Roy and Cedric handed the robes they had brought in their bags to the kindly Madam Malkin. After she used a magical measuring tape to take all kinds of measurements from them and recorded their sizes on paper, she took the robes into the workshop at the back of the shop.
"Come on, we'll have to wait a while before we can pick up the altered robes. Let's go to Flourish and Blotts and look at this semester's textbooks first. Maybe you'll run into that girl named Cho there."
With a mischievous grin, Roy nudged Cedric with his elbow, then pulled him out of Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions and headed toward Flourish and Blotts in the middle of Diagon Alley.
"By the way, do you know who our Defense Against the Dark Arts professor will be next semester? I asked around everywhere, but nobody had heard of a wizard named Dia Jobana. I wonder where Dumbledore found this professor."
"Dia Jobana..."
Roy muttered the name, lifting his head as though something had occurred to him.
"So our Defense Against the Dark Arts professor this semester is a woman?"
Cedric nodded.
"Probably. Come to think of it, she seems to be the only female Defense Against the Dark Arts professor in all these years. Apparently, the last woman to hold the position was thirty years ago. I wonder if she can handle it."
Roy smiled. He did not particularly care.
Ever since Voldemort had been rejected when he tried to apply for the position, he had cursed the Defense Against the Dark Arts professorship at Hogwarts. No one could last a full year in the job. The luckier ones merely got injured, losing an arm or breaking a leg. The less fortunate ones died while in office. Oh, right,
