What, You Can't Do It?
"Calgar! To the left!"
Calgar ducked as a beam of psionic energy grazed his head, shearing another layer off the smoking shield behind him. The Victrix Guard ' shield bearers cursed and raised their shields to protect their heads.
"Is there something wrong with Magnus?" Calgar squatted back down, catching his breath.
"The Primarchs of the psychic powers is not playing around with you?"
"Was he like this before he entered Chaos?"
"Pretty much." Dante said, leaping out from behind the ice floe and jumping into a crevice.
The Blood Angels followed him, dodging the two beams of light.
Magnus snorted from above.
"Dante! I recognize you!"
He then unleashed another psionic orb:
"The Regent of the Dark! Fight me head-on!"
Dante huddled in the ice crevice. "No, no, Uncle Fifteen! We're all relatives!"
Magnus choked.
He hadn't expected Dante to admit defeat so readily at this moment.
Magnus remained suspended in the void, speechless for a long time. After a moment of stunned disbelief, he began to conjure an even larger sphere of psionic energy.
Calgar smiled helplessly from a distance.
I have a feeling that the style of the Siege of Terra has started to go astray since Lord Lin En came along.
Dante received a message from Lin En on the other end.
Mortarion committed suicide, the Death Guard was dealt with, and Lin En was on his way.
All they had to do was hold Magnus back and prevent him from moving towards Terra.
"Calgar! Lord Lin En is almost here!"
"Knew!"
"Delay him for another half hour!"
"No problem!"
Calgar, hiding behind an ice mound, took a deep breath and turned to encourage the Ultramarines behind him. "Brothers! Lord Lin En is coming!"
May the Emperor protect you!
"We'll hold Magnus back until Lord Lin En arrives!"
"Yes!"
*******
The Night Goddess fleet sped towards the Magnus battlefield.
After two hours and forty minutes of Warp travel, the warp exit opened, and the windshield was filled with all sorts of psionic explosions.
Red, blue, purple, fireballs, lightning balls, acid balls—all colors—exploded in the void, turning into a shower of fireworks.
Lin En breathed a sigh of relief as soon as he arrived.
Magnus and the Thousand Sons Sorcerer threw psionic fireballs at Dante and Calgar's lines from a great distance, one after another, as if they were throwing money away.
Fortunately, Dante and Calgar did not appear to have suffered many casualties.
At most, it looked like they were badly beaten by Magnus and his team.
Magnus hovered in the void, blue psionic patterns flashing across his crimson skin, his large single eye darting about.
Oh, Magnus.
Anything thrown into Chaos will become indescribably ugly.
Lin En grabbed the communicator and immediately contacted Dante and the others.
As soon as the communication was established, Dante and Calgar breathed a sigh of relief, "Lord Lin En, you've finally arrived!"
Lin En asked, "Were there any casualties? How many?"
In the background, Dante could still hear the booming sound of psionic fireballs hitting the ice, "We've focused on dodging and stalling, avoiding direct confrontation. So far, no Blood Angels have been killed; a dozen are seriously injured, and about a hundred are lightly wounded. They were all grazed by attacks and will recover in a few days."
Calgar: "It's about the same here."
Thanks to the Yellow Pelt, everything's alright.
Tzeentch Daemon is the most powerful of all the demon armies.
Lin En said, "Keep holding on, we're coming over soon, brothers, just hang in there a little longer."
"Clear."
"Clear!"
The communication went down.
Lin En slammed the communicator on the Control Console and stood up.
The Night Goddess propelled itself forward at full speed, its bow pushing aside the psychic shockwaves at the edge of the battlefield and penetrating deep into the battlefield illuminated by psychic light.
The complex Psychic Paradox within the halo engulfed the scattered fireballs thrown by the Thousand Sons Sorcerer.
The Hive Fleet spread out on both sides of the Night Goddess's hull. The giant Mothership arched its rear end forward, its forelimbs tearing through the ice of the Little Star Belt, acting like a fox borrowing the tiger's might, and marched away in a great manner.
They are also afraid of psionic energy.
But there's nothing to fear when you're near the Mothership.
The Hive Ship's tentacles swung back and forth, occasionally chewing up the emerging Thousand Sons one by one.
"Pah." He spat out a mouthful of psionic residue and shook his head.
After being subjected to forbidden magic, the warriors of the Thousand Sons all became Rubric Marines. Inside their armor was actually just a cloud of psionic dust; eating them was almost the same as eating psionic ghosts.
Lin En walked to the tactical screen and zoomed in on Magnus's position.
Magnus hovered in the void, surrounded by the Thousand Sons Sorcerer, like a circle of wasps guarding a queen bee.
He decided to try and kill Magnus with the help of the canned animals this time, without the Lion King's support.
The Lion King was the main force that killed Magnus in Bolomite last time.
But he killed Angron himself last time by flying a kite.
I think I could try Magnus this time.
Although Magnus has ranged attacks, he has the Psychic Paradox. Little Horse wants to rely on physical strength, he still has Thirty Days left.
However, he might not be able to wear him Immortality, because Magnus isn't as stubborn as Angron; if things go wrong, he'll run away.
Magnus couldn't escape last time because the Lion King could also teleport.
Lin En currently lacks effective means to imprison and pursue these Primarchs, making it difficult for Little Horse to escape.
However, that's not necessarily true.
If the [No-Fly] is activated, he can't fly. Then, if you find an opportunity to break his legs, you still have a chance to keep him.
System: [Break the Primarchs's leg?]
"What, you can't do it?"
The system erupted in fury: [Nonsense! Your dad can do anything!!! Hit his legs!!!!]
Lin En thought the plan was acceptable and patted the tactical screen.
"Phoros," he called out, turning his head.
Phoros immediately walked over from the side. "Sir."
"Notify the entire fleet that we're flanking from the side to separate the Thousand Sons Sorcerer from their master. You take care of the Thousand Sons Sorcerer, and I'll take care of Magnus."
Once everyone is afflicted with the Psychic Paradox, what are those Thousand Sons Sorcerer compared to them? They're just speed bumps under the feet of these assault-type Astartes.
"After you've dealt with those Thousand Sons Sorcerer, come help me. But be careful of their physical summoning spells; things like meteors and fire that become physical entities are still impossible to ignore."
"Yes." Phoros nodded and turned to relay the message.
Lin En prepared to enter the battlefield.
The system reminded him: [While Magnus's physical abilities as Primarchs are inferior to those of Angron, they are still far superior to those of ordinary Astartes. The host still needs to be careful.]
Lin En didn't even look up. "I have Thirty Days. Let him make thirty cuts first."
system:[...]
Occasionally, it might reflect on whether its mechanisms are truly too over-the-top.
Lin En took two steps forward from the bridge, stood by the Porthole, and looked at Magnus's crimson figure on the ice field ahead.
Purification was essentially useless for Magnus, because Magnus deliberately joined the mixed race in order to survive.
Unless the Emperor tells him personally that he doesn't blame him, unless the Emperor beats Tzeentch in front of him, unless he can figure it out himself.
It's all because of Tzeentch's district.
Sometimes, the evil god's conspiracy is laid bare on paper, but there's no way to break it unless you forcefully dismantle it with overwhelming force.
Forget it, we'll deal with whatever comes our way.
If we can capture him alive, we will; if we can't, we'll kill him.
Great, the plan works.
Abaddon is already in jail; adding or subtracting Magnus Magnus n't make a difference.
