| Peak Seven-Star Dou Saint | 18 20 | Accepts Huang Jiuji as her master and receives his cultivation after Xiao Tian Ce declines it. Her resulting realm is confirmed in Chapter 20. She subsequently spends roughly nine years consolidating her initially unstable Dou Qi while suppressing another breakthrough 18 20 38. |

Xiao Tian Ce tells her to retain the Emperor's Origin he previously left her, anticipating further improvement once the conversion is complete. No new cultivation realm is specified 477 478. |
Background / History
Xiao Qing is Xiao Tian Ce's niece. Her parents died when she was young, and she grew up beside him from the age of seven or eight. By the time he began preparing his branch's departure from the Xiao Realm, she had become a peak Two-Star Dou Saint and a respected elder 4 5.
As the branch's only younger-generation Dou Sheng, she attracted Xiao Tian Ce's attention as a possible future leader. He intended to hand clan affairs over to her once their preparations were established, provided she developed the necessary leadership skills. His discussions with her repeatedly served as lessons in planning, secrecy, and responsibility 9 39.
Her intervention during the Hun Clan invasion helped preserve tens of thousands of clansmen. Xiao Tian Ce explicitly credited her with saving lives and retaining numerous Dou Sheng experts, rather than blaming her for disrupting the original rescue plan. The survivors were settled in Heaven Beyond, although their morale had been devastated by the destruction of the Xiao Realm 51 56.
Over the Xiao Clan's thousand years of concealment, Xiao Qing handled most of its affairs while Xiao Tian Ce concentrated on cultivation and strategic preparations. She became the designated Young Clan Leader and possessed universally acknowledged authority to act as clan leader during his absence. Her work was recognized as a major contributor to the clan's resurgence 122 153 154 227.
After extensive preparation and testing, she formally succeeded Xiao Tian Ce as Clan Chief. She later remained responsible for the clan after his departure for the Great Thousand World, helping consolidate its position as the unquestioned overlord of the Dou Qi Continent. By the time she joined him in the Great Thousand World, she still held office but intended to relinquish it after finding a suitable successor 237 289 478.
Personality
Xiao Qing is deeply respectful toward Xiao Tian Ce and initially places complete trust in his judgment, supporting his decision to leave the Xiao Realm even without knowing all his reasons. She is also self-effacing: when praised for completing White Jade Capital, she credits his plans rather than claiming the achievement for herself 9 40.
Her loyalty is expressed through practical care. She guards Xiao Tian Ce's refining chamber for almost half a month, arranges an attendant for his emergence from another seclusion, and repeatedly warns him against risking himself against the Hun Clan 20 29 44 47.
Her compassion ultimately overrides her obedience. Although she accepts the need to delay rescuing the Xiao Clan until its arrogance has been broken, witnessing the massacre makes her question Xiao Tian Ce's decision for the first time. She abandons concealment to fight, then apologizes when he arrives—not because her concern has changed, but because she believes she has disappointed him 39 40 48 49.
She remains conflicted about that intervention long afterward. She is glad that many more people survived, but recognizes that sparing them before their arrogance was fully broken contributed to more than a century of internal strife during the clan's concealment 130.
Xiao Tian Ce describes her as upright and hardworking, while later praising her composure and ability to lead. Nevertheless, he considers her insufficiently hard-hearted and ruthless. Her attachment to loved ones is a particular vulnerability: she values affection and loyalty deeply and struggles to accept that Gu Yue's conduct makes her unsuitable to remain Clan Chief's Wife 61 227 260.
She does not covet authority. Before succeeding Xiao Tian Ce, she offers to support Heavenly Net as Clan Chief if he remains behind. Once her own succession becomes certain, she feels an immense burden and fears that a mistaken decision could ruin the clan. She nevertheless works diligently and accepts that the position requires her to place the clan's interests above her personal wishes 182 236 256 286 478.
Although generally good-tempered, she becomes intensely angry when Gu Dao manipulates Gu Yue and seeks access to the Ancient Emperor's Inheritance. Xiao Tian Ce teaches her to conceal her emotions and avoid allowing humiliation, anger, or hatred to determine her decisions. She subsequently hides her resentment even from Gu Yue while preparing a political response 259 260 266.

Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Spatial Storage Ring — Used to store recovered magical beast puppets from the Ancient Heavenly Phoenix Secret Realm 13.
- Secret Realm Information Scroll — Presented to Xiao Tian Ce after she secures information about the Ancient Heavenly Phoenix ruins 11.
- Eighth-Tier Spiritual Array Core — A jade pendant supplied by Xiao Tian Ce for concealment and evacuation. It can rescue up to five hundred clansmen, with its final remaining power intended to teleport Xiao Qing away. She destroys it after rescuing 499 people so she can remain and fight 44 48.
- Replacement Evacuation Array Core — Entrusted to her after Xiao Tian Ce intervenes. Unlike the first array, this one has no limit on evacuee numbers. Its array dissipates after she enters last at the end of the evacuation 49 51.
- Old Phoenix — A Heavenly Demon Puppet entrusted to her by Xiao Tian Ce. She strengthens it through collected materials and prolonged lightning baptism; its cultivation reaches Early-Stage Nine-Star Dou Sheng and is later described as Mid-Stage Nine-Star Dou Sheng 91 142.
- Heaven-Tier High-Level Technique Scrolls — Two lightning-attribute Dou Techniques selected from Xiao Tian Ce's collection 152.
- Xiao Clan Chief's Token — The symbol of the clan leader's authority, formally handed to her by Xiao Tian Ce during her succession ceremony 237.
- Emperor's Origin — A portion left to her by Xiao Tian Ce as a future cultivation resource. After joining him in the Great Thousand World, she offers the boxed portion back, but he instructs her to keep it for use after converting her Dou Qi into spiritual power 236 477 478.
Relationships
- Xiao Tian Ce — Her third uncle and childhood guardian. He entrusts her with intelligence work and clan administration while preparing her as a potential successor. Their first explicit disagreement arises over the delayed rescue during the Hun Clan invasion. He later praises her rescue efforts, continues testing and educating her, and formally transfers the position of Clan Chief to her. She appoints him First Grand Supreme Elder, with commands carrying the same authority as her own, and explicitly says that she has long regarded him as her father 4 9 28 39 48 56 237 286.
- Huang Jiuji — Her master. She initially asks that his cultivation be given to Xiao Tian Ce, but accepts it under her uncle's order and formally becomes Huang Jiuji's disciple. She later consults him about using his soul for puppet refinement. The puppet made from his body, Old Phoenix, eventually becomes her personal combat support 18 19 91.
- Xiao Chun — Addressed by her as “Second Grandfather.” He worries about her prolonged absence and praises her growing administrative ability. He helps settle the rescued clansmen and organizes the ceremony at which she succeeds Xiao Tian Ce 23 40 56 236 237.
- Xiao Tian Ming — Addressed as “Uncle Tian Ming.” She is asked to summon him home after his years in the continent's northwest. He later defends the timing of her succession by pointing to her long record of handling clan affairs and her formidable strength 40 227.
- Xiao Xuan — Her clan leader. She recognizes his exceptional talent but wishes he would abandon his dangerous Dou Di attempt and give Xiao Tian Ce more time to strengthen the clan. Gu Yue later informs her that his soul survives in the Gu Clan's Heavenly Tomb. While he operates as Xuanhuang, she does not initially know his true identity but respects his words because Xiao Tian Ce has demonstrated trust in him 17 43 130 250.
- Xiao Long — A clansman who volunteers for chamber guard duty after she arranges for someone to attend Xiao Tian Ce upon his emergence from seclusion 29.
- Hun Clan — Enemy faction. Its slaughter of her relatives drives her to reveal her strength, abandon her evacuation safeguard, and vow revenge against the Soul Realm. She later advocates retaliation, directs searches for its hidden forces, and personally attacks its Bloodthirsty Soul-Devouring Formation 47 48 90 104 214 220.
- Heavenly Net / Tian Luo — Xiao Tian Ce's soul-derived avatar and one of her principal mentors. He explains the political purpose of the Xiao Clan's return and guides her in preparation for leadership. She considers him effectively another third uncle and offers to support him as Clan Chief if he stays behind. He later advises her during the conflict with Gu Dao and recommends Ya Fei as a suitable replacement for Gu Yue 92 182 260 266.
- Gu Yue — Her wife, chosen through the Xiao–Gu marriage alliance. They grow close at the reception, but Gu Yue later tries to win over Xiao Clan Dou Zun, prompting Xiao Qing to order her to stop building a faction. Their relationship deteriorates further when Gu Yue supports Gu Dao's efforts to obtain the Ancient Emperor's Inheritance for the Gu Clan. Although Xiao Qing still loves her, she ultimately accepts that Gu Yue is unsuitable to remain Clan Chief's Wife and moves toward replacing her 130 131 154 250 259 260 275 286.
- Ya Fei — A trusted Heavenly Secret Tower administrator and political collaborator. Xiao Qing leaves headquarters in her care while retrieving intelligence and participates in the schemes she proposes against rival clans. After Heavenly Net recommends her as a prospective Clan Chief's Wife, Xiao Qing brings her to meet Xiao Tian Ce and openly favors her over Gu Yue 182 207 266 274 275.
- Gu Dao — An antagonist in her domestic and political affairs. His manipulation of Gu Yue and efforts to secure the Ancient Emperor's Inheritance make him the person she most hates. She seeks permission to kill him and subsequently plans retaliation against the Gu Clan. Gu Yuan later promises to execute Gu Dao and send his corpse to her for inspection 259 260 266 285.
- Gu Yuan — The Gu Clan leader and a political negotiating partner. He arranges the original marriage alliance with Xiao Tian Ce, then later negotiates directly with Xiao Qing over the Heavenly Tomb Trial, accepting replacement of the Clan Chief's Wife and promising action against Gu Dao. She refuses his proposal for another marriage alliance involving Xiao Xun'er, judging that the Xiao Clan no longer needs one 122 130 285.
- Ling Hua — Spirit Clan leader with whom she negotiates a proposed vassal relationship. She agrees to support his consolidation of the Spirit Clan if he succeeds in persuading the Yao Clan to submit as well 110.
- Yao Chen — Cooperates with her during the attack on the Bloodthirsty Soul-Devouring Formation. Despite being Xiao Yan's teacher, he treats her with junior respect and assists her with his Bone Spirit Cold Flame 220.
- Xiao Yan — A younger clansman whose conduct she evaluates through Heavenly Secret Tower's surveillance. She concludes that he repeatedly chooses against the clan when its interests conflict with his own and supports Xiao Tian Ce's judgment that he is unsuitable for the Ancient Emperor's Inheritance 286.

- Advocates retaliation when the Hun Clan strikes, arguing that the revived Xiao Clan no longer needs to fear a full-scale war 90.

- Reassures Gu Yue that her succession is already supported by the clan and does not require a private faction 154.
Rival Alliances and the Hun Clan Campaign

- Is told that Gu Yue can no longer remain Clan Chief's Wife because she prioritizes Gu Clan interests. Xiao Tian Ce leaves the final handling of Gu Yue to her and gives her ten years to settle the matter 259 260.
- Conceals her resentment and proposes a Heavenly Tomb Trial as an ostensibly friendly gathering for Emperor Clan and Central Plains talents 260.
- Secures the clan's approval and arranges invitations. Heavenly Net encourages a decisive response to the Gu Clan and recommends Ya Fei as a prospective Clan Chief's Wife 266.
- Monitors Gu Yue while growing closer to Ya Fei and takes Ya Fei to meet Xiao Tian Ce 274.
- Refuses Gu Yue's attempt to speak privately with Ya Fei, suppresses her angry challenge with her aura, and leaves with Ya Fei, making the intended replacement evident 275.
- After reaching Half-Emperor, rejects Gu Yuan and Zhu Kun's request without fearing retaliation, relying on her own strength, her puppet, and Heaven Beyond's gathered experts 279.
- Negotiates with Gu Yuan, who accepts replacement of the Clan Chief's Wife and promises to execute Gu Dao. She rejects his proposal for a new marriage alliance involving Xiao Xun'er 285.
