Background / History
The body originally belonged to the Red-Eyed Silver Dragon King, whose sacrifice gave Ji Feng a hundred-thousand-year soul ring and two soul bones. Unwilling to waste the remains, Ji Feng collected them through the Blood Gate. He initially considered the corpse a potential undead servant or a source of valuable soul-tool materials 13 14.
A young female consciousness subsequently spoke from within the corpse. Her voice was explicitly different from that of the girl inside the Dragon Core: the corpse’s voice sounded no older than ten, whereas the Core’s sounded sixteen 16.
Ji Feng suspected that the Undead Demiplane’s demonic power might have caused a mutation and created a new consciousness. He doubted that the sacrificed dragon’s original consciousness could have survived, but the explanation remained speculation 25.
Appearance
- Size and weight: Approximately the size of a small hill and weighing roughly one hundred tons; the body initially occupies most of Ji Feng’s expanded demiplane 14.
- Eyes: Crimson vertical pupils whose red light allows Ji Feng to see the shattered Bagua Mirror nearby 25.
- Voice: Clear, youthful, and outwardly innocent despite her destructive spiritual power 16 25.
- Physical expressions: Can shed tears, drool while feeding, and release white vapor from her nostrils when angry 42 46.
Personality
The Dragon Corpse treats Ji Feng as her “big brother” and presents herself as his devoted younger sister. She promises to protect him, insists that he return home, and describes herself as attending to his domestic needs. This affection is possessive: she warns him against bringing other women home and becomes jealous of Long Ying, the Dragon Core 16 25 42.
She uses praise, exaggerated helplessness, and prolonged crying to pressure Ji Feng into feeding her. When explaining why she could provide only one soul ring, she blames her supposedly inadequate meals and theatrically calls herself useless; Ji Feng recognizes the manipulation 35 42.
Her appetite favors fresh souls, but she also insists that their shared home remain clean. Her sweet speech contrasts sharply with her cruelty toward enemies, including deliberately prolonging Ma Chuwen’s spiritual torment before consuming him 25 34 46.
Abilities & Skills
Spiritual Force and Mental Storms
Her principal combat ability is overwhelming spiritual power, often released with a dragon roar 24 25.
- Disperses the Eight Trigrams Formation’s li fire before it can burn Ji Feng 24.
- Shatters summoned lightning and prevents Xun wind blades from forming 25.
- Destroys the Bagua Mirror and kills Spider-Woman, whose mental power was comparable to a Soul Saint’s 25.
- Shatters more than a thousand skeletons with a single roar while leaving Ji Feng unharmed 26.
- Breaks down Ma Chuwen’s soul through sustained spiritual pressure, causing pain compared to millions of needles piercing it 34.
Soul Consumption
She feeds on souls and spirit bodies rather than physical remains 26 42.
- Absorbs the white smoke released from Spider-Woman’s destruction and the spirits inhabiting the skeleton horde 25 26.
- Strongly prefers fresh souls; she describes Xiang Li’s soul as a hundred times better than the stale souls from the forest 46.
- Rejects Monkey-Blood People because the puppets possess no spiritual power, despite having Soul Ancestor-level Soul Power 42.
- Does not eat corpses. Long Ying instead consumes bones, dead bodies, medicinal ingredients, and soulless equipment 42.
Soul-Ring Creation and Spatial Expansion
Through the Undead Demiplane, she can pass her power to Ji Feng when he has an available soul-ring slot. Ji Feng compares this to becoming a soul spirit, but she does not know that term 35.
- Creates a 25,000-year soul ring for his Spatial Martial Soul 34 35.
- The ring grants Spatial Perception, enhancing his senses and allowing perception within space, but not access to other people’s thoughts 35.
- Creates an additional demiplane room of roughly one hundred square meters and relocates Ji Feng’s household necessities there 35.
- Her output depends on how much she has eaten; at that point, she can condense only one ring 35.
Communication with Bone Spirit
She communicates with the consciousness inside the modified scimitar through an exchange Ji Feng cannot hear 34.
- Names the weapon Bone Spirit and reprimands its inhabitant for insulting Ji Feng 34.
- Explains that it absorbs bone marrow and reproduces one soul skill of the marrow’s original owner using white bones 34.
- The scimitar’s manufacture and modification belong to the Dragon Core, not the Dragon Corpse 31 34.
Water and Heat Manifestation
- Materializes clear water above Ji Feng and drenches him during an argument 42.
- Immediately produces heat that evaporates the water and leaves him reddened 42.
Relationships
- Ji Feng — Adopted “big brother,” protector, and food provider. She repeatedly saves him, but her power and possessiveness initially frighten him enough that he would rather face the Scarlet King. Their later interactions include teasing, quarrels, and his attempts to discipline her 25 26 30 46.
- Long Ying / Dragon Core — Separate female entity sharing the demiplane. The Dragon Corpse resents Ji Feng’s attention toward her and frequently blames her for problems, including the loss of stolen medicinal supplies 16 34 42 46.
- Spider-Woman — Enemy defeated when she attacks Ji Feng inside the demiplane. The Dragon Corpse destroys her mirror and absorbs the smoke released from her remains 24 25.
- Bone Spirit — Weapon consciousness she can privately address, reprimand, and explain to Ji Feng 34.
Story Role / Major Arcs
Rescue in the Undead Demiplane
Spider-Woman’s attempt to trap and kill Ji Feng exposes the corpse’s consciousness to him directly. After destroying her, the Dragon Corpse insists that he remove the household trash before leaving. When pursuing skeletons subsequently enter the demiplane, she treats them as snacks brought home by her brother 24 25 26.
Feeding and the Spatial Soul Ring
Ji Feng brings the still-living Ma Chuwen into the demiplane specifically to please her with fresh food. Her later gift of a spatial soul ring solves his difficulty finding a suitable soul beast for his second martial soul 34 35.
Xiang Family Pill Shop
Her renewed hunger leads to an argument over suitable food, with corpses and Monkey-Blood puppets rejected. During Ji Feng’s attack on the Xiang Family Pill Shop, she devours the guards’ souls and then Xiang Li’s. The subsequent discovery that Long Ying has consumed the stolen pills and medicinal ingredients sparks another quarrel; Ji Feng orders the Dragon Corpse to clear the remaining bodies and deliver them to the Core 42 46.
