Background and History

Li Zi knows a story in which she is a short-lived supporting character. In that original plot, she enters the Spirit Sword Sect as an outer disciple, awakens the Myriad Flower Divine Bone during an expedition, and is killed after Ran Zirou persuades inner disciples to remove it 2. Aware of that fate, Li Zi initially considers leaving the sect rather than living there without the ability to cultivate 4.

Fifth Elder Lin Shixian recognizes her concealed Divine Bone and takes her as a direct disciple. Her meridians are later found to be completely blocked, prompting the sect’s seniors to seek a way to awaken her constitution. Body-cleansing treatments allow her to begin cultivating, and her progress becomes a source of alarm to Ran Zirou, who still wants the bone 6 12 23 24 39.

Li Zi’s unspoken conversations with her system can be heard by nearby cultivators, though they agree not to tell her. Information from those conversations exposes schemes and changes relationships across the sects. Li Zi later pursues combat and movement training, learns formations, and accompanies other disciples into Secret Realms 6 38 113 117 126.

After confronting Heavenly Venerable Fuxin—the former master who took her Immortal Bone and cast her into reincarnation—Li Zi defeats and kills him. The Purple Qi Sect’s elders and disciples then recognize her as their Sect Master 298.

Despite her rapid progress, she fears Ran Zirou and would prefer an easy life to relentless cultivation; concern for her own survival repeatedly pushes her back into training 61 125 156.

Her caution does not keep her from helping others. She refuses to buy the Medicine Maniac’s potentially valuable formula for a token price, worries about people endangered by Ran Zirou’s schemes, and comes to regard the people of this world as more than characters in a book 135 156 111.
