Bibi Dong sat on the papal throne. Her black papal robes outlined her graceful figure. She had been handling Spirit Hall affairs when she sensed a change in the light.

She looked up at the sky beyond the window, and her brow furrowed.

"What is that?"

A trace of surprise and wariness slipped into Bibi Dong's voice.

"You two, go take a look!"

Chrysanthemum Douluo Yue Guan and Ghost Douluo Gui Mei flashed out of the hall.

A few minutes later, they returned.

The delicate-featured Chrysanthemum Douluo Yue Guan cupped his hands. "Your Holiness, a boundless Sky Curtain has appeared outside. It may cover the entire continent. We can't sense where it came from or determine its purpose."

Ghost Douluo Gui Mei, dressed in black robes, spoke in a hoarse voice. "Could Sea God Island be behind it? Or some hidden faction?"

"It can't be Sea God Island." Bibi Dong shook her head.

"Sea God Island isn't powerful enough to create a Sky Curtain that covers the entire continent. A hidden faction is even less likely. Every faction on Douluo Continent, whether out in the open or in hiding, is within Spirit Hall's grasp. None possesses this kind of power."

With that, Bibi Dong left Pope Palace and looked up at the Sky Curtain. A grave look flashed through her eyes. This power is beyond anything on Douluo Continent. It likely comes from the Divine Realm. Could a god from the Divine Realm have descended?

He paused, then spoke with greater certainty. "From what I saw and sensed, it may truly cover all of Douluo Continent. Not a single corner is exempt."

"Chief Worshiper, this Sky Curtain is far too strange," Golden Crocodile Douluo said, unable to quite conceal his shock. Despite being a level-ninety-eight Titled Douluo, he could not sense even a trace of energy from it.

Mighty Lion Douluo agreed in a low voice. "Yes, Chief Worshiper. No faction on Douluo Continent could command this kind of power. I fear no human could have done this."

Qian Daoliu slowly raised a hand and gazed through the hall's doors at the Sky Curtain. His face had never looked so grave.

After a moment of silence, he spoke heavily. "You're right. No human could create a curtain of light that covers the entire continent. This is likely the work of a god."

"A god?" The worshipers looked stunned. Golden Crocodile Douluo frowned. "Chief Worshiper, do you mean a god from the Douluo Divine Realm has descended? Has the Angel God given any warning?"

Qian Daoliu shook his head, his eyes still locked on the Sky Curtain. "Not yet. But one thing is certain: its appearance will bring tremendous changes to Douluo Continent. Pass down the order. Everyone in Spirit Hall is to watch it closely."

"Yes, Chief Worshiper!" the worshipers answered in unison.

Star Dou Great Forest, at the shores of Life Lake in its core region.

Di Tian stood quietly by the lake. Tall and dressed in black robes, he was surrounded by dense darkness and draconic might.

Beside him stood Er Ming, the Titan Giant Ape, and Da Ming, the Sky Azure Bull Python.

The moment the Sky Curtain appeared, Di Tian's golden eyes narrowed. His expression turned graver than ever before.

"Lord Beast God, what is that Sky Curtain?" Er Ming frowned, confusion and caution on his face. Unease filled his heart.

Da Ming nodded, his tone grave. "Yes, Lord Beast God. Could it be a human plot? Are they planning to harm Star Dou Great Forest?"

Di Tian slowly shook his head, still staring at the Sky Curtain. "This isn't a human plot. Humans don't have that kind of power! Notify every high-level Soul Beast in Star Dou Great Forest. Tell them to lie low for now, and forbid them from attacking the Sky Curtain."

"Yes, Lord Beast God." Da Ming and Er Ming bowed respectfully, then turned to deliver his orders.

Di Tian continued to stare at the Sky Curtain, caution flickering in his golden eyes.

Our lord is still asleep. I don't know whether this Sky Curtain will bring disaster or opportunity to us Soul Beasts.

Sun-Moon Empire, deep within Evil Demon Forest.

The Evil Eye Tyrant rested atop a massive boulder. He was the Evil Eye Tyrant Ruler, the strongest Soul Beast in the Sun-Moon Empire. His spiritual power rivaled that of a demigod, and his ultimate technique, Space-Time Light, was enough to make even the Beast God Di Tian wary.

His body was oval and entirely purple, with one enormous evil eye on top. A cold, savage gleam shone in it, while dense spiritual power and an evil aura surrounded him, enough to send chills down anyone's spine.

The instant the Sky Curtain appeared, the Evil Eye Tyrant snapped his huge eye open and looked up. His expression turned savage and disdainful.

"Hmph! What is that thing? How dare it run wild in my territory! I'll knock it out of the sky!"

Without hesitation, he gathered the immense spiritual power within him into the eye atop his head, ready to attack the Sky Curtain.

"Evil Eye Gaze!"

The Evil Eye Tyrant roared. A terrifying silver beam three meters wide shot from his eye, packed with spiritual power and destructive force. Like a sharp sword, it streaked straight toward the Sky Curtain.

But the Sky Curtain hung over a thousand kilometers above the ground, far beyond his reach. After traveling dozens of kilometers, the beam dimmed and broke apart, finally vanishing into the sky without coming anywhere near it.

"Damn it! Damn it!" the Evil Eye Tyrant roared. He glared at the Sky Curtain, furious and unwilling to give up, yet utterly helpless.

Sea God Island, Heaven Dou Imperial Palace, Star Luo Imperial Palace, the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, the Clear Sky Sect, the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Sect, the Star Crown Sect, Demonic Whale Sea, Far North, and other powers all held their own discussions about the Sky Curtain's appearance.

A heavy atmosphere settled over all of Douluo Continent.

Meanwhile, in the shattered Light God Kingdom, Su He sat quietly amid the ruins, a smug smile on his lips.
