Base and Organization

• Stronghold — Soren High-Security Prison, outside Green Forest City’s eastern suburbs. Marauders seized its perimeter defenses and ammunition depot; its walls are reinforced with barbed wire and broken glass, and its watchtowers hold snipers and machine gunners 27 38.
• Habal — Nicknamed “Iron Hammer,” he serves as warden and the faction’s visible leader. He prefers fighting to planning and relies on Baku for strategy 38.
• Baku — Plans operations and exerts psychological control over prisoners and marauders. After Habal leaves the prison yard, its members respond to Baku with reverence and obedience 38.
• Prisoners — Forced into gladiatorial fights or used as expendable attackers, including the Slave Suicide Squad 25 38.

History

Marauder Prison established a surveillance outpost at Phoenix Tree Apartments in East City District 13. The Black Shield Police Department raided and destroyed it, though supplies remained hidden in several rooms 2. After learning of the loss through an insider, Marauder Prison planned retaliation against a returning Black Shield patrol 14.

At Land Hotel in District 14, the faction ambushed the patrol with mines, grenades, Molotov cocktails, machine guns, snipers and armed vehicles. When Black Shield counterattacked, members of Marauder Prison’s Slave Suicide Squad detonated themselves among its vehicles and positions. The marauders withdrew after the battle 14 25 26.

Marauder Prison later arranged a transaction with Burning Fortress. An announced exchange of twenty slaves concealed the delivery of an organ donor compatible with Burning Fortress leader Black Lung Victor. In return for fuel, supplies, explosives and military assistance, Marauder Prison intended to help Burning Fortress capture an offshore oil field; Burning Fortress would help it take East District from Black Shield 36 40. Baku deliberately leaked transaction information as part of the trap for Black Shield 38.

The operation at Splow Park went wrong when Yu Yuan attacked the lightly guarded supplies, killed a Flame Priest and a Marauder Prison representative, and freed the donor 41 42. Burning Fortress interpreted the losses as a betrayal by Marauder Prison. Habal killed the operation’s warden, Tusi, while Baku decided to take a replacement donor to Victor and try to preserve the alliance 42 45.

Relationships

• Black Shield Police Department — Longstanding enemy responsible for destroying the District 13 outpost; Marauder Prison subsequently ambushed its forces and planned to seize its East City stronghold 2 14 25 40.
• Burning Fortress — Prospective ally in a donor-for-supplies exchange and a plan for territorial expansion. The losses at Splow Park left Burning Fortress suspecting betrayal 40 42 45.
• Yu Yuan — Scavenged the aftermath of the Land Hotel battle and later disrupted the Splow Park exchange. Baku suspects an internal informant and Black Shield involvement, rather than identifying Yu Yuan as the attacker 26 41 42 45.
