Background / History

Transmigration and recruitment

Li Feng is struck by an out-of-control vehicle in his original world and awakens unharmed in another world. He occupies the body of another Li Feng, whose soul was consumed by the Wedding-Dress Bride after he panicked and attempted to push her away. The newcomer inherits his predecessor’s memories, though many details return only when prompted by relevant situations 1 6.

His predecessor was a recent university graduate already accepted into the Investigation Department. Li Feng completes onboarding and joins Yuan Chengfang’s South District team, receiving responsibility for an area within roughly two kilometers of his home 1 2 3.

The Wedding-Dress Bride

Mind Fog initially allows Li Feng to escape the Bride by concealing his aura. Later encounters reveal that it can consume her supernatural power, although contact exposes him to cold and dangerous wedding-themed illusions. He reports her presence and receives ten contribution points and 10,000 yuan after the Night Patrol Bureau destroys her manifestation 1 4 5 6.

The Bride subsequently returns. Li Feng defeats her manifestation himself using tempered hair and Mind Fog, but her true source survives in another dimension and vows revenge 7 8 10.

Ghost servants and the Weird Mirror

Li Feng acquires the Delivery Ghost and later converts a murdered black cat into his second Ghost Servant, naming it Chief. Their assistance increases his cultivation capacity, but the Delivery Ghost’s memories intrude into his dreams, alerting him to the mental risks of creating servants 15 16 19 20.

His first solo assignment leads him into the Weird Mirror’s supernatural space. He deliberately prolongs a conversation with its servants, Zhao Le and Wang Qianqian, while Mind Fog drains the space. Covert hunting and promotion

As his abilities grow, Li Feng begins secretly hunting supernatural beings. Tian Yue mistakes his detached fog for an anomaly and destroys approximately a third of it. He later exploits her battle with the Butcher Wraith to drain both combatants and obtain the energy needed for another mental breakthrough 16 17 34 35.

During the dismemberment investigation, his Weird Mirror helps the team locate, confine, and weaken an advanced-danger demon. He creates the opening for Yuan Chengfang’s finishing attack. Painted Skin and the reunion
