Ch. 39Kurumi, Kurumi, and the Kurumis

Huanyue left with First-Meeting Kurumi, while the others stayed home, and the chapter ended with Kurumi taking an interest in Shiori Itsuka.

  • Qian Huanyue asked Kurumi to go with her, but the Kurumi Four Heavenly Kings and other clones tried to claim the outing.

  • Hii Hibiki explained that contestants attacked Quasi-Spirits in the competition, where only one person could survive and win a Soul Crystal.
  • Hii Hibiki told Qian Huanyue and Kurumi that a Soul Crystal was a Quasi-Spirit’s heart and that its destruction meant death.
  • Hii Hibiki revealed that she hoped the two Spirits could defeat Puppeteer and save her injured friend Yūkage.
  • Hii Hibiki considered using her Nameless Angel, [King Killing], to steal an ability from Qian Huanyue or Kurumi.
  • Qian Huanyue offered to help Hii Hibiki test her strength and said she wanted to be her friend.

Ch. 42Dolls Are Creepy Things

Ch. 44Good Thing No One Was Here... Otherwise, It'd Be So Embarrassing

Qian Huanyue located and defeated the Puppeteer, Supanye, with the overwhelming power of [Seraph of Thousand Blades]. After using a devastating cannon attack, she was left alone with painful burns on her hands and hoped no one had witnessed her crying.

  • Qian Huanyue found Supanye hiding in the school building and destroyed thousands of her dolls while counting them.
  • Supanye begged Qian Huanyue for mercy and offered her rewards, power, and obedience, but Qian Huanyue chose to kill her.

  • The blast erased Supanye, her dolls, and the remaining school structure.
  • Qian Huanyue burned her hands with the attack, cried from the pain, and quietly healed herself while hoping no one had seen her.

Ch. 45Huh?! Sealing Without a Kiss?

Qian Huanyue relived Tohka’s memories and discovered that Shiori sealed Tohka’s Spiritual Power with a forehead bump rather than a kiss, leaving her embarrassed about their own date. After returning to the Ninth Domain, she tried to create pudding with Spiritual Power but accidentally turned Seraph of Thousand Blades into a hard pudding-shaped object.

  • Qian Huanyue experienced Tohka’s memories of meeting the silver-haired girl and Shiori, who helped Tohka gain her name and promised she deserved a normal life.
  • Qian Huanyue saw Shiori and Tohka collide foreheads, sealing Tohka’s Spiritual Power without a kiss, and wondered whether Shiori had taken advantage of her on their date.
  • Qian Huanyue used Seraph of Thousand Blades to clear the ruins and opened a path to the Ninth Domain, where Kurumi noticed her watery eyes.
  • Qian Huanyue asked for something sweet, and Hii Hibiki explained that Quasi-Spirits could create things by imagining them and using Spiritual Power.

  • Qian Huanyue sang beautifully, and Hii Hibiki asked whether she had studied singing.
  • Qian Huanyue said she remembered her human life clearly, and Kurumi, Hii Hibiki, and Yangliu Xiying reacted with surprise and envy.

Ch. 47Hii Hibiki: No, no, no!

Mio Takamiya considered Qian Huanyue a powerful but potentially harmless Otherworldly Spirit and decided she might become an ally. Meanwhile, Huanyue punished Hii Hibiki for teasing her with a revealing performance outfit, leaving Hibiki dressed in it and mortified.

  • Mio Takamiya reflected that Qian Huanyue was an incomplete Otherworldly Spirit whose power could be dangerous, though her gentle nature made her unlikely to disrupt Mio's plan.
  • Mio remembered Shinji's death and felt relieved that she might not need to use her Angel to stop Huanyue.
  • Qian Huanyue sneezed, and Hii Hibiki joked that she might have caught a cold before creating a midriff-baring performance outfit for her.
  • Huanyue summoned Seraph of Thousand Blades, lifted Hibiki into the air, and dragged her into the changing room.
  • Yangliu Xiying refused to rescue Hibiki, and Hibiki emerged wearing the outfit while Huanyue laughed at her.

Ch. 48First Appearance: Huanyue-chan

  • Qian Huanyue collided with someone there.

Ch. 49No! I Object

Qian Huanyue gathered her friends to form an idol group and sought their opinions on her song, whose lyrics described love as torture. Just as everyone appeared ready to approve it, a blonde Quasi-Spirit objected, drawing Qian Huanyue’s eager attention.

  • Hii Hibiki tickled Yangliu Xiying and persuaded her to join the idol group, then Qian Huanyue invited Kurumi, who agreed to come along.
  • Qian Huanyue woke Nia Honjo and asked her to evaluate the lyrics and music for her song, “Love’s Lingchi.”
  • Nia praised the song’s rhythm and distinctive lyrics despite finding them horrifying, while Kurumi, Hii Hibiki, and Yangliu Xiying showed no objection to using it.
  • Qian Huanyue began to approve the song, but Hii Hibiki objected, and the gathered Quasi-Spirits turned toward her.

Ch. 50Help Me, Great Idol

Huili Liyinmeng, a former idol who lost her ability to sing after experiencing Miku’s painful memories, criticized the girls’ music and was asked to improve it. She agreed to help Qian Huanyue’s group, despite insisting she could no longer sing.

  • Huili Liyinmeng remembered how the darkness of Miku’s past had left her unable to sing or perform onstage.
  • Huili Liyinmeng introduced herself to Qian Huanyue, who learned from Nia Honjo and [Ratziel] that she was the former ruler of the Ninth Domain and had lost her voice after touching the black pillar.
  • Qian Huanyue consulted Nia Honjo about a possible way forward, and Nia explained that [Ratziel] could only estimate a route whose future remained changeable.
  • Huili Liyinmeng asked the girls to improve their song’s arrangement, and Qian Huanyue urged her to help the group as their reliable great idol.
  • Huili Liyinmeng agreed to help without accepting a Soul Crystal as payment.
