Recovery and Poseidon’s Agreement

After fleeing the Divine Realm, Gu Yuena recuperated beneath the Lake of Life in the Star Dou Forest, guarded by Di Tian. Her enormous dragon body bore a scar nearly a thousand meters long, still radiating an aura of slaughter 7 51.

Despite the Soul Beast Clan’s blood feud with human deities, she decided that cooperation offered the best chance of recovery. She overruled Di Tian’s objections, explaining that waiting another ten thousand years could leave the clan without a future. She also promised that its restoration would allow him to pursue his dream of exploring the universe 7.

Poseidon used the Sea God’s Light to disperse the Asura Divine Power in her wound. In exchange, Gu Yuena agreed to marry his successor, Xiang Jun, and swore on her Divine Soul not to betray him. Breaking that promise would result in the destruction of the Soul Beast Clan. Xiang Jun learned of the arrangement only afterward 45.

Shrek Academy and Tang Wutong’s Rivalry

Gu Yuena joined Class One as a transfer student, introducing herself as a level 39 Soul Elder. Her first meeting with Tang Wutong immediately became hostile: their handshake produced silver and golden dragon phantoms, accompanied by a roar that shook their classmates at the bloodline level 33.

The rivalry continued through classroom clashes and an unsuccessful dormitory arrangement. Tang Wutong refused to share a room with her and instead stayed in Xiang Jun’s dormitory 34 36 37.

Before the Freshman Assessment, Gu Yuena challenged Tang Wutong to a wager. If Tang Wutong lost, she would surrender her classroom seat and move out of Dormitory 404. Tang Wutong recognized that Gu Yuena wanted greater access to Xiang Jun and accepted the challenge 44 45.

Freshman Assessment

Gu Yuena formed a team with Zhu Lu and Cui Yajie. Her team completed the round-robin stage undefeated, with ten victories, before facing Tang Wutong’s team in the quarterfinals 44 50 51.

After the teammates on both sides were eliminated, Gu Yuena defeated Tang Wutong in a duel. Her bloodline pressure suppressed the Light Goddess Butterfly, while the Silver Dragon Spear and elemental attacks overwhelmed Tang Wutong’s ringless Clear Sky Hammer. Silver Dragon’s Roar countered the Great Sumeru Hammer, and Tang Wutong conceded after exhausting her Soul Power 51.

Her satisfaction faded when Xiang Jun carried Tang Wutong away. Although Gu Yuena acknowledged that she and Xiang Jun had no romantic feelings yet, she resented another girl’s intimacy with her fiancé 51.

Gu Yuena subsequently defeated Ning Tian’s team and chose to face Xiang Jun alone in the final. She blocked Unfixed Storm with Silver Dragon Lock, but his teleportation and heavy trident strikes broke her advantage. Thunder God’s Wrath severely injured her, and Du Weilun intervened against the final barrage of trident phantoms. She admitted defeat and was subsequently named a Shrek Core Disciple 54 55 56.

Her victory over Tang Wutong also prompted the latter to seek a matching golden spear in the Divine Realm. Removing it from the Dragon-Sealing Tower accidentally freed the Golden Dragon King, who mistook Gu Yuena’s lingering aura on Tang Wutong for evidence that his other half had arranged his release 52 62 63.

Alliance with Xiang Jun

After the assessment, Gu Yuena occupied Tang Wutong’s former seat beside Xiang Jun and became Class One’s vice monitor. She invited him to the Food God House, where she introduced Di Tian, Xiong Jun, Bi Ji, and Myriad Demon King to establish their partnership openly 59.

At dinner, Poseidon revealed that Xiang Jun had originally been a spirit of the ocean before being made completely human. Gu Yuena had detected no soul-beast aura on him. Learning that Tang Wutong did not know this secret pleased her 60.

After eight months together, their relationship had grown closer, though Gu Yuena still described the engagement as an alliance of interests. Before Xiang Jun departed for the Far North, she gave him an emergency dragon scale and invited him to the Star Dou Forest for a unique gift. His escort to the forest delighted her, while their parting left her unexpectedly melancholy 65 66.

The gift was revealed to be the captive million-year Sky Dream Ice Silkworm. Gu Yuena intended to give him to Xiang Jun, arguing that restoring the clan would eliminate the heavenly tribulations threatening her subordinates 68.

When a mysterious pressure incapacitated a Shrek soul-hunting party, she investigated with the ferocious beasts and forbade them from killing the unconscious humans. Finding Huo Yuxi among them, she discovered that Xiang Jun’s supposedly male roommate had a female body, provoking renewed jealousy 68.

Appearance

Gu Yuena is authoritative and pragmatic about the clan’s survival. She accepts help from a human deity despite their historical enmity, but does not tolerate Di Tian questioning her decision. Her severity softens when she acknowledges his loyalty and personal ambitions 7.

She is exceptionally confident in her own “world-shaking wisdom.” Initially, she assumes that controlling a human fiancé will be effortless. During her duel with Xiang Jun, successfully countering one technique convinces her that victory is imminent, causing her to underestimate his other abilities 7 55.

Her competitiveness is especially pronounced around Tang Wutong. She enjoys frustrating her, claims Xiang Jun possessively, and treats gifts and privileged knowledge as advantages in their rivalry. Nevertheless, she accepts defeat to Xiang Jun gracefully once she understands his strength 45 51 56 60 68.

She insists that emotional attachment will not interfere with restoring the dragons’ supremacy. Her pleasure at Xiang Jun’s attention, reluctance at their parting, and flustered retreat contradict that insistence; Xiang Jun interprets this behavior as tsundere 65 66.
