

  • Li Qinwu used Warp Vision and his psychic vortex to find and devour the Body-Snatching Monsters hiding in the ruins.
  • He purified the Spirit Stones he collected, raised the valley map's exploration progress to 30%, and saw his mental strength reach 240.
  • An Aeldari Warrior attacked Li Qinwu with a Power Scimitar, but Li Qinwu pinned the warrior down with Gravity Control.
  • Two more Aeldari Warriors attacked, and Li Qinwu restrained the second while the third nearly struck his face.
  • An injured Eldar mage used Psychic Control to slam the third Aeldari Warrior to the ground and save Li Qinwu.

Ch. 887The Bonesinger's Memory Fragments

Li Qinwu absorbed the Body-Snatching Monsters possessing three Aeldari Warriors and gained memory fragments that included a master Bonesinger’s craft. He agreed to help Warlock Daal and Atasha escape the Crone World in exchange for a Master Bonesinger Flute.

  • Warlock Daal asked Li Qinwu to work with her after the Body-Snatching Monsters attacked her group.
  • Li Qinwu used Gravity Control and Warp Vision to identify the three possessed Aeldari Warriors, then sucked the monsters from their bodies and swallowed them.
  • Warlock Daal and Atasha discussed following Li Qinwu because they needed a way to survive and return to their Craftworld.
  • Li Qinwu discovered the absorbed monsters had left him memory fragments, including complete knowledge of master-level Bonesinging.
  • Li Qinwu agreed to help the two Eldar refugees escape if they gave him a Master Bonesinger Flute.

Ch. 888Cooperation

Li Qinwu demanded a Master Bonesinger Flute from Warlock Daal in exchange for taking the Eldar somewhere safe, and Daal agreed when Atasha began succumbing to daemonic whispers. After sending Atasha and recovered loot to the Vault, Li Qinwu forced Daal to scout ahead while he searched for a way to contact her battleship.

  • Li Qinwu refused Warlock Daal's offer of a master staff and insisted on receiving a Master Bonesinger Flute.
  • Atasha collapsed under the Daemonic Whispers, and Li Qinwu offered to send her to safety if Daal cooperated.
  • Warlock Daal agreed to Li Qinwu's terms and asked him to send Atasha away first.
  • Li Qinwu sent Atasha and the three Eldar corpses into the Vault, then closed the Portal and kept Daal with him.
  • Li Qinwu ordered Warlock Daal to walk ahead and scout while he aimed his Double-Barreled Meltagun at her.

Ch. 889Spirit Stone Trade

Li Qinwu used Daal to lure Body-Snatching Monsters, devoured them to increase his mental power, and purified the Corrupted Spirit Stones they dropped. After refusing Daal’s offers of weapons and armor in exchange for the valuable Spirit Stones, he reached a massive, still-living Wraithbone structure.

  • Li Qinwu continued using Daal as bait for Body-Snatching Monsters, though their contribution to his mental power diminished and their memory fragments cluttered his thoughts.
  • Three Body-Snatching Monsters overwhelmed Daal, so Li Qinwu rushed over and sucked them out of her body, devouring them.
  • Li Qinwu purified the three Corrupted Spirit Stones the monsters dropped into ordinary Spirit Stones.
  • Daal offered Li Qinwu weapons and custom Wraithbone armor for the Spirit Stones, but he demanded means of production instead of finished goods and refused the trade.
  • Li Qinwu reached a colossal jade-white, living Wraithbone structure beneath his destination.

Ch. 890Soulstone Temple

Li Qinwu identified the structure on the Crone World as a Soulstone Temple and forced his way inside, leaving Daal stranded outside. As the temple’s Wraithbone sealed the hole and Body-Snatching Monsters approached, Daal hesitated to use her power to open another way in.

  • Li Qinwu recognized the building as an ancient Eldar facility for storing Spirit Stones, while Daal concealed its importance from him.
  • Li Qinwu failed to breach the Wraithbone with his Meltagun, then used Psychic Lightning to blast a crawl-sized hole in the temple wall.
  • Li Qinwu tricked Daal into thinking he could read her mind and threatened her when he heard her private insults.
  • Li Qinwu entered the temple and blocked Daal from following, while the hole healed shut.
  • Daal hesitated to open a new entrance as the singing of approaching Body-Snatching Monsters reached her.

Ch. 891Construct

Li Qinwu explored the Soulstone Temple, forced Daal to surrender her Psychic Amplifier staff, and continued searching for the Spirit Stones. Daal warned him that Eldar Constructs guarded the temple ahead, and Li Qinwu pressed on despite her warning.

  • Li Qinwu recorded the Temple’s murals as Daal fled inside while pursued by possession monsters.
  • Li Qinwu mocked Daal and threatened her with his meltagun until she handed over her staff.
  • Li Qinwu examined the staff’s power and decided to give it to Silent One.
  • Li Qinwu continued deeper into the temple to find the Spirit Stones and use them to negotiate with an Aeldari Battleship.
  • Daal warned Li Qinwu that Eldar Constructs guarded the way ahead, but he mocked her and kept going.

Ch. 892Battle Against the Constructs

Li Qinwu triggered the temple alarm and fought the ancient Wraith Constructs guarding the corridor, exploiting their age and damage to destroy several. As dozens more awakened, he armed himself with a Meltagun and Power Maul and charged into the horde.

  • Daal warned Li Qinwu that the Constructs would awaken if he entered their detection range, but he hurried toward the end of the corridor.
  • Li Qinwu triggered the alarm, and more than a hundred Constructs tore free from the walls as Daal fled.
  • Li Qinwu observed that the ancient Constructs were stiff and partly fused to the walls, then destroyed several with his Double-Barreled Meltagun and Logging Gun.
  • A Wraithguard fired its Nethercannon at Li Qinwu, who dodged the shots and returned fire until the Construct collapsed.
  • More Constructs awakened and crowded the corridor, so Li Qinwu took his Power Maul, urged the Logging Gun to fire, and charged them.

Ch. 893Crying Isha Statue

Li Qinwu fought through more than a hundred Wraith Constructs and broke into a chamber behind a massive door carved with the goddess Isha. Inside, he found a statue of the weeping goddess holding a dish filled with Spirit Stones.

  • Li Qinwu used his weapons and Eldar Nuclear Grenades to destroy the attacking Wraith Constructs.
  • Li Qinwu used gravity to disable a Wraith Construct’s cannons, then smashed it apart and finished the battle in under five minutes.
  • Daal returned to the battlefield and cried out at the destruction as Li Qinwu continued onward.
  • Li Qinwu found a giant door carved with Isha, failed to open it psychically, and blasted a hole through it with his Lightning Sword.
  • Li Qinwu entered a domed chamber and found a statue of Isha catching her tears in a dish filled with Spirit Stones.

Ch. 894A Bountiful Harvest

Li Qinwu and the Skitarii stripped the Soulstone Temple of its Spirit Stones and Wraith Constructs, while Daal watched in distress and considered cooperating with him. When the exploration progress stalled at 89%, Li Qinwu suspected the statue of Isha concealed the remaining treasure and ordered it moved.

  • Li Qinwu opened a Portal and ordered the Vault supervisor and more than three thousand Skitarii to take the Spirit Stones and valuable Xenos creations.
  • The Skitarii removed the Spirit Stones and hauled the shattered Constructs into the Vault while Daal watched helplessly.
  • Li Qinwu checked his system and found his mental power had reached 300 and the valley exploration progress had risen to 75%.
  • The Vault supervisor reported that the Skitarii had recovered twenty-five intact Wraith Constructs, forty Fragmentary Wraith Constructs, and 124,630 Spirit Stones.
  • Daal realized the Spirit Stones could double her Craftworld's population and considered approaching Li Qinwu to discuss cooperation.
  • Li Qinwu found the exploration progress stuck at 89%, then ordered the Vault supervisor to knock down Isha's statue and move it into the Vault.

Ch. 895Seer

Li Qinwu completed the extraction of Isha's statue and other spoils, then held Daal captive while demanding a Master Bonesinger Flute from the Aeldari. The Craftworld's Seer arrived to negotiate, and Li Qinwu immediately asked her where the flute was.

  • The Skitarii moved Isha's statue through the portal, bringing the map's exploration progress to 99% and completing the extraction.
  • Li Qinwu returned to the Vault with Daal, 120,000 Spirit Stones, damaged Constructs, armor, a staff, and two captives, then ordered the spoils sorted and moved most personnel and equipment to Agricultural World 496B.
  • Li Qinwu took Daal's Power Armor, rejected her attempt to seduce him, and locked her up while demanding a Master Bonesinger Flute in exchange for her release.
  • Li Qinwu prepared the Vault for a possible Aeldari attack and waited for a response from the battleship while preparing for the next map.
  • The Craftworld's Seer arrived with elite warriors, asked where her people were, and heard Li Qinwu demand the Master Bonesinger Flute.

Ch. 896A little game of heart-stopping thrills

Li Qinwu faced down the Farseer with a nuclear warhead and forced her to hand over a Bone Flute, then rejected it as a fake. The Farseer surrendered a genuine Master Bonesinger Flute just before Li Qinwu stopped the countdown, leaving her terrified and shaken.

  • The Farseer demanded to see where her people were, while Li Qinwu insisted on getting his Bone Flute first.
  • Li Qinwu started the nuclear warhead countdown, and the Farseer used Short-Frequency Prophecy to see that it would explode and destroy them all.
  • The Farseer threw Li Qinwu a Bone Flute, but he checked its description, judged it second-rate, and tossed it aside.
  • When the Farseer’s warriors drew their weapons, Li Qinwu restarted the countdown and threatened her until she handed over a second flute.
  • Li Qinwu confirmed the second flute was a Master Bonesinger Flute, then disabled the warhead at zero, leaving the Farseer drenched in sweat.

Ch. 897Isha's Kiss

Li Qinwu traded 500 Spirit Stones for the Eldar medical chamber Isha's Kiss, which could cure nearly every illness and injury. After the Seer took possession of the Spirit Crystals, Li Qinwu began negotiating a second deal and asked for a Solar Sail.

  • Daal left the Steel Prison and told the Seer that Li Qinwu had obtained 120,000 Spirit Stones from the Soulstone Temple.
  • Li Qinwu demanded medical equipment to remove radiation, chemical contamination, and toxins before agreeing to trade any Spirit Stones.
  • The Seer brought Isha's Kiss, and Li Qinwu confirmed that the chamber could heal almost every illness, injury, contamination, and curse.
  • Li Qinwu gave the Seer 500 Spirit Crystals for Isha's Kiss, while they traded insults in languages the other did not understand.
  • Li Qinwu asked the Seer for a Solar Sail as the next trade began.

Ch. 898Solar Sail

Li Qinwu bought four Solar Sails from the Farseer and used a thousand Psykers to teleport the first sail to Agricultural World 496B. After the exhausting spell strengthened the Psykers, Li Qinwu planned another teleport and asked the Silent One to teach him weather magic.

  • The Farseer agreed to sell Li Qinwu four Solar Sails for four thousand Spirit Stones, and her people began removing them from the Exploration Vessel.
  • Li Qinwu assembled his Psykers at a Factory on Agricultural World 496B and linked them into a Psychic Power battery to teleport a Solar Sail from the Vault.
  • The teleportation overwhelmed more than a hundred Psykers, and Li Qinwu's medical team used Green Needles to save those with cerebral hemorrhages.
  • Li Qinwu boasted to the Silent One about his Psychic Power, then offered him an Eldar staff in exchange for lessons in Lightning Storm.
  • The Silent One said the teleportation had trained the Psykers' mental strength, and Li Qinwu ordered them to rest before teleporting another Solar Sail in twelve hours.

Ch. 899Wraithbone Plant

Li Qinwu prepared to refit four Solar Sails onto the Fortune and dealt with Bruce Crocodile abandoning his nursing duties to follow him into the Vault. When the Seer arrived to negotiate the 120,000 Spirit Stone transaction, Li Qinwu asked her for the finest Wraithbone Plants.

  • Li Qinwu arranged to install the four Solar Sails on the Fortune, while the Silent One suggested more joint training for the Beast Priests.
  • Bruce Crocodile left baby Troy with the Silent One, who was immediately drained of half his Psychic Power, then followed Li Qinwu through the portal into the Vault.
  • Bruce Crocodile told Li Qinwu that he could be resurrected through the Beast God and Emperor Shrine, and Li Qinwu let him stay for the meeting.
  • The Seer arrived at the Vault and was startled to discover that Bruce Crocodile was a Lesser God's soul fragment.
  • Li Qinwu calmed Bruce Crocodile and told the Seer he wanted the finest Wraithbone Plants.

Ch. 900Webway Map

Li Qinwu traded ten thousand Spirit Stones with the Farseer for a Wraithbone Plant and then offered one hundred thousand for a Webway Map. The Farseer feared both the loss of vital Eldar knowledge and the consequences of attacking him, leaving the proposed deal unresolved.

  • Li Qinwu explained how a cultivated Wraithbone Plant could support Eldar production and offered the Farseer ten thousand Spirit Stones for one.
  • The Farseer agreed, and Eldar technicians delivered a Wraithbone Plant that Li Qinwu confirmed was a priceless, exceptionally refined specimen.
  • Li Qinwu paid for the plant and told the Farseer he would offer one hundred thousand Spirit Stones for his next request.
  • Li Qinwu demanded a Webway Map, shocking the Farseer and her guards because the Webway was a crucial but increasingly fragile Eldar travel network.
  • The Farseer considered attacking Li Qinwu, but her Short-Frequency Prophecy showed that he would detonate a Nuclear Warhead beneath himself if she turned hostile.

Ch. 901Major Transaction

Li Qinwu demanded a Webway Route Map in exchange for 100,000 Spirit Stones, and the Farseer discovered through prophecy that every attempt to seize him ended in a nuclear explosion. Facing the Craftworld’s possible extinction, she agreed to the trade, and both sides swore their goods would be free of tampering.

  • The Farseer used Short-Comment Prophecy to test ways of restraining Li Qinwu, but each attempt ended with him detonating the Nuclear Warhead.
  • Li Qinwu refused to bargain for anything other than the Webway Route Map, which he wanted in exchange for 100,000 Spirit Stones.
  • The Farseer weighed the Craftworld’s survival against betraying her race and finally agreed to the trade.
  • Li Qinwu demanded that the Farseer swear the map would be unaltered, and she swore to the God of Reputation and the Craftworld’s continued existence.
  • Li Qinwu swore to the God-Emperor that the 100,000 Spirit Crystals would have no problems, and the Farseer declared that the trade would begin.
