• Saberuno revealed himself to SEELE and explained that Zero was an ace warrior from the Land of Light’s Space Garrison.

• Zoffy reassured Ultraman that branches, allied forces, and younger Ultra Warriors were helping contain the Belial Splinter disasters.
• Ultraman praised the humans from their universe for establishing an embassy and helping planets affected by the disasters.
• Limings reported that a Belial Splinter had dramatically enhanced the Embryo Angel and that Adam was an energy-based life-form with similarities to Ultras.
• Zoffy and Ultraman considered whether humans in Zero’s world might share a connection to light and hoped Zero’s group would stop the Human Instrumentality Project.
• Ultraseven 21 reported that an unidentified invasion force planned to enter Zero’s world, but said Ultraseven had already gone there to help Zero.

Ultraseven was pulled through a portal while fighting aliens, and Zoffy warned Zero that Ultraseven was coming to check on him and that an alien invasion might be imminent. Zero and NERV prepared to defend the base and keep the Human Instrumentality Project secret from Ultraseven, while Shinji and Asuka ended the night on a shy note.

• Kaji examined photographs of a figure repeatedly appearing near Angels and aliens, heard that Devil Splinters had gone missing in Eagle Nation, and decided to investigate the organization involved.
• Zero turned his glasses into his human form, Shin Moroboshi, and attended Shinji’s school advancement meeting with Misato, where Shinji’s teacher identified his grades as his main weakness.

Shinji transformed into Zero and fought Hayato’s shape-shifting Belial Fusion Beasts, protecting civilians and UN aircraft as Skull Gomora and Lightning Killer overwhelmed him. Hayato then transformed into Pedanium Zetton, which pinned Zero down as his timer began flashing, forcing Zero to prepare his trump card.

• Shinji and Shin Moroboshi reached the school roof, where Shin Moroboshi transformed into the Zero Glasses and Shinji became Zero.
• Zero blocked Skull Gomora’s beam with a Green Barrier, then fought to hold the monster back while civilians evacuated.
• Skull Gomora battered Zero until he changed into Strong Corona Form, then Zero hurled it into the sky and struck it with Garnet Buster.
• Lightning Killer emerged from the smoke, seized Zero with its tail, and shocked him until UN aircraft interrupted its attack.
• Zero changed into Miracle Zero, rescued the aircraft, and wounded Lightning Killer with teleportation attacks and the Spark Lance.

Shinji and Zero pushed beyond their limits to battle Hayato’s King Galactron, while Asuka and Rei’s Evas joined the fight and were badly damaged. After Zero and Shinji defeated King Galactron, the battle ended with the monster exploding over Tokyo-3.

• Zero transformed into Infinite Form and wounded Pedanium Zetton, but Hayato transformed it into King Galactron after Zero’s beam attack shattered its barrier.
• King Galactron overwhelmed the exhausted Zero, and Asuka and Rei launched Unit-02 and Unit-00 to help him.
• Pedanium Zetton badly damaged both Evas and left Asuka and Rei in danger, prompting Shinji to draw strength from his determination to protect those he cherished.

• NERV identified the enormous Tenth Angel, the Sky Angel, and discovered its probing attacks were landing in the Pacific Ocean.
• Zero urged NERV to attack the Angel in space, but Yui Ikari delayed action while Ritsuko prepared airborne thrusters for the Evas and Misato ordered civilians evacuated.
• Misato briefed Shinji, Rei, and Asuka on their operation, and the three Evas took off with flight devices mounted on their backs.

• UN technicians analyzed Mk2 as it broadcast soothing music, but it later announced that it would reset Earth and eliminate humanity.
