Founding and expansion

Su Ming began establishing the Church in the eleventh year of a simulation, initially using West Wind Church as a provisional name. Dugu Bo agreed to serve as grand elder, lending his reputation without taking on duties that restricted his freedom. By the fifteenth year, the Church had 137 branches in the Heaven Dou Empire 5.

Its expansion reached the Star Luo Empire in the sixteenth year. Following negotiations with Qian Renxue, she and Spirit Hall supported the Church behind the scenes. By the seventeenth year, Su Ming could suppress internal dissent himself and allowed Dugu Bo to retire from the grand elder post into an honorary elder position 6.

Churches subsequently spread across the Douluo Continent. On another continent, the Church and the West Wind Dynasty won acceptance by providing stability and relief from hunger; the inhabitants’ sincere faith flowed toward Su Ming. He later established both institutions on the Sun Moon Continent 7.

Conflict and succession

After becoming a god, Bibi Dong destroyed every Church outpost in Spirit Hall territory in less than a day. Su Ming confronted her, and their battle prompted her to halt the purge 9 10.

In that simulation, Su Ming later united major powers across Douluo Star. Under his rule, the West Wind Church formally became the West Wind Federation, which promoted interregional trade and drafted new laws 11.

Organization and Operations

• Branch requirements — Each church had to shelter at least 500 people without crowding, feed struggling poor people at set times at least twice daily, and prohibit the taking of church property. People were free to come and go 5.
• Oversight — Su Ming left a Wind Elemental Clone at each branch to keep watch 5.
• Funding plan — As subsidies became unsustainable, Su Ming proposed connecting branches through trade routes. Workers would pay a small fixed contribution to the Church and keep the rest of their earnings 5.
• Faith — Belief gathered through the Church flowed toward Su Ming, who sought a path to godhood through faith 5 6 11.

Relationships

• Su Ming — Founder and decision-maker; he built the branch network as part of his faith-gathering plans 5 22.
• Dugu Bo — Grand elder at the Church’s founding; later held an honorary elder position 5 6.
• Qian Renxue and Spirit Hall — Provided support after negotiations with Su Ming, though Bibi Dong later attacked Church outposts 6 9.
• Ye Family — Reached an initial cooperation agreement with the Church because of their shared charitable aims 22.

Other Simulated Timelines

• Renewed founding — In a later simulation, Su Ming established the Church again and used clones and trade links to consolidate control. The Snow Empress and Ice Empress helped look after it 18 19.
• Wider reach — With support from Dugu Bo, the two Empresses, and Spirit Hall, that Church expanded across the Sun Moon Continent, other territories, and the Far North. Its branches attracted increasing numbers of commoners 20.
• Destruction — In that timeline, Tang San destroyed the West Wind Church in the simulation’s twenty-fourth year 23.
• Later federation — Another simulation depicts Su Ming establishing the West Wind Federation after bringing the Douluo Continent’s major powers under his control 63.
