Origin

Great God Pangu opened the Primordial World within Chaos. He fought nearly three thousand Chaos Demon Gods during its creation; those slain or absorbed became nourishment for the nascent world, including the Dao paths and Laws within their bodies. Pangu also infused three thousand Laws from the Jade Plate of Creation into the world. 449 450

The world initially remained unstable and attempted to close in on itself. Pangu stood at its center to stabilize it, earning Heaven-Opening Merit. His Heaven Splitting Axe, Thirty-Sixth Grade Chaos Green Lotus, and Jade Plate of Creation entered the world despite being heavily damaged in the world-opening battle. 450

Mount Buzhou and the Pangu Membrane

Mount Buzhou supports the Primordial Continent rather than the sky. At its summit, the Pangu Membrane separates the Primordial Heaven and Earth from Chaos and transforms Chaotic Energy into Primordial Spiritual Energy. 39

The mountain retains Pangu's suppressive force and aura. Its pressure can temper a cultivator's mental will, Primordial Spirit, and physical body. 38 39

Spiritual environment

• Primordial Spiritual Energy sustains cultivation and is distributed unevenly across the world. The Western Primordial Desolation is notably barren because of damaged Earth Veins. 40
• Earth Veins and Spiritual Veins are integral to regional vitality. Mount Sumeru's Earth Veins are tied to the Western Desolation's recovery. 40
• The Grand Heavenly Star Formation converts Chaotic Energy into Primordial Spiritual Energy, nourishing the Primordial World and influencing conditions such as day, night, and the four seasons. 205 207 296
• The Four Symbols Heavenly Pillars, placed at the four extremities of the Primordial Desolation, absorb spiritual energy and stabilize the world. 406

History

Early calamities

The Primordial World experienced the Ferocious Beast Calamity, the Three Clans' Dominance, the Dragon-Han Calamity, and the Dao-Devil Conflict. During the Ferocious Beast Calamity, Shenni sacrificed himself to mend the Heavenly Dao; Karmic Tribulation Qi thereafter clouded minds and obscured Heavenly Dao deductions. 14 54

The Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin Clans once stood at the world's peak under Heaven's Mandate, but their conflict for fortune devastated their position in the Primordial Desolation. 72

During the Dao-Devil Conflict, the world was divided between Luo Hou's Devil Path in the west and the eastern resistance led by four ancestors. 7

Emergence of major powers

After the earlier calamities, Blessed Grotto-Heavens and new mountain sanctuaries emerged across the Primordial Continent, including Kunlun Mountain, Phoenix Perch Mountain, Fire Cloud Cave, and Longevity Mountain. The Western Desolation remained comparatively barren. 45

The Primordial World later became dominated by three principal powers:

• Demon Race / Heavenly Court — Held the Primordial Starry Sky and Heavenly Realm under Emperor Jun. 115 202
• Wu Tribe — A body-refinement race that does not cultivate Primordial Spirits and wields laws through its flesh. 65
• Celestial Court — Eastern Lord Duke's faction, based around the three immortal islands of Penglai, Yingzhou, and Fangzhang. 81 101

Integration of great worlds

The Heavenly Realm appeared within the Primordial World while retaining its own independent space. Its Thirty-Three Heavens contained immense resources, Spiritual Veins, Natural Treasures, and fortune. 114

Nüwa later opened Wa Emperor Palace in Chaos to replenish the Primordial Heavenly Dao's depleted origin. Once formed, the Small World was taken over by the Heavenly Dao and became part of the Primordial World. 273 274

Five further Small Worlds opened by the Three Purities, Jie Yin, and Zhun Ti were likewise incorporated into the Primordial Heavenly Dao. They absorbed and converted Chaotic Energy to replenish the world's origin while remaining under their creators' control. 306 308

The Netherworld subsequently opened its gateway through the Blood Sea. Its arrival added a third great world alongside the Heavenly Realm and Devil World, reducing the burden formerly borne by the latter two in suppressing flaws of the Primordial World. 383 386

Heavenly Dao

The Primordial Heavenly Dao governs the world's Laws, fortune, Heaven's Mandates, and karmic order. Its state can become chaotic during great calamities, making deduction difficult. 2 14

The Heavenly Dao absorbs the traits and Laws developed by the Heavenly Realm, Netherworld, Devil World, and newly created Small Worlds. However, these great worlds retain their own characteristics and are not identical to the Heavenly Dao itself. 308 413

The world's recognition is necessary for an Innate Spiritual Treasure to advance into a Primordial Treasure. When the Hetu Luoshu Diagram attempted ascension within the Primordial World, its heavens and earth did not permit another Primordial Treasure to arise there. 159

Inhabitants

The Primordial World contains innumerable races, including Primordial Deities, Hidden Races, the Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin Clans, the Demon Race, Wu Tribe, Human Race, and Asura Race. 39 103 262 281

Most ordinary beings struggle primarily for survival, cultivation, and reproduction. Competition for resources and territory produces continual minor conflicts even during periods of relative peace among the major powers. 258 267

The Human Race, created by Nüwa with Innate Dao Bodies, begins as a weak newcomer but possesses a powerful collective Fate Line and is identified as the future protagonist of the world. 262 267

Major threats

• Starry Sky Behemoths — Instinct-driven creatures that absorb Star Essence and eventually devour stars. Their destruction grants merit because they threaten the Primordial Starry Sky. 37
• Extraterrestrial Devils — Beings tied to the Devil World that invade and manipulate the minds of Primordial World cultivators. 107 170
