Background / History

With Toji Fushiguro still alive, Megumi was initially placed in the Zenin Clan rather than entrusted to Satoru Gojo. His surname was changed, and he lived within the clan without real authority 37.

Kamo Xu later instructed Toji to hand Megumi over to Gojo while continuing to protect Suguru Geto’s remaining followers. Toji agreed, and Gojo removed Megumi from the Zenin Clan, restored his Fushiguro surname, and brought him to Jujutsu High as a first-year student. The narration describes these arrangements as Megumi being sold three times: Zenin Clan → Kamo Xu → Satoru Gojo 37.
