Background / History

Lynn was previously an adult living in China. He awakens reborn as a helpless infant in an unfamiliar wilderness, where the Worlds Growth System grants him top-tier Conqueror’s Haki and identifies his new world as One Piece. With a venomous snake threatening him and no ability to care for himself, he releases his Haki to attract Kaido’s attention after Kaido inadvertently saves him. 1

Kaido is captivated by the newborn’s Haki, adopts him without negotiation, gives him the same name he had before reincarnation, and publicly names him the heir of the Beasts Pirates. The crew formally recognizes him as “Young Master Lynn” after his Haki overwhelms most officers in the banquet hall. 2

Under Kaido’s protection on Onigashima, Lynn grows at an abnormal rate. By three months old, he can run, jump, and write simple words, though he cannot yet speak normally. Black Maria becomes his caretaker, while Yamato treats him as her little brother. 3

Lynn repeatedly uses system missions to acquire cross-world abilities and improve his stamina. He independently leaves Onigashima to fight Marines on G-58 Island, defeats Vice Admiral Dobberman with the Seventh Gate, and drives the remaining Marine force into retreat through a partial Eighth Gate activation. The Navy subsequently issues him a one-billion-Beli bounty and the world begins calling him the “Demon Child.” 6 8 9 11 12

After mastering the Eighth Gate and gaining Amaterasu, Lynn intercepts Rockstar’s letter to Whitebeard and defeats Blackbeard. He later joins Jack’s visit to Dressrosa, where he overpowers Donquixote Doflamingo and Gild Tesoro, seizes SMILE Artificial Devil Fruits, and extorts money from Tesoro.
